“Zmac's is a diamond in the rough. We were passing through the area, looking for a place to grab a drink and lunch. We came across Zmac's and decided to give it a shot. This place is a 10/10. The curb appeal is nice but doesn't give the venue the credit it deserves. Once you get through the door, you'll find a very spacious cozy inviting upbeat atmosphere and staff. Very inviting and the menu offers something for everyone. Kids menu, fried food all the way to comfort food dishes. Portions were very plentiful, packed full of flavor and at a drive thru price. We were both big eaters but ended up taking to go boxes. Kid and family friendly. Servers and bartenders were super friendly and although it was a packed house, made us feel like we were the only ones there. On top of all of that, the place was very clean, to include the bathroom. You could hit a box store but if you live near Zmac's or passing through the area, why would you? Zmac's is the spot. We will be back even though its a 40 minute trip. its worth it.“

“I would recommend the McKee tavern for many reasons. Great service, friendly crowd, great band, reasonable drink prices, a pool table, basically a fun place to get to know your neighbors, and just unwind without any drama. Thanks Mckee Tavern for a awesome Saturday night. I will definitely be back.“

“The Argonne Cafe in Hollidaysburg has excellent food and nice cold beer. I really enjoy their burgers and fish sandwiches and my wife loves their steamed mussels.“

“What a great night! Seven of us got together for Birthday and anniversary celebrating and had just a great night. As always the pizza was terrific and the chicken wings were spot on. Have always enjoyed this restaurant but never got a chance to post a heads up to everybody. When you want good food, Great service and very comfortable atmosphere, Check it out!!!“

“Overall, a great Altoona bar for mixed drinks, shots and bar food - clean bar top and attentive bartenders. If you don’t smoke this is not the bar for you. There’s a bar, the next door over that’s owned by the same owners that’s a great non-smoking option (Zach’s). Regardless of which, if a PA team is playing they’re showing it on several television angles within the bar. There’s an ATM, cash only cigarette machine, and several lottery machines at your disposal.“

“We just hosted my bridal shower here and it was fantastic! They did such a great job with the food and drinks and having it ready to go. We also loved and appreciated the sign they made going into the shower. The venue space is amazing and was perfect for our small and intimate get together but would be great for a larger group too!“

“Local "Dive Bar". Decent food. Most bartenders are great. The atmosphere depends on the day. Located near PSU Altoona campus so the students do frequent some nights. Most of the time, it's relatively chill, but there are some nights where there are nights and people getting rowdy. Usually on Karaoke nights from what I've picked up. They have trivia and bingo during the week, which I'd do again. Overall, not a terrible experience, but certainly room for improvement.“
