“Our first experience at the Frontier Tavern at the Omni Bedford Springs. The food was excellent. We had the short rib and my wife had the hangar steak. Both dishes were prepared perfectly and the taste was great.
I want to express a very special shout out and thank you to two special servers. Our usual favorite, Emily, wasn’t working but she made sure we were taken care of by our extra special server Bethany. She was very attentive and made sure our dining experience was a special one since it was our anniversary. My wife and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We stopped here coming from Altoona on our way to MD. This is one of the best breakfast joints I have ever been to. Their southern fried steak breakfast with rye toast was off the charts!

“We loved getting to photograph a wedding at Omni Bedford Springs Resort over the weekend. There were gorgeous views both indoors and outside in ever direction.“

“Ate here in August 2026 on the way to the Lancaster area in Pennsylvania. It reminded me of Ponderosa Steakhouse. The dinners included the salad bar, or the salad bar was an add-on. There were a few hot items on the salad bar, such as soup and baked beans, but not like they used to have when we ate at one of these in 2009. There were a lot more hot items then. The salad bar and desserts were good though.

However, it was a little pricey. Dinners were mostly over $20, that included the salad bar. Other items, such as sandwiches could add on the salad bar, making it a little less. This stuck out to us the most when we visited the largest buffet in the USA, near Lancaster, PA. That had much more to choose from. The total bill for 2 adults was about $10 less there than what we paid at Hoss's. Why? Hoss's did not include the drink or tip. The buffet did include the drink and tip, and was still a little less than some of the dinners at Hoss's.

I still recommend Hoss's if you are up for a salad bar, and not close to the Lancaster area, as salad bars and buffets are becoming more rare these days.“
