“Ashley was a 10/10. She was nice, attentive, she honestly went above and beyond and it felt natural. Those brussel sprouts do it every time. So good. The drinks were just OK /not her fault. Tons of ice in the marg and not really any flavor. She fixed this tho. The atmosphere is low because there was flies every here and there. Other than that we had a great time. Will keep coming back!“

“Uniquely seasoned food served promptly and pleasantly. Outdoor seating is available in a private booth design that's very 'public' since it's on the sidewalk. The interior design is remincent of authentic Chinese culture with wooden dragons carved in the wall. You can sit at the bar or sit in the main dining area. The culinary delights are streamed, gluten free or lightly fried. The chilli sauce/oil is a nice surprise it's fragrant with a hint of perfume of anise, cardamom and clove, amongst other herbs, all smothered in oils and Sichuan pepper. I highly recommend this spot.“

“Made reservations at 7pm at loch bar for my sister’s birthday. I got there first and since my sister was a few minutes away, the host couldn’t seat me without her. My sister arrived at 7:05pm and the host informed us that it was busy therefore we would have to wait at the bar until there is a table available. I’m not sure what is the point of a reservation, if you won’t be seated right away. The bartender was really nice and welcoming. 20 minutes later, there was an open table. The appetizers were delicious especially the mussels!!!! The caviar and potato skin were sooo good as well. The oysters were fresh & cold just how I like it. I ordered shots of clase azul for my sister’s bday and we decided to do a bump of caviar & a shot of clase azul. It was a great combo! Thank me later.“

“I do hope the owners bring back their original menu and start offering biang biang noodles and the pork rib noodle again. Those noodles were so fresh, authentic, and flavorful. For our family, these items were what really set this place apart from other Chinese restaurants in the area, and why we visited multiple times a week. We are anxiously waiting for the menu to update again!“

“Make no mistake. Don’t expect awesome Chinese food. This place serves its purpose incredibly well which is food that tastes good enough for incredible value in price and portion sizes. If you like Panda Express, you will like this place. For $47 we got enough food for 4 meals (5-6 if you are a light eater or with kids). The value is crazy good and perfectly met expectations.“

“I was looking for roast crispy duck. I didn't want to go to Chinatown because its gotten rundown, yucky traffic, expensive parking and horrible SEPTA. I decided to stay in my neighborhood so I could walk. I worried about it being expensive. Chestnut Hill is high end and the restaurant looked pricey. What a WONDERFUL SURPRISE! I was a solo table but still treated like a queen with lots of servers checking in, giving water and smiling. The roast duck in black bean sauce on the cast iron plate was SCRUMPTIOUS. It comes with a healthy side of white rice and delicate, flavorful bok choi. The skin was crispy yet NOT oily or greasy. The CHUNKS of tender duck meat were excellent. The sauce was thick, savory and yummy. FOODGASM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The portion was so healthy that I was able to take a container home for lunch the next day. Then I ordered the Mudslide ice cream pie for dessert. PERFECTION. Dense, creamy, sweet but not cloying with nut accents, fresh strawberries and cream as garnish. Cool treat on a humid Summer night. When the bill came, I was shocked that it was less than $40. I did not order a cocktail because I wanted to concentrate on the food. I gave them a big tip and said I am absolutely returning. I am also addicted to their spring rolls too. Two perfect crunchy flaky rolls filled with a balanced combination of shrimp, cheese, and cabbage that you can dip in duck sauce or mustard or just enjoy plain.“

“For those who grew up in Cantonese households all know what “熱氣 (yit hei)” is all about lol.
What first caught my eye was the name: “Heung Fa Chun” (杏花邨) is actually the name of a real housing estate in Hong Kong, which instantly gave me a sense of authenticity.
They serve all kinds of nostalgic HK style snacks, from steamed buns and zongzi to traditional pastries and desserts. A true hole-in-the-wall gem in Philly Chinatown.
I was feeling a bit “yit hei” (literally “hot air” in Cantonese), so I grabbed myself a 龜苓膏 (herbal jelly/gui ling gao, aka “turtle jelly”). It's one of the go-to remedies for combatting yit hei. If you’re feeling yit hei, like breaking out, getting sore throats, or even indigestion, you need to eat some gwai ling go.
I was quite surprised to find it here. My mom would be so proud I got it without her having to tell me.
Warning: it’s VERY bitter if you eat it on its own. Definitely add the syrup to turn it into a healthy sweet trea.“

“Got general Tso chicken, pork fried rice and an iced tea for $10.50. No idea how they are able to charge this little but the food wasn’t bad at all. The pork fried rice was a lil blah, next time I will just get white rice. I didn’t call to order and my food took a lil while but I was very happy with the general tso chicken. Will order again.
Parking: Small lot. Shared with laundry.“

“I have lived in 4 towns and tried many Chinese takeout. This place is literally the best Chinese food I've ever had. I drive 30 miles for their sesame chicken with wonton soup. Great deal and the wonton are the size of your fist and you get two. They also delivered to me in 12in of snow in 2014. I felt terrible for asking but they saved me when I had no food for days. You will not regret it.“

“It is affordable and has a large portion. It is said that the beef brisket rice is delicious, but the quantity of beef brisket rice is limited, so it is best to buy it before twelve o'clock.
There were a lot of people queuing up and you had to wait for about fifteen minutes.“

“My family and I 5 generations have enjoyed your food over the years. From my granny (who has now past) my mother, myself, my children, and now their children. The food is always fresh, tasty and having moved down south trips back up North include a 30 - 40 min drive from New Jersey. Love the family, when we come for food we often talk about our children as we are in the same age group and update on the new things. Visiting soon will be making a trip over.“

“I have ordered dinner delivery from here a few times. All of the food has been very tasty.
Sweet Water Noodles: I really enjoyed - they had a tasty chewy texture and flavorful sweet & spicy sauce.
Cucumber w Garlic Purée: very refreshing and tasty.
Chef Z’s Dumplings: high quality & flavorful.
Eggplant w Salted Egg Yolk: I loved this a lot and it balances out the spicy dishes.
Mala Dry Pot: wasn’t my cup of tea but was full of complex flavor that someone who enjoys that type of dish would enjoy.
Dan Dan Noodles: very tasty (keep in mind that the mild level of spicy is still spicy for most palates in this country) - the peanut flavor kept me coming back for more bites. Shredded Pork w Garlic Sauce: very flavorful and enjoyable as well - I gobbled it down.
Shredded Beef Burger w Green Ox Horn Pepper: very flavorful, but one of the buns was stale/too chewy/dry - weirdly the other bun was good.“

“We moved and needed to find a new Chinese restaurant. We tried another one in the area first that was not good, ended throwing some of it away. Then we tried China King! Three years later, and they've never disappointed us. The food is always fresh, hot and delicious no matter if it's takeout or delivery. If you're in KOP and have a taste for great Chinese, remember the KING😉 is the only choice!“

“Best neighborhood Chinese food! There is always that 1 special restaurant that has everything and this is it. Good food, friendly staff and good service! Always clean and food is always fresh! Only thing I don't like is that they only take cash and sometimes I forget and I will use the ATM in the store, which I may not feel is the safest thing to do! But for the food and my forgetfulness, I will use it ?... loveee the chicken wings and veggie lo mein! Great selections on the menu but these are 2 of my faves to order... place ur order today! U won't be disappointed“

“Got two orders of General Tso’s. Crispy, spicy, and arguably the best in Philadelphia. Portions were solid, prices were easy on the wallet.
Tommy was cool — service was fast and chill.
And yeah… you can even grab a pack of cigs after. Elite.“
“The general tso's sauce IS the best! I get the general tso's tofu (don't knock it till ya try it) and it's great every single time. Their tofu(or whatever)+ broccoli (brown sauce) is really good as well. I don't usually get the fried rice but I recall it being decent. Not a sit in restaurant and it isn't the most welcoming store front as another person as mentioned, but the food is fast and delicious and I have never had a single issue.
Vegetarian options: General tso's tofu“

“This was perfectly executed New York-style takeout. Everything was delicious and the chef was accommodating to my special requests. I got one of the dinner combos. The egg roll was made in-house, stuffed full of veggies and seasoned with pork. The pork fried rice was delicious with strong char siu pork flavor. And the General Tso’s had a great sweet flavor with a hint of five-spice and a hint of heat. I’m new to town, this was my first Chinese order. I found my place!“

“Got a general tso combo platter. Super fast, the staff is very friendly, and the portion size is easily double anywhere else in east mount airy for a dollar or two less. Downside is the chicken was not crispy, and it was barely in the box for 5 minutes so i know it didnt get soggy that way. Also the fried rice and egg roll were only so so. Because of the huge portion im having some of the chicken for lunch the next day, 100 percent better cold so it isn't soggy.“

“Her food is good and they are really fast. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 cause they gotta do better with the frying oil (change the oil when they supposed to) cause sometimes when I get chicken wings I can taste the dirty oil and that's not very pleasant. Prices are average and service is good.“

“While at Reading Terminal Market, I came across an article by Visit Philly listing 15 must-try items—and #12 was the two-meat platter from Sang Kee, with roast pork and duck over soup noodles instead of sticky rice. I decided to give it a shot, and wow—what a fantastic recommendation.
For about $17, it was absolutely worth it. The roast duck was rich and flavorful, the pork was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the broth tied everything together beautifully. It was downright delicious.
If you're at Reading Terminal and craving something savory and satisfying, this is a must-try. I’ll definitely be back.“

“My friends and I tried Jin House for the first time yesterday because Uber eats was running a buy one, get one free promo on a lot of their combination platters which was extremely risky because we never tried it but I’m so glad we did. We paid for only three platters which was the pepper steak, general Taos chicken and lastly the rib tips but got six. We also ordered 3 pints of rice but was surprised to see that all 6 platters also came with a variety of white rice and fried rice. Now what’s most important is the food! The general Taos was my favorite thing. The chicken cuts were huge and I love that they made it spicy. The rib tips were also extremely good, they cut them up extremely small which made them easy for me to bite which I appreciated. They also gave us free shrimp egg rolls which was very good. It didn’t taste like your average eggrolls from the Chinese store. It was juicy and fresh. I was impressed by how good it was. Lastly, I got the pepper steak and onions. If I’m being honest, it wasn’t my favorite thing. It had too much onions which I’m not a big fan of and only a few pieces of meat and in my opinion was too sweet but it’s okay to not like some things and it didn’t ruin my experience. I’ll definitely come back to try more things. I’d say try it out!!“

“Chicken to rice ratio is perfect , the chicken is cooked nice and crispy, with plenty of sauce tho the flavor is kinda off and bland , combo platter doesn't come with a egg roll tho that's not bad at all the rice is delicious not the best but better then a few spots in this area , plus the cheapest so far at 8.75 for a combo platter food was quick ten min wait ,“
