“I tried this place out on a whim for a lunch break and the food was great and I enjoyed what I ate. Normally I'm used to Mediterranean food being overcooked especially when it comes to chicken, but their chicken tender from the plate I ordered was really moist and the flavoring and seasoning was just right that I didn't need to sauce it out even though it was there on the side. Our server was really nice and attentive as well. The inside of the restaurant is really nice and enjoy the option to eat out at the balcony facing the lively intersection of Magnolia St and Trask Ave. Although the parking is probably hogged up by the car shop, you can find parking out on the north side of Magnolia St along the right side facing northbound. The point where the fire lane ends is not far from the restaurant and the walk to the restaurant is doable. If you're worried about battling the northbound traffic of Magnolia to get out of your car, you can drive a bit further and park in the nearby neighborhood. I got marked up pictures showing you where you can go. It'd be a five minute walk if you were to park in the neighborhood. I put up pictures marking out where this extra parking is. My suggestion is to come in from the South side going northbound of Magnolia St. or come in from the East side going westbound from Trask Ave.

But yeah to the folks that work out here in Garden Grove, you should give this place a try during your lunch break 💯. They got a lunch break special.“

“Our first time at Blue Olive was to celebrate a birthday and it didn't disappoint. The fusion of Mediterranean/Tunisian/Greek food was nothing short if spectacular. The service was incredibly friendly and gracious and the ambiance charming. We started with hot appetizers of roasted artichokes, pan fried Halloumi cheese, Spanakopita and an evening special hummus with spiced, minced lamb served with warm pita. All so delicious we were tempted to forego our main courses of moussaka, lamb kebab and delicious lemon/caper cod served over a bed of roasted root vegetable. Desserts, celebrated with a happy birthday candle on a scrumptious chocolate/hazelnut cake , walnut baklava and Turkish coffee made the evening complete. This BYOB gem is a culinary find and we will be going back soon.“

“We had dinner at Planchette yesterday in celebration of Father’s Day. In addition to my husband and myself, our daughter, son in law, and two adult grandsons shared the meal. The food was absolutely the best we’ve had in a very long time. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. The staff was wonderful too. Everyone knows it’s been very difficult getting and keeping staff since the pandemic hit. It’s a shame the folks that complained so bitterly about having to wait did not take this fact into consideration. We’d heartily recommend this restaurant for a fine dining experience.“

One of our meals was over-cooked and the manager caught it before they brought it out. He insisted the kitchen staff do it over correctly. He came and apologized to us directly, taking full responsibility. He made both our meals free. They were delicious and the service was great. We had the time, so it was a great experience. “After the Common show Friday March 15th, we decided to grab a bite at Chickie & Pete's. Unfortunately after that our #GirlsTrip went into a spiral. SOMEHOW a little over an hour after the server "MAGGIE" took possession of her Visa debit card, said card was used to make 2 online casino gambling transactions. The next day when the fraudulent transactions were discovered the 1st for $200, the 2nd for $100, she contacted her bank & they canceled her card. A major inconvenience especially when you use your card for automatic bill paying. I immediately contacted the Parx casino call center for information & I also placed a call to Chickie & Pete's. The casino told us to come in & file a report with security. I received a call back almost immediately from C&P's Asst. Gen Manager "Sue" & was told she'd look into it. When we arrived back to the casino, security refered her to the Bensalem, Pa PD & she made a criminal report with them. AGM Sue, a very dismissive & unapologetic woman, said she reviewed the camera footage and found no wrongdoing on her employee's part...case closed!! When I asked her if the card had ever left Maggie's hands, she snapped "I will NOT be interrogated by YOU"!! but did eventually confirm that NO ONE other than Maggie had had possession of the card. She then asked if my friend was sure she didn't make the transactions herself or give her card to someone or perhaps lose it? The problem with these half hearted attempts at dismissing us was #1....her card went immediately back into her wallet after Maggie returned it to her so no it was not lost, stolen or given to anyone. And #2... unlike myself, my friend is not a gambler & even if she were, why in the world would she be in an actual casino (which is where we remained after eating) when the theft was committed & use an online casino/gambling app? So NO, none of those scenarios makes much sense but I guess she had to come up with ANYTHING that might dispel responsibility away from herself, Maggie & C&Ps. OR perhaps Sue is just purposely naïve of how easy it is to obtain the CC#, CVV code & EXP date from a patrons card using perhaps a cell phone's camera to capture such info for later use. The fact that someone is careful enough to not get caught on camera committing the act, is just a testament to how good they've become at doing it. So if you decide to patronize this establishment, THINK TWICE before using your credit card and especially think twice before using your debit card!!“
