“I love the food here so much! I became a vegetarian during the pandemic because I realized how much environmental damage the meat industry causes and how they have no repercussions for any of the harm they cause. At first, it was hard! There’s few vegetarian restaurants out there, and those that have vegetarian options are normally not that good. Let’s face it. Most veggie-style versions of food aren’t as tasty when you’ve eaten meat your whole life. But let me tell you, this place breaks that stereotype. It was hard learning to cook again since I’ve mostly known how to prepare different meat-based dishes my entire life. (With few exceptions) But this place was truly inspiring in that way. I learned that anything you could want could be made without the use of animal products. It’s life-changing to taste the possibilities that well-seasoned and prepared food can bring. I have taken my family, friends, and coworkers here since 2020, and I will never not love this place. It even holds a special place in my heart for another reason. My husband and I ordered our wedding feast from them and it just added to the magic of that special day. ❤️“

“Man let me tell you!Went to PF Changs to celebrate my cousins birthday. Our server Ashley was absolutely incredible. Super attentive and thoughtful, crafted some wet naps because I had a spill on my jacket. Gave us some complimentary appetizers and remained mindful of our shellfish allergy. She was awesome! Please come see her.“

“Great service! Very modern, elegant seating with pop music in the background. Plenty of free parking in their lot.The good: In addition to the aforementioned - Yummy boba. Some of the best jajang mein I’ve ever tasted; the sauce is rich and full of flavor. Breading on their popcorn chicken was yum. Love they have a reward program (Toast - $5 off for every $50 you spend). The meh: The prices are steep. Boy, I know we had inflation and maybe they don’t have much competition around, but get ready to spend a pretty penny. The rose blossom drink has very fruity overtones; maybe some people like that, wasn’t for me. And would recommend a container that has more airflow for popcorn chicken because it gets soft very quickly when it’s completely airsealed for take-out.All that being said, I would totally come back when I’m in the area. It’s a nice treat!“

“Well well well... why didn't I know about this place sooner?! My mommy treated me out for dinner in celebration of my birthday and we decided to eat family style because duah were family but because we are greedy too haha. Anywho.. I was very impressed by the interior as the restaurant was so cute inside--Very dim, and just a complete vibe. Our server was very patient and helpful with guiding us through the menu items. I had a blueberry lemon drop to start out which was very light, sweet and refreshing--My kind of drink. We ordered the salt and pepper wings and trio seafood, along with the string beans, authentic fried rice, shrimp pad Thai, sui mai and for dessert we tried the egg custard buns. Everything was quick, hot, flavorful and just perfect. I have not stopped thinking about this place since, and surprisingly the star of the show for me was the Egg Custard Buns which I tried for the first time and I was super impressed--They were warm, fluffy, and paired perfectly with the sweet custard on the inside, and it wasn't heavy either!! 10/10 across the board for me... Thanks Dim Sum House!“

“Located in the heart of Philly, Sampan isn't just a restaurant; it's a happy hour haven where exquisite flavors meet exceptional value. As a used-to-be regular, I had the pleasure of exploring much of their happy hour menu, which boasts an array of dishes that consistently impress, from the kim chee fried rice to the pork bao buns, Kobe sliders, and potstickers. The drink selection is also fantastic, featuring unique cocktails that are both inventive and refreshing (recommend trying the daily cocktails!), each pairing flawlessly with the happy hour dishes. The ambiance of the place, combined with the quality of service and cuisine, makes it the best happy hour in Philadelphia in my opinion. Whether you're winding down from work or kicking off a night on the town, Sampan's happy hour is an unbeatable choice for quality, value, and a guaranteed good time.“

“I'd actually been to Dan Dan years ago, the last time I was in Philly, and decided to come back. Even years later, the noodles were still memorable, but this time I decided to try something else. They had a bunch of options for entrées, but I decided to go with Hot Dry Pot Dish (Chicken), since it came with a bunch of vegetables. I was very pleased with the portion size and the dish was delicious! I actually sat at the bar, since it was just me, but they had plenty of regular tables as well. The vibes were pretty relaxed, but I could see it being more lively on a Friday or Saturday night. I really enjoyed my meal here!“

“I’m crazy about this restaurant! I pickup at least once a week. General Tso is my absolute favorite. The egg rolls are amazing and I love the egg drop soup. The portions are big! Always leftovers. They have a ATM inside if you don’t have cash.“

“Uniquely seasoned food served promptly and pleasantly. Outdoor seating is available in a private booth design that's very 'public' since it's on the sidewalk. The interior design is remincent of authentic Chinese culture with wooden dragons carved in the wall. You can sit at the bar or sit in the main dining area. The culinary delights are streamed, gluten free or lightly fried. The chilli sauce/oil is a nice surprise it's fragrant with a hint of perfume of anise, cardamom and clove, amongst other herbs, all smothered in oils and Sichuan pepper. I highly recommend this spot.“

“Service was great and I had a delicious honey iced green tea. My pork belly ramen was good but not like "whoa this broth" good that you sometimes find. They had a whole bunch of dim sum offerings I didn't try but looked good so a generous 4 stars.“

“Relatively hip and less expensive dining option for hibachi, in house rolled sushi, Japanese and Chinese cuisine. Usually not extremely busy. Friendly staff, very fast service typically, friendly prices that equate to a very decent meal before maybe going to the regal theater just around the corner for a dinner and movie night that won't kill your wallet these days. If you're looking for a dine in option (take out/delivery available as well) that's not formal or overpriced, yet still decent Chinese/Japanese food, this is definitely a great choice.“

“I highly appreciate this restaurant and the hard working and courteous restaurant staff. We as a family have eaten here for lunch and dinner, experiencing very well prepared meals including the steamed dumplings, chicken with vegetable sauté, hot and sour and wonton soups and chicken as well as shrimp with black bean sauce. In addition to an efficient and attentive server staff, a very helpful Manager Allen made a point to come over and greet me, my Bother & Sister-in-Law and my Aunt and Mom, giving my Mom & Aunt a slice of ice cream cake with candles spontaneously (when he learned that we were celebrating my Aunt and Mom's Birthdays)! Highly recommended“

“This place is legit. Spicy, but they nail the spice level exactly what I wanted (your mileage may vary). Fast service, nothing special but very polite. The dining room has a college area vibe, stripped down and simple but clean. It's all about really good, fresh, well-executed, spicy Sichuan food. I'm a fan!“

“Well, we went here for pick up after hearing good things. The food was okay. The pork fried rice was flavorful, but the rice seemed a bit overcooked. Daughter liked her beef lo mein just fine. The beef and black bean sauce was not what hubby and I are used to when we go to Chinatown. Very few black beans, actually, mostly chopped veggies and some beef. The flavor was good, but they did not give us the white rice it was supposed to come with. The service was fast.“

“I love this place! It’s my go-to for my family. Every time I come in, it’s a great experience. The woman at the front desk always greets with a smile and even a hug! Everyone there works so hard and makes the best Chicken and Broccoli. I even ask on DoorDash for just French fries for my toddler, and they do it! Love this cozy Blue Bell jem of a restaurant! :)“

“You know the invisible Chinese Food chain that exists nearly everywhere in America? Each has a different name, but they all have the same menu and price? Pak Yue is the _best_ manifestation of that restaurant. Wonton Soup is packed with wontons, you couldn't fit another one in the takeout container. To Go trays barely close, they're so stuffed. If your bill is five, ten cents over a dollar amount they wave it off instead of making you carry nine dimes the rest of the day. They're super generous with sauces. And, amazingly, when they quote "15 minutes" when you call for takeout, it's actually fifteen minutes. If you don't like Pak Yue, you probably just don't like this quasi-franchise of food.“

“We are Hong Konger and enjoy the traditional 'Dim Sum' since we were kids. Their authentic 'Dim Sum' brings back all the memories of those good old days and good food. The atmosphere is good, the 'Dim Sum' is tasty and juicy. The service is very good too and they treated us like a family. They are very friendly and polite. But a friendly reminder to remind you that the 'Dim Sum' is freshly made and very hot inside. The 'Siomai', 'Beef Ball' and 'Ham Sui Gok' appeared to be cold and dry outside. Actually, they are very hot and juicy inside. Never try to swallow it down and you will regret. But taste it with a small bite and you will enjoy it. Taste it and you will come back again with your best friend and family. No lie.“

“Jin Ding is really good. The owner is now cooking here, and he’s atop Hong Kong chef. If you haven’t been here for a while, you should try their Christmas special. It’s really good and reasonably priced. But you better hurry because it ends by the end of the year. We had the Christmas special and we had stuff to take home. we came back again for an early dinner. Ming, the owner head chef out did himself we had roast duck, bean shoots with garlic, and a fish hot bowl. Super good stuff. Really Chinese tasting food. Felt I’m back in Hong Kong.“
“I hadn’t had salt pepper spare ribs(椒盐排骨)cooked this way for a long time so I was very happy.I am still giving 5 stars because I personally didn’t care too much. But I noticed a small piece of plastic (from a plastic bag or something like that) in the rice. I guess this happens when you have a small kitchen on a truck.“

“Always enjoy the vibe and service at New Leaf. Enjoyed seating outside. Service was attentive, food was delicious. Always love their sushi. Eye pleasing, fresh and tasty. My favorite is always the salt & pepper squid. As good as what I've enjoyed in China town. I'm fact I think I like it better. Singapore noodles are always a go to. The surprise was the sweet and sour chicken. I've never had big meaty pieces of chicken for this dish. We were stuffed for our party of two when left. The best part, we can have leftovers today!“

“I ordered Singapore noodles and two spring rolls the other day and to much delight it tasted great. It’s best to eat spring rolls as fast as possible for a crispier taste. The Singapore noodles I ordered was mild spicy and I would totally recommend others to buy it. It’s a thin noodle with great texture and flavor and the lady working behind the counter was so nice as well. Overall, great restaurant and if you haven’t tried their food yet, give it a try.“

“OMGGGGG - can I buy extra stars to give this review? Cause I would if I could! Peking Duck is one of my favorite all time dishes in life. I have missed having this well prepared since my favorite childhood place here in Houston closed many years ago. “This was my late mother's favorite restaurant, and also my teenage son's favorite restaurant. I didn't realize that they were going to close this beautiful location, so it was very special that we went there for my son's birthday celebration! They were slammed because of all the people who were trying to get one last amazing meal before they close on March 19, 2024, but the food remained absolutely amazing, flavorful, and beautifully presented! “

“Really like the decor after the renovation. Unfortunately they didn't have any noodle soups when I went, but they mentioned they would soon. Service was good and fast. Really liked the dumplings although pretty expensive. The karaage was more a Taiwanese popcorn chicken but it was really tasty and great value. Also loved fried basil. The Lu rou fan was good but a little too sweet.“

“I’ve passed this place so many times and finally stopped and I’m glad we did. The food is amazing, the staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. Everything on the menu looks good and Diana helped suggest what to order. All of the food is extremely flavorful and aromatic. The wood ear mushroom & pepper sauce is very refreshing and is a nice palette cleanser, had some spicy cucumber added to it and it was fantastic. We were also recommended the fried pork belly with leek which has a nice sweet and slightly peppery spice. Lastly the family stew is incredible. It has beef, shrimp, fish, leek, chili, pretty much ever flavor you can imagine with a nice spicy oily broth, one of the most flavorful Chinese dishes I’ve had. We will definitely be coming back, there was not a single thing I could complain about.“

“Hunan Palace is take out only. That doesn't bother us at all. This was our first visit. The food here is much better than our former Chinese restaurant. We ordered a variety of items; springrolls, general tso chicken, beef and broccoli, bbq spare ribs, chicken on a stick, vegetable lo mein. We felt the springrolls could have used a little more flavor but that's just our opinion. Every other dish was excellent. Plenty of sauce on all the dishes. The spare ribs were tender and moist not dry or stringy as they can be from other restaurants. Their chicken on a stick is prepared differently than I had ever had it. It had a light coating on it. No dried out, leathery chicken here! We will definitely be making Hunan Palace our regular chinese restaurant.“

“Best neighborhood Chinese food! There is always that 1 special restaurant that has everything and this is it. Good food, friendly staff and good service! Always clean and food is always fresh! Only thing I don't like is that they only take cash and sometimes I forget and I will use the ATM in the store, which I may not feel is the safest thing to do! “Excellent customer service! They’re really nice about taking your order, give options and re-ask to make sure you get the right order. The food’s pretty clean - not a bunch of grease. And very reasonably priced too. Gf liked her veg lo mein and my ribs were pretty good. Not a lot of honey or sugar flavor but really solid. I’m sure there’s nothing bad on the menu and definitely will be back .“
“Grabbed two lunch specials to go while in the area and was delightfully surprised! I got the beef with string beans and the shrimp lo mein—both were freshly made to order, and came with delicious pork fried rice and a chonky eggroll. The lady who took my order was friendly and patient, and the two chefs in the back clearly enjoy their work! They both were quick with the wok and smiling while preparing my food.My husband and I said "mmm" many times while we were eating. The flavors are bomb and aren't too salty. Will be back to try other dishes when I'm in the area. When it comes to American Chinese food, you can't do better than China House when it comes to the taste, portion, and service for the price!“
