Food is just so delicious and it’s not that they rushed the food out. The cooks are just so great that they can handle everyone coming in. I’ve had to wait maybe 10 minutes on a Sunday because of church But I highly recommend it to people are so friendly there and like I said they’re fast and delicious. “I came in for Valentine's Day. I had just worked 9 hours and was wanting to treat myself. Now this was only my second time here and just like the first time - the woman at the counter (presumably the owner?), was the sweetest woman I've ever met. She is an absolute delight. I placed my order and stepped outside so I could have some fresh air for the day. I came back in and gave her a chocolate rose. She was estatic and so thrilled. Seeing her face light up truly melted my heart. I sat down to wait for my to-go order and she comes over with a little bowl if Thai Tea Ice Cream. mmm mmm good. It's so delicious and hits the spot. She then proceeds to pull a fresh rose from her vase and hands it to me. I honestly almost cried. The generosity here exceeds my expectations. The food is beyond amazing. It is perfect in every way. We are lucky enough to live nearby and frequent it often. The rare unanimous vote, when polling the family for eating out! There’s always something on the TV to entertain the kids. But once you pry your eyes off the TV, you realize you are in an idyllic diner; one you would be forgiven for erroneously believing only existed in an episode of Mr Rogers Neighborhood. Charming, understated, authentic. Food so good, and portions so large, that you endeavor to never leave a bite behind. Cozy enough to make you feel like the only customer, yet busy enough to never disappoint an avid people watcher. In all these ways unscathed by the enshittification that has subsumed both fast food chains and mom & pop diners alike in recent years. Sauce, leek soup, pasta, pizza, etc. One problem : kitchen closes early, at 9... we finished eating in time, then server got annoyed with us when all we wanted was another beer. Told us bar was closed also. Other times I've been there I was told to continue to order beer even after kitchen closed. Very uncomfortable. Only 9:00.“

“I placed a takeout order at the Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh) location on 3/29, around 5pm. I live in SE Virginia and my son’s father lives in Aspinwall, we were meeting 1/2 way in Maryland for spring break so I asked him if he’d pick up and take out order for me at the FC restaurant, and bring it with him and our son. (Nothing in my area compares to Aladdin’s!!). When I called, an amazing woman answered the phone, I asked ONLY if they could put the sauce on the side for my Shawarma so it wasn’t soggy 8 hours later when I’d be home to eat! Without second thought, she offered to make both of the Shawarma’s “deconstructed” with everything separate so I could “build” the wraps myself!! I also ordered the Dawali! When my ex handed me the bag and went to the cooler to get my food, I noticed what the crew had done…. They put everything in separate takeout containers and even wrote instructions on the Dawali container for me to heat, when I got home!! Everything was separate and the amount of extra time that was spent on the order was above and beyond!! It may seem simple, but for them to take the time and effort to make sure my food was just as good as it would have been if I ate in the store was really refreshing!! So THANK YOU to the Fox Chapel location for packing my order with such attention and my ex will be bringing a cooler with Shawarma’s and Diwali’s each time we meet in Maryland!!!“

“My son and I had dinner for Mother’s Day. Our first experience at this restaurant. Aside from a small miscommunication where the side dishes were delivered to the table alongside the apps, everything was very good. They corrected the sides and delivered fresh with the entrees, the sides were easily large enough to share amongst three or four people and the food was very good. The app, sides and entrees, as well as the gluten free chocolate cake were all delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant and plan to return.“

“Had dinner there Saturday first time. Treehugger burger and gearhead burger were very good as were the fries. Had risotto balls for appetizer, terrible. Risotto mushy and flavorless. Chef needs to add chicken stock, heavy cream and parm and not overcook. Coating was good and crisp. Will go back , but try meatballs instead!!“
