“I recommend this restaurant for any day of the week sometimes on Saturdays and Sundays. It gets a little bit busy but they take you so fast. Food is just so delicious and it’s not that they rushed the food out. The cooks are just so great that they can handle everyone coming in. I’ve had to wait maybe 10 minutes on a Sunday because of church But I highly recommend it to people are so friendly there and like I said they’re fast and delicious. Please try it you really will miss something if you don’t.“

Each component was prepared with precision. The fish was cooked to ideal temperature, tender, flaky, and deeply flavorful. The crab cake was exactly what a crab cake should be: minimal filler, generous lump crab meat, and a crisp, golden exterior.

For the entrée, the grouper with chorizo and cream sauce was another standout. The fish was cooked flawlessly, maintaining its delicate texture. While the sauce leaned more toward a light reduction than a true cream sauce, it still offered rich, smoky depth from the chorizo and complemented the grouper beautifully.

The clam chowder impressed as well, offering a classic, hearty flavor profile done with care and balance.

Dessert, however, was where the evening truly shined. The white chocolate macadamia nut mousse with Chambord chocolate ganache was the undeniable star—luxurious, smooth, and indulgent without being heavy. Each bite struck a perfect harmony between sweetness and texture. To accompany it, the pumpkin cheesecake latte was a seasonal delight. It was rich, aromatic, and beautifully presented. It is perfect in every way. We are lucky enough to live nearby and frequent it often. The rare unanimous vote, when polling the family for eating out! There’s always something on the TV to entertain the kids. But once you pry your eyes off the TV, you realize you are in an idyllic diner; one you would be forgiven for erroneously believing only existed in an episode of Mr Rogers Neighborhood. Charming, understated, authentic. Food so good, and portions so large, that you endeavor to never leave a bite behind. Cozy enough to make you feel like the only customer, yet busy enough to never disappoint an avid people watcher. In all these ways unscathed by the enshittification that has subsumed both fast food chains and mom & pop diners alike in recent years. “I placed a takeout order at the Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh) location on 3/29, around 5pm. I live in SE Virginia and my son’s father lives in Aspinwall, we were meeting 1/2 way in Maryland for spring break so I asked him if he’d pick up and take out order for me at the FC restaurant, and bring it with him and our son. (Nothing in my area compares to Aladdin’s!!). When I called, an amazing woman answered the phone, I asked ONLY if they could put the sauce on the side for my Shawarma so it wasn’t soggy 8 hours later when I’d be home to eat! Without second thought, she offered to make both of the Shawarma’s “deconstructed” with everything separate so I could “build” the wraps myself!! I also ordered the Dawali! When my ex handed me the bag and went to the cooler to get my food, I noticed what the crew had done…. They put everything in separate takeout containers and even wrote instructions on the Dawali container for me to heat, when I got home!! Everything was separate and the amount of extra time that was spent on the order was above and beyond!! It may seem simple, but for them to take the time and effort to make sure my food was just as good as it would have been if I ate in the store was really refreshing!! So THANK YOU to the Fox Chapel location for packing my order with such attention and my ex will be bringing a cooler with Shawarma’s and Diwali’s each time we meet in Maryland!!!“

The employees are very pleasant & when we get our delivery, everything is hot & fresh! The delivery drivers are wonderful, they always call just before pulling in because our call box to our building acts up, that way I can go down to meet them in my lobby. Our most recent order was a calzone, cheddar cheese balls and a buffalo chicken pizza...everything was delicious! The buffalo pizza had the perfect level of heat, the calzone had just the right amount of ricotta & the cheese balls are always on point!
