The prices are the highest of similar restaurants in the area but the food is really bad, never warm and has obviously been sitting around for some time. The restaurant has a nice location and used to be comparable to other like establishments but should definitely be avoided now.“

He often can’t eat the same desserts the rest of us eat due to the possibility of cross contamination at a lot of establishments. He ordered a blizzard this evening, and an employee thoroughly sanitized the machines used in making his blizzard before she made it. Dairy Queen could have just said they couldn’t guarantee there was no cross contamination, but instead they took the time and care to make sure my son could safely eat there, which was greatly appreciated. The staff is always kind. They work as quickly as possible. The ice cream and food are delicious. Thank you Dairy Queen!“

“Hands down the best ice cream in the state. Always a large variety of flavor options and staff willing to answer any questions about the product. The best flavors are the cheesecake ones, no question!

“I admit that this visit was marred due to an absolute melt down by my 3 year old after having some of his large cone scooped into a dish (apologies to anyone who had to partake in that). But beyond that, this is a cool little soft serve stand with some really enjoyable options and that feel you only get from a small ice cream operation on a warm summer night.

I tries the heralded raspberry soft serve, and found it truly something special, with the tartness of the raspberry mixing with sweet vanilla to be a very nice combo. My daughter got a rainbow cone and was very happy, and the couple normal bites my son had of his chocolate choice were nice. With nice cashiers and very fair prices for the area, it's definitely worth a go if in the area on any hot day or evening.“

The flavors will change with some frequency but there are a handful of staples as well. Today my wife enjoyed a scoop of pumpkin pie paired with a scoop of blueberry cobbler and I had a scoop of peanut butter and a scoop of chocolate marshmallow. We both were very satisfied with our choices and had to leave before we ordered more. It’s that good. So if you are in the Zelie area, stop in the Icebox Creamery (cash only) and pamper your palate.“

“If you ever go to any of their locations please ask for the homemade raspberry soft serve. I have it in a swirl setting on the biggest plastic cup because I enjoy taking my time. The cones may be for a faster eater. No matter if a cup or cone I guarantee you will love my favorite flavor. Have fun and kids love it also.
