“I ordered my favorite Matcha with oat milk. Kennedi was at the counter and showed above and beyond customer service.

I was having such a challenging day and was met with more compassion and understanding than I was ready for. There was a consistent flow of customers both indoors and at the drive thru. From what I can tell there were 3 staff members present that I could tell. Kennedi gave a warm welcome, an honest smile of understanding and showered me with kindest despite how busy it was.

I had a some personal hardship going on and it must have shown all over my face.
Despite the rush of all the demands of a busy morning, Kennedi multi-tasked and supported me immediately. I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy.

Thank you for seeing me, Kennedi and being courageous enough to help someone you don’t know out and offer encouragement to them. You didn’t have to do that and you chose love.

You influenced a positive outcome for your generosity. I just want to give you your due credit and high praise for checking on me and for your words of encouragement throughout my time there.

“I have a subscription to their coffee roastery - I recieve a 5lb bag of Espresso Roast beans every 8 weeks to use in my at home espresso machine. Their beans have ruined all other coffee for myself and my wife - we can ONLY drink Backyard Beans coffee. It is the best coffee we have ever tasted. The worst part is - we live in Alabama so we can only ever order it for delivery!“

“Had the Spring Fling coffee today, IT WAS INCREDIBLE! Never have I had coffee like this. It was robust but mild, with hints of lavender, thyme and pink peppercorns. Absolutely a must have for those that go regularly. I live in NJ so sadly I won’t be here often and I’m sad about that.“

“My husband and I went to Meadowlark Bakery and Cafe this morning after learning that they hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for those who needed a place to go. We try to support places that support those in the community and do good. We’ve been there before for coffee and pastries, which are amazing, but we never had any other food. We have been missing out! We both got a breakfast sandwich and they were amazing! My biscuit was light and buttery, our eggs were perfectly fried, and both sandwiches had generous amounts of breakfast meat and came with tots. They had a wonderful Santa for the kids and a nice warm enclosed area for eating. Meadowlark, thank you for being a part of our community and helping those in need. It does not go unnoticed and we will absolutely be back to support you, your business, delicious food, and the good you are doing!“

“Spent the last few weeks trying coffee across the area based on IG profiles and word of mouth. This was my first stop. New owner is amazing. Greeted customers and spent time with them. Coffee was SO good. Ridic. What took me away was their breakfast sammie. Made with REAL eggs, their roll, so good and that sausage - wow. Will be back. Great intro to the area.“

“I’m a cortado snob and they always deliver perfection. Plus their croissants are the best of any coffee shop I’ve been to in this area, which I think is all of them. It’s strange to have to even make note of this, but especially when I’m in a coffee shop, I really prefer being able to talk to a real live person to place my order and not have to navigate a touchscreen. Chatting with the baristas is part of the enjoyment and reason for leaving your home. So another five stars for human interaction. 😅“

“I LOVE this market. they even stayed open a few minutes late for my boyfriend and I after I called saying we weren’t going to arrive until 4:58 on a saturday. like, THANK YOU. we had a delicious easy dinner with tasty beets, dolmas, pasta, and gigantes. “Just visited Uncle Bobbie's Coffee and Books and I'm highly upset that I live in VA and can't experience this place on a regular basis. I had a great time. the space is so warm and inviting. I love coffee and books and black spaces and I experienced all three. The staff was friendly' attentive, and helpful. My iced Chai and almond croissant were delicious. And I could have spent all day perusing the books and other merchandise. In the end I bought three books, three stickers, a bookmark, and a t-shirt. I'll definitely purchase more on the website. “Place has best bagels in the area by a mile. Only drawback is it's impossible to place a call ahead order. Either no one answers or you get strange prompts saying their line is busy even the phone doesn't even ring once. Really weird. So be prepared to wait on weekends.“

“This is a nice coffee shop. It has seating available both inside/outside, making it a good option to get some work done if you need. The staff was helpful with providing recommendations. We ordered iced white mochas with whipped cream. We like sweet coffee, so these were really good!“
