“Great local spot in the area. The staff is very friendly and the food came out fast. I got the Pittsburg burger which came with crispy fries and we also got pierogis and penne a la vodka. Def good picks, would like to try the rest of the menu!“
“We went here to get some apps and brews for a celebration and the place was amazing. Everything was wonderful. Catherine our sever made excellent drinks and couldn't have been kinder! The food was delicious and was an overall great experience!“
“Love, love, love this place! The question should be what don't I recommend and the answer is NOTHING! We stayed at the b&b so had the opportunity to have several breakfasts, plus we ate dinner here a couple evenings. Mark is a fabulous chef with a grasp of fun and tasty food combinations. Breakfasts offerings were from traditional to comfort to just plain fabulous. The dinner menu is compiled weekly by Mark and it makes you want to eat here several times in order to try the various dishes. On separate occasions we had a couple of the lemon cocktails, the fois Gras appetizer, curry soup, sea bass (phenomenal), lobster pasta, prosciutto flat bread, chop and both desserts. Everything was absolutely delicious! We needed a few more nights in order to sample more of the menu! I highly recommend eating here, and if possible on more than one occasion!“
“Definitely a roadhouse feel inside & out which is kinda the whole point. The chef never disappoints & service is always great whether they are busy or not. Saw a Led Zep cover band there over the summer, was a great time. Not your woke-type crowd in there which is fine by us “
“Neighborhood Bar in a secluded spot in Greentown.....while it does seem that everyone who comes in know one another, the staff wear shirts stating "there are no strangers here, only friends you haven't yet met" and we were certainly made to feel that way....staff is friendly and attentive......the menu is small and understand that it is bar food.....however it is definitely above average.....wings are very good and you can choose from many different sauces or dry rubs.....we have only had the cheesesteak hero here but it is what they are known for and you can order a half or whole and have different options including chicken or steak....I certainly recommend trying Mountainhouse Tavern.....you just might go in for dinner and extend your stay at the bar with new friends while listening to local bands.......“
