He was efficient, kind, and organized. From the drinks served before, to the food, then the cake,and packing us up to go, he did it all with a little help by Samantha. “It is rated one of Pittsburgh's top ice creameries. I must concur. They have a very large selection of goodies to choose from. It is in a good location but it is a little hard to get in and out of. So be careful. Ice cream with cookies was excellent. I got the raspberry syrup with cheesecake. It was way too sweet for me. But the amount you get is great. It was well worth the price. I was a little bummed. They do not have picnic tables. All in all, it was a great place to go for a dessert. 🙂“

“Al's cone zone is the best! Their quality is great. The banana ice cream has actual bananas not just banana flavoring. Same with the strawberry ice cream and so on. I opt for the strawberry banana milkshake. Its soon good. Definitely a stand out ice cream spot from other places. That's why you always see a lot of people in the parking lot and in line. The lines go by quick tho!“

The Draft wagon from Bloom Brew which is the local craft brewery in West Newton, has four selections to choose from at this location with one choice being a cider. The convenience of this draft wagon along with the Outpost burger place next door is great. No waiting to be seated or a person to serve you. Order at the window and your all set! Opened in 2021, it is becoming a great place to enjoy a beer and chat up with other cyclists and the locals that stop by. All outdoor setting with plenty of shade to enjoy the day and your beverage of choice. The beer tenders are friendly and helpful.“

“I always get takeout but the dine in area is a clean simple pizza shop vibe.
The counter service is so busy and still organized and friendly. The pizza is very different than what you may be use to. Cheese and toppings are piled on cold after the crust and sauce are cooked to a crispy tasty perfection. I like to take a few bites as served and then bake or broil the rest. You gotta love cheese like I do to love this pizza. I personally love the sauce because it's not sweet nor bitter, very flavorful and clearly fresh made. If you think you can eat 4 square pieces, you may want to order 3 or save some for leftovers. If you're still reading, parking is tight but spots open fairly quickly. Just be a bit patient.“

However the meatball pho, the meatballs were a little dense and the broth didn't have that depth of flavor, it was missing roasted ginger, onion and star anise and a few dashes of fish sauce. But it was a good size bowl of noodles. I will most definitely go back to order the papaya salad and try their Tom yum soup or fried rices. The owner seemed very nice.“

Our drinks were filled when needed and we were checked on frequently. There weren’t many people in the dining room, so it was quiet and easy to talk. “I really don’t understand the negative reviews at this restaurant. My daughter and I have been ordering from here for years and we’ve also been inside the restaurant to eat many times and we’ve never had a problem. Their food is very good. It’s always hot when we get it And it tastes fresh to us. I was very happy to hear the buffet was back and it’s just as good as it always was. I wouldn’t hesitate to go eat there again. We eat there a couple of times a month.“
