We were able to decorate and bring in outside caterers. Along with the selection of local beers on tap and fabulous wine, Kevin made a special barrel aged cocktail just for the occasion.“

The soup du jour, a spiced black bean soup, was out of this world. The fried pickles were the best fried pickle wedges I've ever had, with some terrific batter. The wings were good. The sauces were delicious, especially the spice golden BBQ sauce we had (golden goldenboy, I think). The only thing was they weren't crispy.

You also have to try those jello shots that Auntie makes which are very strong. “Their Sunday brunch is amazing! Food is delicious and they offer a great menu. I recommend pairing it with some fun drinks and great friends. They also serve awesome drinks like mudslides, banana monkey, or dirty monkey, and some good fruity drinks, do not hesitate to name your favorite, or don't be afraid to try something new. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Servers are always great and pleasant from my experiences as well! Street parking only but it's free. “Cash only joint! Smallish neighborhood gem. Looks unassuming from the outside but it's just perfect for the locals. No beers on draft and that's a little sad but the delicious food totally makes up for it. The bartenders/waitstaff are always friendly, attentive and funny. Since we moved to Mount Washington, we're pretty much slowly becoming regulars so there go our plans to lose weight this year ?“

Highland is a nice little hole in the wall that all the locals know and love. Not very big but bigger than it looks. It's only got one pool table and dart board, but we take turnes like good kids to use it. There a couple tables to sit and enjoy or sit at the bar and get funky with the bar. Lol it's a good time.“

“Dive bar vibe - Dark & Vintage. They're hot cheese balls were pretty good. They were not the best cheese curds that I have ever had, but they were decent. If you like your cheese curds extra cheesy, these are for you. We also got 2 burgers were which were extremely large, & cooked well done which wasn't very good. The fries were subpar and the chips were just plain generic ruffle chips -not made in house or anything. I would have loved another option to not have a side. This place was not super expensive which was cool but probably wouldn't come here again.“

“Absolutely enjoyed this bar! Their drinks were good and the night my friend and I went they plaued great music. Since it was snowy, there wasnt a large crowd, but we had fun regardless.

The bartender was friendly and gave us drink suggestions and made good talk. We watched sports on tv, talked, and overall had a good time. Bathrooms were clean, dancefloor is fun.

“Randy was our first class bartender and was knowledgeable polite &friendly PGH tortas was the food truck for the new fangs beer release and they provided a five star taco experience - duck carnitas, rabbit tinga, gator po boy, nopales and beef tongue. All juicy choices featuring the perfect combo of acid, fat& sweet heat.
The beers featured the marzen - best Oktoberfest of the year. We went home with some coffee porter &the scent of the head alone was transformative.

“Garvey's is a fantastic place nestled in Southside slopes.We stumbled upon when we were walking from the slopes to the flats. Bartender James was a lot of fun. They don't serve food but you can order in. I showed up with my whole football crew and we brought snacks and sandwiches. Felt just like tailgate! They have a fun bowling game in the back room. We also bought Garvey's Tshirts and hoodies. What a blast“

“I went to a show and some drunk kid kept spilling his drink on the floor. I literally watched one of the owners come up with a mop and wet floor sign. There's something to be said about venues keeping the general public safe while providing an optimal entertainment experience. I cannot wait to watch this venue flourish!“
