I am really careful regarding eating out because I have sensitivities to certain foods which include onions, scallions, shallots, leeks, chives, and garlic. I explained everything to my server. She went above and beyond and consulted with the Chef to make sure there were no mistakes with my order. She did a wonderful thing! David Jacobo, the Executive Chef Partner at Seasons 52 came to my table and discussed what he could do. He prepared a special appetizer of "Flatbread" which was artfully plated and decadent with fresh basil. He also added a special side to replace a dish that was not on my diet. Chef David came to our table several times to question how I was enjoying his specific dishes. I know firsthand about being turned away from a restaurant because they could not accommodate certain dietary requests. A wonderful experience from the start with an attentive waitress and caring Chef. Highly recommend.“

“Food was good and priced reasonably. Staff friendly and service was quick. Parking was bad though, couldn't find anything close by. Ended up just parking across the street where it said Truck loading/unloading only and went in to grab the order. This appears to be what most people are doing too.

Restroom is down the hall, take the elevator down to the basement, and to your left. You can get the code from the security guard on the first floor.“

“Our server Anita T was very friendly and helpful. Grilled corn was fantastic. Ribs were flavorful and tender. Shrimp were seasoned nice and not overcooked. Even the French fries had some good salt and maybe paprika seasoning. Others at the table liked their food as well. The biggest points was getting a visit from the manager. That never happens anywhere anymore. She took a minute or so out of the busy dinner rush to make sure we were happy, made a few quick comments and was gone. Very delightful. I’d say the lava cake didn’t have any “lava” and maybe wasn’t made that day either. I’ll be back more often.“

“If you eat out often enough, you're going to have bad experiences. This was a special case where they "made it right." One of our meals was over-cooked and the manager caught it before they brought it out. He insisted the kitchen staff do it over correctly. He came and apologized to us directly, taking full responsibility. He made both our meals free. They were delicious and the service was great. We had the time, so it was a great experience. “Hidden gem in Philly for a private party! This was our second family celebration at Ruth’s Chris in two years. It was another home run. First of all, the food is absolutely superb. Most of our party got either the filet mignons or the ribeye steaks and they raved about the quality of the meat and how perfectly everything was cooked. I ordered the grilled salmon and it was also perfection, coming out exactly as I had ordered it. I can’t forget to mention our sides. We got the grilled broccoli and the garlic mashed potatoes and needless to say there wasn’t much left. We have never had better mashed potatoes lol! One of the most important parts of the evening was the trusted and consistently superb service that we have gotten. We actually were fortunate enough to have the same server as we had at our last party, Jim, who is not only a professional and excellent server, but he also made our party so much more fun. By the time we left, he felt like a member of the family. His assistant, Mossy, was also amazing! He was always there when we needed something, engaged us and also made the party so much more fun. We wanted to adopt him too! Both men knew their way around the menu for drink or food advice!
The restaurant seemed fairly busy with hotel guests, but I do believe that Philadelphians are missing out on this absolute gem of a place, especially if you have a special celebration. We celebrated my dad‘s birthday there last year, and the table had been thoughtfully decorated by the lovely staff at Ruth’s Chris. They did the same thing last night as well, decorating the table with graduation themed favors and had placed a personalized menu at each place. A candle in the dessert of the graduate. Wow. Where else can you get that kind of detail without even asking for it?? The restaurant manager popped in to check on us during our meal to make sure that everything was going perfectly. That is another indication of how important the excellence of the service and dining experience is to management at this restaurant.
The next time you’re thinking about having a private party, I would highly recommend going to Ruth’s Chris! We actually plan to go there just for a dinner again because the food was so excellent. But we will never forget how Ruth’s Chris made our entire graduation celebration even more special.“

“Longhorn’s on City Avenue is always crowded. Last time I was there…late night…the people looked liked Walmart people…I saw Daisy dukes…a young boy with a button down shirt open like he was Don Juan and weird looking people with triple stomachs in tight clothing who didn’t own a mirror. The food was good…service eh…they seemed really busy…I will opt for an earlier time..this isn’t Steak48 for sure…but the bill will be one third of it.“
