The weight of the excess to be had here is seriously the only detracting factor in this review, a hungrier man than I would easily give this meal five stars with my blessing. The quality of the steak was top notch, I’m just hoping the second half of mine holds up as leftovers. The beef tallow fries were soft but very rich— while not entirely to my taste, the flavor was well complemented by the cooper sharp that accompanied it. Looking forward to my next visit!“

The only drawback is that they are expensive—$12 for a regular-sized sandwich! Great customer service at this location, with the people behind the counter chatting with you if you want.“

“Wanted to go five stars in this one just for the nostalgia of it all. And our server was super helpful and friendly. Maybe I made the wrong choice, but my “zep”cheesesteak waa just OK. A little skimpy on the meat, I thought. Fries were also…ok.

That said, the experience was worth the visit. Booths are a little less than comfortable for sitting, but it felt like taking part in a movie set for 60 years ago.

“I only get to order from here a few times a year unfortunately, but every time i get something from here it is great. Eggs are always cooked perfectly. They're variety is fantastic. Cupbop is always great and hardy! They are a family and very friendly people every time. This most recent experience was interesting. I placed an online order and went to pick it up and when i got there all the lights were out due to a black out. I saw someone else go inside and talked to the owners about my order, and they still made my order for me in pitch black! I have never had a restaurant do this, ever. Every time i can get down here and have time i will support them. Everyone else should as well.“

A Zep has one meat, thick cut onions, thick cut tomatoes, provolone cheese, oregano, oil, and sweet peppers optional. That's it. I gotta say this sandwich is absolutely delicious. “These empanadas are amazing! I bought two each of the chicken, beef and cheesesteak and they were all great. They are a good size, the meat is juicy and the dough is perfectly fried.

“I decided to look up somewhere to get something fast to eat near by this place popped up and had good reviews. Despite of the bad ones I decided to try it for myself I bought there cheesesteak fries and soda lunch special along with a brisket sandwich I also upgraded my fries to the Spanish fries, let me tell you something I wasn’t disappointed at all everything was great, flavorful, and hot it’s definitely a place to go to when I’m down the city! “I just moved into Rittenhouse Claridge and my experience has been great so far! John in the leasing office was very helpful and answered my many questions very promptly. Anita was at the front desk during my move in and is so pleasant and helpful, she made the experience very smooth. My apartment was very clean when I moved in. Also, the location of the building is amazing! Lastly, If you need parking, there is a garage under the building operated by LAZ parking, and Bala, the garage attendant, is wonderful. So far, I would definitely recommend living at Rittenhouse Claridge!“

It was painful to ask for directions since no one has any idea of how to pronounce the name of this restaurant (an my French pronunciation certainly didn’t help).“

“Great experience with a catering order—hoagie tray for 10. Ordered online—clear and easy. Food was ready on time. They kindly held my tray in the fridge while we ran into Trader Joe’s. Sandwiches were full and fresh and we loved that seeded bread. Good value, good product.“

“The restaurant is directly behind the AMC theater in an area covered with Avery signs. They even have parking in front of the store! I used Cecil B Moore and 15th St to get there after the store manager took all 10+ of my calls to get there.

On that note: The workers here are EXTREMLY kind, and the sandwiches were fresh and tasty.“
