“We picked this place on a whim in our travels for the day. We were not disappointed. He had the country fried steak. They use sausage gravy on it instead of just white gravy and it was soooo good. I had the grilled chicken salad. Everything was super fresh. Everyone we talked to was awesome as well. We will definitely be back.“

“Stopped here during a bike ride on the trail. We had a delicious lunch! It is the most adorable place and we sat outside in the shade on the side patio. It was so relaxing and enjoyable! Definitely recommend even if you just drive there. But just wanted to point out that it is right on along the Butler/Freeport trail if you happen to be walking or biking.“

“Just went here with a friend for lunch and asked for a suggestion for a seafood dish. She recommended the dinner, House Special Seafood (they don’t have it in a lunch portion) That was fine, it gave me leftovers! Add a little spice on the side and it is a nice size portion. It was very good and I highly recommend it!“

“Went for the 1st time and it was Bingo night. We didn't play but had fun watching everyone that was playing have fun. We had a steak and cheese hoagie and a Chicago deep dish pizza. Both were excellent! The steak was really tender, the bread was perfectly crunchy. I haven't had a pizza in this region to compare to this one. We like Sicilian pizza, but this is on another level! The beers are from local breweries. Not sure about the wines. There are craft cocktails that sound real tasty too. The place is very clean, the staff very friendly. One drawback is a 1 toilet ladies room. We will be back for more, and taking friends to share our new find!“

“We were coming through and needed a lunch spot, saw Rachel's Roadhouse and went inside.Their wait time was great, not too hectic, not too slow, just perfect.The food was amazing. Just the right amount of seasoning on the Cajun Pasta (added chicken was absolutely perfect).The amount of food is double a big chain restaurant and is to die for. We all got left overs for later, all for a decent price too!Overall best place we could have picked.“

“The food is really good!!! We arrived on a meatball Monday and the beefy meatballs were rich moist and tender. The tomato sauce they served with-savory, neither too sweet or too salty, but rather just a perfect consistency and not overcooked...it had freshness to it. I wasn't even starving or anything. Just incredible awareness of what makes an excellent meatball and marinara sauce. The service was wonderful,friendly, attentive. They were so many items on the menu. The fries were served skin on and what I would call thin cut. The earthy flavors of the potato was preserved and the frying oil was very fresh resulting in a fry that rewarded you with that lingering crisp potatoe skin finish with no greasiness. These people clearly have a reputation to uphold. We had dessert, which I normally don't but again- someone in that kitchen cares alot about flavor and has a discriminate palette. Pecan Cream Pie. Didn't know what to think. It looked fluffy when it arrived, some kind of cream, pecan chunk mash-perhaps suspended together with agar or a gelatin.....I really liked it. Pies of this type can ofteb be cloying or overly sweet. Really superb way to finish off a meal. So impressive, the flavors were so good and I absolutely was not expecting this at all. Definitely stop and eat at this place.

“When I walked in, it reminded me of an old smokey bar. I don't believe smoking is allowed now. It is still kind of dim inside giving that old vibe. I ordered a fish sandwich and fries. Both items were delicious and cooked to perfection. I don't know about other items, but recommend the fish.“

“Never had a bad dish. The refried beans are great but I bet they're the good the first time they're cooked too. I don't understand why they cooked the beans so early in the day that by the time I got there, they needed to be refried. Maybe they should wait and cook the beans around 11am, then the people at lunch could just have beans and the people at dinner would only need them refried. Just a thought, I don't know.The Chipotle chickens pretty good too.“

“BEST BUFFETT! My husband and I have been to a lot of Chinese buffets, and this one is the BEST. It was a 45 minute ride from our home and worth every minute of it. There were so! many! options! Everything was hot and delicious! The staff was friendly and efficient! LOVED the stuffed shrimp. There was a lot of seafood to choose from and I tried it all. You can't go wrong eating here!“

“The only issue was the crowd inside the front door. All waiting for seating. The area is not large enough, so there is a lot of bumping into, being banged with baby carriers, elbows bumping, and knocking take home food out of your hands. And it's only Tuesday! Imagine it's worse Thur, Friday and Saturdays.“

“This was your average Thursday night in a small town Chilli's. After 8pm. The place is mostly empty. The cheerful and friendly bartender welcomed me to the place and her positive attitude was infectious.I ordered the 6oz sirloin with the loaded mashed. I ordered the steak medium and it was about 3 shades shy, but I have a fairly wide window for most meats, so I was fine with the final product.There was some banter at the bar and it sounded like there are some locals who gather here on the regular. Cool.It's good to know that those places still exist. I personally am too busy to become a 'local' at any particular establishment but I can appreciate the sentiment.“
