“For awhile, there was some turnover in the cook staff and the service and food was not very good to be honest. Some of these issues seem to have been fixed and changes have been made for the better. Service is much faster and food quality has improved. If you haven't been there in some time, give it another chance. I'm glad to be patronizing again.“

All entrees ordered were delicious. The salmon in the salad was cooked the way ordered (well done) and my husband’s filet came out perfect. If I lived up here it would be a frequent spot visited.“

“This small restaurant is located on the main road to York Springs. We stopped by on a Saturday and found that it wasn't very busy. The food was decent, and the kids enjoyed the grilled cheese meal. You can see that the owners are trying to improve the interior dining area. Space heaters were placed around the checkout and dining area, which is a bit concerning for parents with young children who like to explore independently. Overall, it's a nice place for dinner.“

“Stopped by today for lunch with my daughter. Ordered a half pound of steamed shrimp for an appetizer,a cheese burger and a Italian cheese steak. Great food, fair price, huge cheese steak. Lunch was quiet, not noisy. Loved it.

“When my husband and I think of Perkins, we think of family. Everyone there has been great! From welcoming you as soon as you come in the door, to saying see ya next time when you leave. They are very polite and respectful.

Our meals have been good but there is always room for improvement. The food can be a little bland at times. There was a time our food came out cold, bacon was not crispy and my toast was burnt but our waitress, Kaylee, took care of it right away. She spoke with her manager Wade and he made everything right. Kaylee is very attentive, well mannered and a great server.

All the managers are awesome! We have gone to the Gettysburg restaurant but the service there does not match up to the service we get here at the Hanover restaurant.

“This place wasn’t bad but I expected a little better service. The steak was pretty ok. The Texas onion was on point. The shrimp was average. The salads were nothing to write home about. The server was less than desirable. No such thing as refills or prebussing tables. It was average at best. Prices are high compared to similar places. If I didn’t have a gift certificate I wouldn’t have chosen this place.“

“We camp a lot in Gettysburg and this is always one of our stops before heading into town. Inside is nicely updated and the outdoor area provides ample amount of space for eating, drinking and activities. Highly recommend this place. Side note, our truck broke down hauling our camper this past weekend, luckily if shut off while coming up to the bourbon mill, we had to leave the camper in their parking lot while our truck got towed. The owner was super nice and understanding. We appreciate you and will continue to always stop in on our travels to Gettysburg .“

“I have been going to the Famous for decades. Always ordered the Hot Dog w/ everything. I recently stopped in abd git my usual 2 dogs with everything and a Strawberry shake. I hatecto say this but the Hot Dogs were horrible. They were dry with a weird texture. I've spoken to several other frequent loyal customers and they said the same thing. I'm not sure if you changed your distributor, but I don't think I can go back. maybe for a cheeseburger with everything. I hope you check into this.“

“Some of my friends were saying how good the food is at the Bairs Den. Especially the cheeseburger sub. I did a take out, but ordered double cheeseburger sub w/lettuce,tomato and mayo. They gave me a double cheeseburger not a sub by mistake. Still tasted great“

“What a night! I finally took Cooper for his 1st Lobster. After watching lots of “Coyote Peterson” uTube videos for a couple months, he’d been asking me to take him to eat one. Today was the day. Thank you to Hanovers Red Lobster & their General Manager Michael, he gave us the ultimate educational experience & even sat down with us & showed Cooper how to eat it. Mike got the meat out while Cooper ate it 😂😂. Cooper loved every bite of it & dipped it in his “hot warm butter”. He suggested his 8 year old friend Mia, try a “no thank you bite” ( that’s my rule ! 😂) And, she liked it! It was so funny! Had a great time. Cooper had a blast & enjoyed having Mia join him too!! Thanks so much Michael, for accommodating my request, you’re the best👍😀“
