“Good food, nice ambiance, fair prices. Odd server experience in that we had eaten maybe 1/4 of our asparagus and without asking if we were done, server tried to take it away. Also, we were asked twice what our dining occasion was (someone in our party had clean cancer scans, others just moved cross country and started a new job, other was retiring - PLENTY to be celebrated) and it's extremely standard (in my experience) to receive a free dessert for this type of thing. We did not get this here. Pretty odd.... Also - carrot cake was extremely dense. Wouldn't order that again. Ahi tuna tempura was fire, though.“

“First visit and would likely go back to try more beers as they were quite tasty and drinkable. It was pretty busy considering it was a Sunday. We managed to get some seats at the bar but they were not comfortable bar seats. We sat some and stood more because they were not great. There was a food truck outside that we did not try and lots more seating outside but it was a little too cold for that. They have a single serve men’s room with a urinal and toilet and a multi-person women’s room with two stalls. Both paper towel dispensers in the women’s room were empty. No diaper changing areas that we saw.“

“I got Carnitas and my food was excellent! My wife's food was ok, but not exceptional. Service was poor, but not disastrous. Waitress was not attentive. Ran out of drinks TWICE. She was in the back of the restaurant where we could not get her attention. She was pleasant and nice, just unavailable when we needed her, and did not check back or show herself frequently enough. I had to send another waiter to get her one of the times we needed refills. The atmosphere was pleasant, and everything was neat and clean.“

“I have eaten there now 3 times, and every meal has been satisfying with ample portions. Their margaritas are good. We've had the spicy, mango all on the rocks and they didn't disappoint. They even run daily specials. We had a party of 7 so they added the gratuity to the bill. The service was exceptional so we even added $10. It is decorated cute and even has out door dining, plus wall to wall TV's with every sport on a different wall. I like the chili relleno but their refried beans and rice were pretty good too. My wife likes the street taco's combo.“

“Been here many times and I never walk away disappointed. For an appetizer I recommend the artichoke dip... fantastic. I enjoyed the crab cakes and found them to be very tasty . Sure, you'll get better when you're in the Baltimore area, but hey, we are in Pittsburgh! Service was so friendly and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. “We live in the area and have come here several times since finding it a couple years ago. Never disappointed! We've had steaks, burgers, chicken - always good. Tonight I tried the watermelon jicama salad, and it was delicious. They have a good variety of drinks, from beers on tap to specialty cocktails and of course the long list of whisk(e)ys. My one complaint is I learned tonight the chocolate crème brûlée is no longer on the menu. Seriously, one of the best desserts I've ever had - the chocolate raspberry torte was a very good second option, though.“

“Finally getting to writing reviews for the best few vendors from my August 2019 wedding. I am a little hesitant to post this since their Facebook page seems to have gone silent and reviews on other platforms indicate that management and menus may have changed in the last 6 months. But I was so pleased with my experience that it only seems fair to give credit where credit is due…. If you are looking for a rehearsal dinner location in Cranberry and have 30 guests or less, I highly recommend the private room at Ember and Vine in the lobby of the DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh-Cranberry. We researched every restaurant in the area and Ember and Vine at DoubleTree delivered a perfect solution. Their facilities are beautiful and modern, and the staff was so nice and accommodating. Although they can do traditional seated banquet-style meals, we wanted something distinctly different from our wedding dinner the following day. We chose to order off their regular restaurant menu and have them cordon off a portion of the lobby area next to the private room, where a buffet was placed with different flavors of wings, woodfired pizzas, salad, and their oh-so-yummy crispy brussels sprouts. Not only were they flexible with the setup and menu (accommodating multiple food allergies), they also provided the option to have a limited bar within the private room or have our guests use the full bar in the lobby. Having the private room but also the cordoned off lobby area gave us extra area to mingle and a great balance between private space and the fun energy and ambiance from the restaurant and bar. Our guests loved the food and had loads of fun! Other factors that made Ember and Vine a clear winner for us were: - They had a very low minimum spend. Other locations with private dining had a ridiculous minimum spend that would be difficult to meet with a 20-30 person guest list. - The large parking lot. We looked at other options closer to our venue and parking was limited. - Flexibility with timing. We gave them a general time frame for arrival, but not knowing how long the rehearsal would take, they told us just to call them when we were 20 minutes out. Thanks DoubleTree and Ember and Vine for a classy venue and excellent food that let my husband and me and our closest friends and family relax and have a great time before our big day!!“

“If there’s one thing I’ve noticed about the reviews for this restaurant is that many comments lack body, so I will try to cover everything I’ve noticed about this restaurant.For starters, the food is great if you’re looking for fast-food Chinese food. If you’re looking for authenticity or for high level Chinese food, then this is not your place. But if you’re hungry and want good quality fast food that isn’t burgers or something, Then this is a great choice. All the food has excellent flavor (I didn’t have desert though so idk about that, and the imitation crab in butter is weird) and the buffet area is clean. The one thing I will say about the buffet is that the labels are either in confusing areas or they don’t have labels for their food. The atmosphere is nice, it’s very quiet and relaxing. The place is run down but I would like for people to keep in mind that this place has been here a very long time and they are gratefully understaffed. They also don’t seem to bring in enough customers for a renovation. The place is still clean, just a little outdated. They literally have one lady running the dining room area and it seems like very few kitchen staff. The lady is very very nice and does a great job. Please have sympathy and compassion towards this restaurant. It’s not going to be 100% because they don’t have the money or staff to be 100%. ALSO it’s about 12$ a person as of right now, so you have an idea of price. Anyways, I really enjoyed eating here and definitely would again!“

“Good food but be aware it's stated that they close at 2pm but the kitchen closes at 1:30pm. That's not posted. We drove 50 minutes only to be turned away. Arrived at 1:40 well before the 2pm closing. They should post that with their hours.“

My husband and I made a reservation for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was mostly full with other customers. The seating hostess immediately seated us. Throughout our meal, our waitress spoke nicely to us, but her service was extremely slow. Here are our reviews for our foods: Bread loaf - 4.5 stars - This bread was for free. It was fresh and warm and tasted good. Bacon deviled eggs - 4.5 stars - My husband picked off some of the egg filling and peppers, but he enjoyed this appetizer very much. Grilled shrimp and strawberry salad - 4.5 stars - This entree was a large size and contained fresh shrimp, strawberries, mixed greens, goat cheese, jicama, pecans, and balsamic vinaigrette. Brunch burger - 4.5 stars - This burger was topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, fried egg, and bacon jam (no tomatoes at my husband's request). My husband said that the bacon was soggy and not crispy, so he picked it off. For his side, he chose tater tots, which were crispy and flavorful. Grain pilaf - 4 stars - This pilaf contained mostly vegetables and very little rice. It did taste good.“
