“The staff and patrons were all amazing! I felt the brotherly love Philly and the grease was on the bag before I opened it; so that was a good sign! I got the Chicken Cheesesteak my friend got the beef. Meat was seasoned and cut up nicely; however, the onions were laid on top of the meat in the hoagie and not chopped up with the meat. I think chopping them up together makes a more cohesive hoagie. Would also like to add bell peppers and not just hot peppers. The bread was also a little thick and made the hoagie harder to bite and more chewy. I toasted the bread later and that helped make it easier to chew. The bathroom was a tiny room, but Im glad they had one and it was fully stocked with toilet paper. Super cute establishment.“

The rehearsal went so smoothly and the wedding coordinator really knows what she’s doing when it comes down to a ceremony. She even gave suggestions on how to stand, pose, and walk so that the pictures would turn out great.

We did the ceremony, photos, and reception here. It is a lovely venue inside and outside and tucked away from a busy area.“

They go above and beyond to make sure any event you have catered by them is a wonderful affair. We had my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah with them on 10/27/18 at Alvethorpe Manor/Abington Art Center and they made it amazing! They work with you to ensure that your event is what you envision it to be. Kate Winters in particular worked tirelessly to help us from the first meeting to the actual event. She was always available to answer questions and troubleshoot. I mean always. The woman does not sleep! Everyone raved about the food and the ambiance, as well as the professionalism and friendliness of the servers. We arranged for and enjoyed their backyard BBQ package and it was a big hit. Ribs, brisket, smoked catfish, corn, slaws, and so on were delicious. Above all, Herb himself helmed a team each of whom were outstanding in both service and professionalism. Lastly, the house and all areas were left spotless. “Venue: The Knowlton Mansion Philadelphia, PA. 10/10 This is a hidden gem. Affordable, unique, romantic, rustic, elegant. People continue to tell me how much they loved the venue and its details. I didn’t even want to tour the venue when my Mom first found it on Instagram. But shout out to my mom, she knew what she was talking about. It’s a Victorian mansion built in the 1800’s, originally owned by a Banker as his summer home and now converted into a wedding Venue. It has 2 stories with groom and bridal ‘suites’. A basement wine cellar with add on wine/scotch/beer tasting! 2 different ceremony locations on site- 1 indoor in the carriage house and 1 outdoor garden pergola. The food was great, there was plenty at cocktail hour and the dinners got great reviews from our guests. We had enough dessert to take home 8 trays of pastries that we shared with friends and family. My husband and I knew we wanted a unique venue, no golf course, or ballroom, and we absolutely found it at knowlton. My favorite part is that despite the reception space being added to the existing house it doesn’t feel like an addition at all. The characteristics and features of the house flow into the space. The house was plenty large enough for our 160 person wedding. They also offered a tasting (for an additional cost). The event manager Eileen answered every question I had from start to finish. Rebecca who does tours and day of coordination is absolutely amazing– from our tasting to rehearsal dinner to setting up centerpieces with me. She was a gem and I am so thankful for her. Our Bridal attendant Dee made sure I had food and drinks all night. Also a shout out to Bredenbecks, the bakery used by Conroy Catering. They worked with us to get exactly what we wanted. We still did a tasting but there was something lost in translation. We are NOT cake people and my husband was not budging on this. We love pie–so we did pie. We got one large cutting pie for us and mini pies of all different kinds and tarts for dessert. Everyone loved the hand held desserts and loved the fact that it wasn’t cake.“

“The Whitpain Tavern is my go to neighborhood bar and restaurant. Great food, friendly employees and some of the best cocktails out there. The bar has it's share of regulars and it is always fun to go in, have a drink and talk with everyone at the bar. Tina who works behind the bar during the day is one of the best bartenders out there. Friendly, attentive, remembers her customer's names and knows her craft. Pat and Alex the owners are hands on, there every day and take pride in their establishment. Two super nice people that get to know their customers. The Whitpain is like my Cheers and I look forward to my visits there each week.“

“Daniel Israel catered our Friday night Shabbat dinner; it was outstanding. 100% Glatt Kosher. We chose a vegan , Israeli style dinner, as many guests were vegan or vegetarian, plus it was June, and very hot outside. What a fabulous, tasty, fresh, and colorful meal. Daniel was a pleasure to work with, and always communicated immediately to all of our million requests. His staff were professional, timely, and all smiles. The set up was tasteful with flowers, some greenery, and no fuss details. I cannot recommend Daniel more highly; he made our simcha complete and worry free. We also had a lot of left-overs, which we divided between our children, and ate heartily for a week!!
