“I’ve walked by this spot so many times, and it seemed every time I was hungry they were closed (closed on weekends) but today I finally stepped in. I ordered 2 bánh mìs and a Vietnamese coffee. Pete, the owner/operator of the spot was the only one there and we instantly jumped into great conversation about the music scene in Philly back in the late 90s. We ended up knowing a lot of the same people. Philly is a tight knit group. So even before eating the food I was already a fan of this spot. Pete served me his special take on Vietnamese coffee while we talked and he made the sandwiches. The iced coffee was excellent, but different and less sweet than Vietnamese coffee I’ve had in the past. He also used ice cubes made of coffee which was an added bonus for a coffee junkie like myself. After we talked for nearly 20 min, I walked home with my sandwich and WOW! Such a solid bánh mì! I told him to make it like he would make it for himself (spicy) and he knocked it out of the park. I’ll be back and I’ll be bringing all my music friends here when they are in the neighborhood. I highly encourage Olde City residents as well as Philly locals to give this place a try!“

“I stopped by to look at their spring menu outside that was very eye catching! Walking in, everything was very nicely laid out and the entry space had a large mirror and cute graphics on the wall along with well-designed merchandise. Service was excellent in asking if I had questions and confirming ingredients.
I ended up getting an açai bowl with the blue blue blue base and a blkberry lemonade. Both were very delicious and and everything tasted incredibly fresh. A perfect place for a summer treat!“

By far the Tropical Island is the best smoothie EVER! It was like I was transported to a desert island in the middle of a hustling bustling market! THIS IS A MUST. I also managed to get 2 customers buy the Tropical Island Smoothie too!

My partner asked the lady what juice would give him some much needed energy as we had been driving for over 5 ½ hours. He took her recommendation without any hesitation.

He ordered the Hawaiian Passion (spinach, kale, pineapple with a wheatgrass shot).

All I’m going to say is it definitely worked because he was wizzing around all over the place!

“Honestly this place is like a gem of Philly, I started going to this spot in 2019 when I started working down the street and since then I've been faithful to them, I sometimes travel from norristown about 40 minutes just to get some smoothies for my wife and kids they sometimes are the ones that ask me to take them to get some. “Absolutely fantastic experience! The espresso martinis were some of the best I've had—perfectly balanced, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink.

I also ordered the Parmesan chicken wings with a side of hot sauce, and they were outstanding. The wings were incredibly juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and the Parmesan seasoning was packed with flavor. Dipping them in the hot sauce took them to another level. I'm a huge wing fan, and these are definitely some of the better wings I've had.

“The food was so delicious I went there twice for my weekend visit in Philly and got my partner food the second time. The cable was fresh. They had all my favs including bee pollen, goji berries and cacao. The lake ceased was excellent and so was the dressing. Food takes a moment but it’s worth it to get fresh delicious food. They offer banana options, fruity, chocolatey, peanut buttery, and add ons. The place smells great too. They also offer baked goods— but when I asked, she mentioned they contain egg. “Hands down one of the best places to go for a fresh fruit smoothie! You can choose from a variety of fruit options, and a nice variety of other special add-ins such as peanut butter and chia seeds. I appreciate that you can choose from several different smoothie "bases," including a low calorie blend, plain almond milk, or orange juice for something simpler and more natural. The portion sizes are really big which is always nice, you can carry one of their big 32 ounce drinks around with you all day long! They also have fresh chopped fruit bowls as well. The location doesn't really have full seating, but there are some small nooks you can sit in while you wait for them to make your drink, and they are actually quite comfortable. It is right in the middle of everything in Center City too, easy to stop by before or after work or while running errands. Only thing I don't like is that it isn't QUITE 100% vegan, as there are some items on offer which include honey, but it is at least very obvious and very easy to avoid.“

“Whenever I visit my family in Media, daily visits to KFT are a must!! I’ve been a faithful KFT customer since it has opened in Media. I’ve had many bubble teas from many different places and nothing has topped KFT yet. The milk teas are my go-to. The tea is always super strong and rich and the boba always fresh and cooked to perfection. Love that they’ve added Vietnamese food to the menu— especially the banh mi and now with an option for pate! Everything is a little on the pricey side, but that’s yet deterred me coming back again and again.

The only “negative” I have to share is that I think they need to improve how they prioritize orders, especially mobile orders. I’ve often had to wait quite a long time for mobile orders to be completed, whether for food or for drinks.

I’m not sure the manager’s name (assuming he’s the manager), but he is very nice and always seems to recognize me when I come in even when I’m only in maybe once a month or so.“
