“I would like to highly commend my waitress Stephanie for her outstanding work ethic & excellent customer service!. I was at The Ridley House on Saturday night (May, 11) and even though she was very busy with other customers she took time to treat me like I was her only customer!. I never experienced that level of customer service before. I am disappointed that she does not work behind the bar anymore because I thought she was a great bartender and cared about her customers!. I will be coming back to the Ridley House and tell my family & friends to come also Thank you Sincerely Al Willis Jr.“

“Delicious!!! My friends and I were so excited to try Bar Jawn, especially since we’ve loved Pizza Jawn for a long time! The food and drinks were all fabulous - Bar Jawn has a chill, relaxed atmosphere but boasts an elevated bar menu that is so much more and so far beyond typical bar food! Some of our favorites were the drunken ravioli, the buffalo arancini (so inventive!!!), the chicken parm (make sure you get it with ravioli!), the mozzarella triangles (mozz sticks with an upgrade!) and the eggplant stack! So excited to come back as the menu changes and try even more awesome options! Thank you, Bar Jawn!“

“Illata has become our favorite Fitler Square restaurant, and we've been in the neighborhood for 22 years. It's a little gem, nestled on Gray's Ferry Ave just steps from South Street. The staff is extraordinarily pleasant and helpful, and the food is - in a word- exquisite. All delicious, all prepared beautifully, a very balanced menu of seafood, red meat and vegetarian options. Their desserts are divine!
But perhaps the most amazing, and extremely reasonable addition, to the menu is their sourdough bread- hearty and flavorful, with a perfect slightly chewy feel on the tongue. We've taken to order some to go!

“My family and I (5 of us) were visiting Philly this weekend and were looking for a nice brunch place. Continental Midtown was perfect. The food was amazing. I had the Chilaquiles. The flavor was pure yum. I ate every morsel on my plate. My wife loved her Eggs Benedict with Salmon. The eggs and sauce were perfectly cooked. The service was perfect. Our server, Sela, was so hospitable and sweet. She took our order and the food came out quickly as if it just came off the grill. Will certainly return the next time we are in Philly. Wish I took some photos of our food but we devoured it in no time.

“Best steakhouse in Philly! Great service (Brian), great atmosphere and most importantly, great food! Cool vibe. And although the place is busy the tables are separated enough that you can have a conversation with your table. Started with the escargot (wanted to save room for the rest of the meal). They were delicious, buttery and garlicky, just right. I had the ribeye, sliced, and my friend had the lamb chops. Both were the best I've had in Philly. For sides the hash browns and creamed spinach. Both winners. Oh, and the biscuits to start were awesome, probably even better than popeyes lol. They were super moist and I think layered a bit like a croissant. So many places serve dry biscuits and these were delicious. Baked Alaska for dessert. Very nice presentation. I liked it, but I'm just not really a Baked Alaska kind of guy. But if it's your thing you won't be disappointed. If you're craving a great steakhouse this is your place!“

“Ordered takeout and it was out of this world as always. When I called they were super busy and I let them know I will wait if Chef can accommodate and I provided my order. Let them know I’m right down the street and just need a 5 minute notice and they would call back when it wasn’t busy - they called me back in less than 30 minutes and said ready in 10 minutes. I love the fact that if they are too busy and can’t accommodate at that time they’re honest. It’s a small family business the Mom is the host and probably one of my favorites she is like old school south Philly meets Mother Theresa! The chef is a perfectionist and I always try at least one special and have never regretted it. I am utterly amazed each time at the dishes he comes up with. Overall price wise they cannot be beat, huge portions and every bite was heavenly. Where can you get this much fresh, delicious food for under $100 no where except New American Bistro. It’s also extremely rare to get take out and it be as good as served in the restaurant. The beet with pistachio encrusted goat cheese salad with raspberry dressing. This salad had it all! Everything was so fresh and crisp. There were so many bursts of flavor. This was a special hopefully it will be added to the menu. Rating: 5/5 Spicy crab chowder - we always order. It’s my husband’s favorite soup. Rating: 5/5 Blackened Scallops with Raviolis and Lobster Sauce - we always order. Appetizer size comes with 4 blackened scallops and a couple ravioli. Rating: 5/5 Maryland crab cake with Ravioli and pesto sauce. This was my first time trying and typically does not get pesto dishes. This had so much flavor and was refreshing if that makes any sense. Appetizer size comes with a very large crab cake and a couple ravioli. Rating: 5/5 Gnocchi's with Jumbo Lump Crabmeat and Gorgonzola Sauce- this is my absolute favorite dish. The Gorgonzola sauce you could drink. I dip the homemade bread in the sauce after. It’s my favorite. I’m a huge Gorgonzola fan I put it on everything. The Gorgonzola sauce on this particular dish I find to be mild and perfection. I just woke up thinking of this dish it is so unbelievably good. Rating: 5/5“

I do like that they have vegetarian options.“

“In town for work at Logan Township, New Jersey from Indianapolis. Was recommended this place based off the food and atmosphere. The food was delicious and atmosphere did not disappoint. “I traveled from Atlanta to Union Steaks, and it was worth it! Perfectly located by the Philadelphia United arena, the cheese steaks are among the best in the area. Soft bread, fresh peppers, and onions made every bite delightful. Bonus: the entire menu is Halal! The staff is friendly, and their cheese steak nachos are a must-try.
