She was very knowledgeable about the dishes we had and was great at answering questions and making recommendations. Laura was the hostess for the night. She was very friendly and professional. “Umami is a vibe! The artwork, music, and service come together to create an incredible atmosphere. I’ve been there twice for dinner and absolutely loved the takoyaki (fried octopus balls, they were perfectly cooked. The gyudon (beef rice bowl) was just okay, but the rayu cucumbers were delightful and had the perfect crunch! It’s a great spot for a date night, especially with their shareable plates. You should definitely make a reservation before going!“

“The Golden Gai in Bakery Square has a truly unique vibe—stylish, cozy, and welcoming from the moment we walked through the door. We enjoyed chatting with our wonderful bartender Liz, had the chance to talk with the chefs, and were especially impressed with our server, Hiroki. His thoughtful recommendations and clear passion for what the restaurant offers added so much to the experience.
The cocktails were outstanding—we tried the Ryujin and the Fu Dog, both beautifully crafted. We started with the gyoza, which were truly next level, followed by delicate Madai nigiri sushi. For our entrées, we chose the chashu fried rice and the grilled wagyu with potatoes—both excellent. To finish, the soy brownie dessert is an absolute must. We each ordered our own and were very glad we didn’t have to share.
The pacing of the meal was perfect, allowing us to savor every course without feeling rushed. Golden Gai is a hidden gem that I would highly recommend. And while you’re there, give yourself extra time to explore Bakery Square—it’s a vibrant spot with shops, outdoor spaces, and other great restaurants that make the whole experience even more special.“

“When we need something fast, at a great value and tasty, we had yo yhe Mall food court and get Sarku Japan’s chicken or shrimp cooked on the hibachi. You get a protein, vegetables and either steamed rice, fried rice or noodles for an extra charge.The service here is fast and friendly, the chefs work very fast and hard all day pumping out the delicious teriyaki chicken or shrimp. My wife asks dor mo sauce and they make here chicken separate on the hibachi.The quantity they give you is a lot and we never leave here hungry. They even will add extra chicken for an up charge, but unless you are very very hungry, it is not needed. They also do a small porion of just rice and chicken.We have been goung here for many years and it is a great place for fast, healthy, tasty and reasonable priced food for lunch or dinner.“

“It's at a food court in the mall so what can I say about the atmosphere? The price was right and the food was good. $13 for chicken teriyaki and a drink. The funny thing was that I went for Japanese food and the workers were 3 Hispanic guys who didn't know English very well. They did a good job.“

“Lots of seating but it was pretty empty inside. My guess is that they do more takeout business. This is a great spot for cheap and classic Chinese American dishes. Everything is greasy and delicious.

If you are a Panda Express fan, this is pretty much the best you can get in the area. The General Tso + Lo Mein were delicious. We have tried the orange chicken here before- not my favorite (it was flavorless). The portions are huge so it ended up being multiple meals. Each portion is around 2lb. Will definitely be back!“

You order and pay for your meal through your phone, but you can ask for a physical menu and to pay with cash if needed. The staff are wonderful, always smiling and are quite quick. Water pitcher is provided for the whole table instead of one single cup per person, and the boba tea is even better.

Came here with a friend on a Sunday, so free parking on the sidewalks. Easy to find and easy to get seating too. Definitely plan on coming back next time we are in town!“

The restaurant is always clean and cool, the staff are the friendliest and are so kind when they remember my friends and me and chat with us when we come in. And not to mention the food. To be completely honest, I could eat here every day. The ramen wu has become such a comfort and is always incredible anytime I go (which is pretty often). “Very well decorated, seems humble from the outside but once you step in you are greeted with great service and a genuine Asian atmosphere. They have all you can eat sushi here and many options to choose from including my favorite CHICKEN tempura roll! I was able to order some salmon, crunchy roll, spicy tuna roll.. and if you don’t want to do the sushi you can always have the chicken or steak hibachi which comes with a sort of honey bbq sauce on top of it. Both were very delicious. They honestly put a lot of protein in the sushi so if you’re a fan of the raw, go for it! The only thing was that in some fo the google images it appears to say the all you can eat is 23 dollars but it’s actually 29 which is still a pretty incredible deal for the amount they offer to you, but of course 23 would be better lol“

“I can't say enough good things about this location, the food is always hot, fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming, the women taking the orders and answering the phone are always nice and courteous. I've been ordering their food for 6 years now and I have never had 1 issue. I weekly get the general sto's and never get tired of it. Prices are very reasonable to. All in all this is hands down the best chinese in the pittsburgh area.“

“This is such a beautiful restaurant inside. Food was great, we shared some rolls and a couple of larger entrees which were all delicious. Make sure you get the fortune cookie dessert- so good! Cocktail list was a bit limited but lots of other beverages to pick from and the two we ordered were very good.“
