“My server was so friendly and I appreciate her recommendation to get the eggs Benedict. That was the best eggs benedict that I had in a long time. The home fries were cooked perfectly but the green peppers were a little undercooked. I enjoyed my experience and will def be back!“
“First Timer! An absolute all around fantastic family run place! Happy well staffed Servers! The food fresh and wonderfully homemade! Psst Get those sausage links*****This a great personable good people gathering pace like in the past! Thank you Ballard's next time I bring my 9 grandkids“
“We came here for my birthday last Sunday. I was excited to see a cool little brunch spot close by. I have been saying for years this area needs more brunch spots! Super happy wr tried Chef Vargas. Great service..super friendly servers. Good qas superb. Can't wait to come back to try more things!!“
“How? How is Karla’s food this good? We’ve had nearly everything on the menu over the years and each dish is as outstanding as the next. The flavors, textures, ratios are all perfection. My husband and I without fail will look at each other a few bites in, shaking our heads and one of us saying: Karla seriously what the hell.“
“First Watch is a chain; thus, their approach is the same: I personally ate breakfast in one in Greenville, Delaware.A very healthy breakfast:1. Hot oatmeal--seems to be new to the menu. lots of generously-sized raw fruit mixed throughout. Although some milk and raw sugar were supplied, the sweetner was not really needed.2. A healthy, cold, vegetable drink of kale was tasty, but with way too much ice--giving me, of course, less to drink.3. A delightfully-tasty grilled blueberry muffin was part of the mix.4. I was told I HAD to order FOUR pieces of bacon (I wanted two) . I declined to order it. Turns out they aceded to my request.5. My moderate breakfast came to $21.28 with a 20% tip--a little steep to me, but still very enjoyable!“
“We stopped in for breakfast while waiting for my car and o be serviced. The technician at Piazza recommended Nudy’s. We were blown away! Friendly, efficient and pleasant staff. Delicious and unique breakfast selections. Will definitely be returning!“
“Been here more than a few times for breakfast and it never disappoints. Expect a wait if you're coming on the weekend, but list moves quickly. Lots of booths and rustic wood tables make this seem cozy despite the large size of the restaurant. We had the traditional eggs, farmhouse hash and smoked salmon frittata. All delicious. Request the almond butter for your toast, you won't be disappointed.“
“Champs is always a good stop for any good breakfast/lunch options. I've gotten their philly steak Dankwich, which at first didn't really love love, but the last times it's been amazing! Can specifically say their red velvet pancakes are the perfect sweet treat. Amazing customer service, you can tell people love this place and what they do (I wish I caught the guy's name, but he's always super helpful with any delivery orders and is absolutely hilarious!). It's not an eat-in restaurant, and the waiting area is pretty small but luckily you won't be there for very long because everything is pretty quick. Cecil B Moore is lucky to have Champs!“
“Shohali greeted us with a beautiful tray of pastries and then brought us possibly the best breakfast I have ever had! Definitely the BEST creamed chipped beef - the gravy tasted like it's been cooking for hours and is full of flavor. Delicious homemade biscuits, jam, and apple butter to dip my scrapple fries in! Very friendly staff and delicious food will have us stopping back in frequently ?“
“Such a great little hole in the wall of Germantown! And I mean that in the best possible way.Came here for a breakfast meeting with a coworker and enjoyed the chill atmosphere they had going on.It was self seating but the staff were very nice and homey tbh. The waitress didn't hound us the moment we sat down. She greeted us politely then gave us the menus and let us know to reach out when we were ready. When we were ready to order, the waitress was sweet and clearly understood our order. Giving us time to speak and we didn't feel rushed at all.Food came in a timely manner, nice and hot, and looked great with that diner feel. It tasted really good as well. I ordered the Texas turkey burger with a side of fries. Which were cooked to a golden crisp as fries should be. The price was reasonable with two meals being under $30.Definitely would recommend and would absolutely come back. ?“
“What looked to be a typical strip mall diner turned out to be a great breakfast. Very friendly staff, the French toast my wife got and my omlette were very good. Very generous portion of grits with my omlette... pretty sure this is the first time I ordered grits and didn't finish them because they gave me so much. Will remember next time we are in town.“
“This place was mad busy and there was only one waitress who was actually doing takeout orders and table service so service was really slow. The food was okay. However, if you're going to serve grits to African Americans or even anyone who southern for that fact, you need to season your grits. They were so bland you needed a ton of salt and butter. I'm thinking I might have to go down there and give them a lesson on how to make them. Lol. Other than that, the atmosphere was great. The eggs were good and everyone with me said they enjoyed their food“
“Been come here for forever Justin use to have the music pumping but haven't seen him I hope all is well but the breakfast always on a bean very welcoming wife and husband always welcoming an greeting with a smile great homestyle breakfast“
“So someone recommended this breakfast place to me. I went on my birthday in Feb 2024 and I’m so glad I did. WHEN I SAY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS ON POINT! I absolutely love when I feel appreciated where I’m spending my money!! That goes a long way. ????The food was delicious as well. Try their mango raspberry lemonade drink. So refreshing!! ?…. I will DEFINITELY be eating at this restaurant again!“
“Stopped for some breakfast after deciding where to try, food was ok, service was a little off...did not give us silverware till we asked when our food was on the table, was a bit annoyed waiting for the check after I asked, others asked and received there's before ours...tries it, but not sure if we go back.“
“My favorite breakfast place. 10/10 every day every time.Waffle with banana on top.Blueberry Muffin toasted with butter and jelly.French vanilla ice coffee.Bacon egg and cheese on white bread toasted with butter. Can't go wrong ❤️?Service is fast, professional and friendly.Have NEVER had a problem and the prices are on point.“
“Went for breakfast with my wife, had eggs easy over, they were on point. Wife had scrambled, cooked fine not to dry, not to wet. Bacon was crispy but not burnt. Server was attentive but not overbearing.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps with a wide door“
“Had a breakfast platter of omlette, grits, wheat toast, and home fries. Everything came out quickly and was piping hot. The homefries were fresh potato slices with fried onions. Old skool style. Food was relatively inexpensive. Coffee was hot and fresh. It's a small, no frills diner, but I'd return for a nice, hot meal.“
“We stayed in Brewerytown but found this hidden gem of a family run traditional diner. This is a non tourist spot where locals grab and go in a non stop in and out. Wide menu selection we ate 3 different mornings here because it was cheap, filling, and friendly, one of the few places open early morning is a plus. Family owned and mixed race staff was SO amazing to see! We always left full and happy. First time trying scrapple was just ok, like a fried patty of a dull flavored sausage. Had the 3 meat and egg combo best value. Grits were buttery and great with splashes of hot sauce. Pancakes just like something your mom would make for breakfast. BLT again nothing mind blowingly amazing, but comforting and familiar that takes you back to traditionally good homemade quality with regular ingredients. This would be same price as a Denny's but higher quality in service and quality taste. Come visit this diner is just a great Philly experience.“
“I have been patronizing M & M restaurant for many years. Marion and Margaret are the owners and operators of this little neighborhood eatery, a true husband and wife operation, the food is delicious and the service is great. It can get crowded especially on weekends, it a hole in the wall in the heart of Port Richmond and worth it.“
“A busy, mostly carry out service with good food and friendly service. There's about four tables you can sit and eat at after ordering at the counter. Had Bacon, eggs, and grits, one of my diner go-to breakfasts, and it was served quickly with nice fresh ingredients. The eggs were perfectly cooked over medium and they gave plenty of bacon“
“I ordered their Lolita smoothie with sea moss one summer day and it's been the only drink I've had here because I'm so hooked I refuse to try anything else. I could finish a large within minutes, it's that good! I wish they'll open a location downtown so I could get my smoothie fix more often.“
“This was the first restaurant my Grandmother took me to when I came to Philly when I was 8 I am going to be 44 in 2 months. Loyal customer for 36 years. They fed my family for 3 generations. It's not the same owners I started out with but the quality of food never changed and these owners owned it for decades. If you can ignore what's going on outside it's a great stop. The neighborhood changed the restaurant did not.“
“I did not take any pictures but this place was perfect for a quick pick me up! It's the perfect diner food that you need on a Saturday or Sunday morning after a late night! The woman who took my order was extremely kind and the food was served quickly!“
“So happy I found this place. I’m originally from CA and have been trying to find a breakfast burrito that tastes like they did back home. I found it! 10/10 breakfast burrito. My wife loved her breakfast sandwich and said the pancakes were amazing as well. Place was slammed on a Sunday morning so I did have to wait a little while for my food, but it was worth the wait.“
“They been here for over 35yrs and I absolutely love their breakfast and food??and cleaness. I love them they are good, humble and wonderful human beings.great hospitality.aINFINITE BLESSINGS TO THEM ALWAYS ????????? I still remember coming there after school at the old ROBERTO CLEMENTE MIDDLE SCHOOL ON 5 & LUCERNE.THIS IS HISTORY IN OUR HOOD.❤️❤️❤️“
“No eating in but they're very fast and their food is delicious especially their breakfast entrees. There's an ATM inside that's probably the best thing in the whole facility that you can use the ATM unfetteredParking: Walk-in onlyWheelchair accessibility: Yes wheelchair accessible yes“
“This spot is quite perfect. The staff are magnificent with extraordinary relational abilities. Food generally comes out hot and they have quick assistance with all eat-in, get and conveyance. Additionally the costs are reasonable? . Incredible improvement over time.“
“Best food in town been open for more then 40 years great breakfast platters, lunch platters, cheesesteaks, cheeseburgers, hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, and more. Everything I had from here was good. And its a puerto rican owned business great place to get food all around.“
“Before the pandemic this corner store breakfast spot if the food was inexpensive and tasty. Recover from the pandemic the prices are outrageous and the food was okay not as good as it was before the fell upon us all.? Would I go back again maybe not so much. It was a lot of noise there was a lot of noise in the restaurant two meals and coffee was almost $30 I think that's a little but I should say everywhere you go“
“Leave your airs at home when visiting this Delco gem. This casual eatery is a favorite of mine. I love their breakfast and I love the fact that you can get Chinese food here as well. And the food is great and you won’t leave here hungry.I challenge you to find bigger pancakes anywhere in the Philadelphia area. If you’re a coffee lover, it’s always hot and fresh. It’s family run, and the love shows here.“
“There is a waitress there by the name of Jolie. She. Makes you feel very comfortable. Tony is a fantastic cook and the atmosphere is friendly and down to earth. I've gotten to be a regular. It's starts my morning off right eating at this diner.“
“I’ve intended to go to cowabunga which was an extension to turning point.I guess I got confused which way to go and end up sitting in for breakfast ?Since it was early part of the day and haven’t had my coffee or breakfast, I took a chance anywaysMenu looked good and hard to choose from.Ended up with the avocado bennyIt turned out delicious! Opted for a fruit cup than potatoes or saladMy son had the Daisy cakes. They’re just little pancakes with two sides of fruitsCoffee was goodStaff was attentive and nice making sure that we are enjoying the foodLaid back atmosphereI would take my whole family back here for an experience and good food“
“Nice comfortable eating area where you can use your electronical equipment to complete a task. Food is outstanding, and it comes with an owner who is a complete gentleman with a incomparable niché for cooking. Therefore, my belief is; if you can cook that well, then you should sell the food.Vegetarian options: Great selection. (Many options).“
“I LOVE this place. The owner is usually on site, friendly, and knowledgeable. Inventory here is always fresh, and delicious. Hands down, they have the BEST lunchmeats in the city. If you're looking for an ACTUAL deli, not a beer store, this is the place!!! If I could give a 6th star for the fact that if they're busy, they will take your phone number and call to let you know your order is ready, they would most definitely have a 6th star. They're serving up customer service at its finest!!!“
“I go there every weekend. One of the very few breakfast spots in Philly, on a very short list, that I would even suggest to anyone. And I LOVE breakfast. This is definitely one of my favorite spots. Some of the best French toast I’ve tasted and the service is excellent!Kid-friendliness: It is kid friendly.Parking: The street location makes parking difficult on a busy day.Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible.Dietary restrictions: They have alternate options if you don’t eat pork.“
“Great prices and more than generous portions on all of the classic breakfast and lunch food. Burgers are simply amazing, and they are huge! You can't beat breakfast as far as pricing and portions. This is a small place where people have been going for years and years. It ain't fancy, but it hits the mark every time.“
“Food was so flavorful, hot and tasty! service was great, staff was kind and very polite. The food was absolutely the best that I had in a long time.Kid-friendliness: the staff goes out of their way to make sure kids are comfortable, have something to eat and or play with.“
“I love this place friendly fast service reasonable prices every waitress and cookskes u feel at home. I wish they deliver. The best part is you can see your food being made and the place is coeanParking: All o can say is free!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access“
“Love this little neighborhood spot. Liz took our order and is a a total sweetheart-- and the world needs more people with her smile :) my partner loved his corn beef hash, the food was amazing, cooked perfectly, good home cooking with huge portions, and the prices are great. We will definitely eat here when we want a hearty homecooked breakfast again!“
“Why this place is missing a star it should be 5, these people are absolutely awesome I recommend everyone to eat here from the attitudes to food specially the register server she is 1000% awesome im serious and she did not pay me to write this I promise.“
“Where to start!!! I happened to be at Upper Darby HS this morning doing a favor and decided to see what Yelp recommended near me. There were the usual (Tank and Libby's....Sabrina's....Kettle....etc), but I'm a common guy by nature and wanted to get back to my corner, neighborhood diner roots. All these fancy places starting me to talking with a Main Line accent when I grew up in New Castle.... lol.... This place showed up, and although there weren't many reviews, they were all excellent. Plus, looking at the pics, this was the vibe I was looking for. Walked in and was greeted by Patty and Marla. Within 5 minutes, they made me feel like a regular, when I had never even been there before. I ordered a cup of coffee while I checked out the menu. I NEVER would've expected such a great cup of coffee from a corner spot. It was worthy of La Colombe. For breakfast I decided to have the 2XL egg mixed grill. This included...... get this..... two scrambled eggs (i added cheese), home fries (I added peppers and onions), two slices of thick slab bacon, two pieces of sausage, two slices of ham, and one piece of scrapple and toast on the side....... All this...... for only $11.95. While I was eating this hearty, delicious meal, in walks the owner, Jason. Young man is doing the damn thing. Owns this diner and the mechanics shop across the street. Very personable. So many of our young black men are out there doing positive things like this and you don't hear about it. I'll tell you this. I live 40 minutes from here but I will support and promise to have my a** in one of those chairs at least once a month.“
“Great place for a quick bite to eat. Very small on the inside. Food was quick and delicious. The staff was friendly. It is a cash only place so be prepared for that. Lots of regulars there talking like they’ve known each other for decades which is cool for a little corner spot like this. Very friendly.Vegetarian options: Hi oh can substitute for non meat itemsWheelchair accessibility: No access and very limited parking“
