“It was an unforgettable dinner. The moment I stepped inside, I felt as if I had been invited to a close friend’s or family member’s home for a warm, intimate meal. The space is small, cozy, and wonderfully personal. The two chefs prepared and served each course with perfect timing, offering fresh, beautifully crafted dishes one after another without a single moment of dullness.

It was a joy not only to taste the food but also to watch the careful, thoughtful preparation behind every plate. The flavors were excellent, the progression of courses felt seamless, and I left with that perfect feeling of satisfied fullness.

There is no doubt that this restaurant fully deserves its Michelin one-star rating. A truly memorable dining experience.

The only thing I found disappointing was that, although I mentioned it was our wedding anniversary when making the reservation, nothing was acknowledged at all. The staff’s prepared guests’ birthday cakes, special party hats, cards and even a moment where the lights were turned off so everyone in the room could celebrate together. In contrast, our table didn’t receive even a simple mention of our anniversary.“

“The Love. was simply incredible! We came here with our 6 year old son. Our waiter was fabulous and very accommodating to our 6 year old which you don’t always find in Rittenhouse. The atmosphere was light and airy and the food was great! Make sure to try their Dubai Chocolate Sundae and if you’re going with children they do have special kids cups and will accommodate the menu for them.“

“We had a reservation for 5 at 6pm. We showed up 10 or so minutes early. We were asked our seating preference and sat immediately. We had a few birthday to celebrate and we were given special treats throughout the meal. The entire experience was so enjoyable. I would highly recommend for casual evening out and when celebrating. The scallop ceviche was excellent, and we loved the pasta with ox tail (nicely done al dente) and the fried stuffed quail. A good dessert was the pear Tarte Tatin. From the small list of available wines, we chose a Joel Gott Cabernet Sauvignon, way overpriced (as wines generally are in PA restaurants). The reception was a bit frosty (we came way too early and even though the tables in the dining room remained empty, we were ordered to wait a half hour). A very good eating experience inside one of the great museums of the world.“

“Round 1 (read the second part)

They sat us next to the bathroom for starters and yes there were other seats available. The interior is very small. Now to the food, the wings had absolutely NO flavor to them. I ordered the lamb and that was undercooked and not so tasty. At this point, I was afraid to even touch the asparagus I ordered. My date had the meatballs and Mac and cheese. I suppose the only edible thing was the Mac and cheese. Plainly put I make the most outta bad situations but I couldn’t turn the corner in this place sorry… DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! P.S. I ended up having to order Chinese food later on that evening cause I couldn’t even finish the leftovers.

ROUND 2….. 11/22/2025

I went back! After the first go around. I was invited back by Michael, the GM of the restaurant. Good man btw. This time around The Butcher Bar definitely redeemed itself. Had the fried cauliflower with Brussels sprouts, amazing! For my entrée in went with the steak and the fries. My date had the burger. Definitely safer choices than my last meal and who knows over time I might work my way back up to lamb again. As it turns out the place is a lot bigger than I thought but they are busy so always set reservations… other than that I loved my experience and sure am glad I came back. Definitely a delicious redeemer here….“

“It was alright, no complaints other than the sandwich being under seasoned. I heard a lot about this place but can't say it lived up to expectations. Not that it dissapointed either, just fell somewhere in the middle for me. Maybe I just visited on an off day but for the price I don't think I'd go back.“

I went for restaurant week and ordered the shrimp creole. Omg I cleaned my plate and was still salivating over the idea of more when I got home. My partner ordered the crab soup and the salmon. Eyes rolled in the back of his head y’all. Everything was so well and for my first time they left a lasting impression. Would definitely dine here again. I’m just disappointed the shrimp creole isn’t on the regular menu.“

“What a great happy hour! The bartenders are attentive and personable. The bartender, who was serving us, made a special drink for my wife who wanted something with vodka. He nailed it and she loved it. The Ripp fries are an absolute must if you want a delicious bar snack. We also tried the squash blossom (recommended by the bartender) and it was amazing. “Love grabbing Too Good To Go from Dig Inn when I don’t want to cook but still want to eat clean. It takes the stress out of deciding what to eat and it’s a great deal.

This time I got a mixed salad with cashews that had the perfect crunch and a subtle nutty flavor without any heavy dressing weighing it down. The salmon was tender and flaky with a fresh, clean taste that wasn’t fishy at all. The roasted carrots were sweet and caramelized with just the right amount of char, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery but still light.

Now the garlic aioli — OMG, it’s creamy and rich with a bold, garlicky kick that hits just right without overpowering anything. It adds this amazing savory depth and a little tang that makes every bite better. I seriously could eat it by the spoonful.

The place is clean and simple inside, nothing fancy but nice enough. The staff is chill and friendly, they take their time and actually smile which is nice. Definitely my new go-to spot for easy healthy food.“
