“So. It's been quite awhile since my family and I have been to Anthony's in Malvern. I have to say that the more they renovate the worse the restaurant becomes. We took my dad there for his 76th birthday. There were 7 of us altogether. My wife kids and grandson arrived first at 5:15. It was not crowded-there were many tables available for seating. The hostess informed my wife that we could not be seated at a table until all of our guests were in the restaurant. We were a bit confused by this since we had never experienced this before at Anthony's or anywhere else. I told the hostess that my father was a minute out-nonetheless, we could not sit at a table until he arrived. Which was baffling due to the fact that there were at least 10 tables open and no wait. The funny thing is we did not ask to sit down-we were informed that we would not be seated until all guests had arrived. When we spoke to the owner after we bein seated-upon the arrival of our one missing guest-he informed us that this has always been the policy and the main reason is to keep the wait staff from having to come back to the table and explain the specials a second time to the late arrivals or have to take a second drink order. Honestly if my server can't take the time to do that-I will not be able to take the time to figure out what 20% is! After this baffling exchange no specials were explained, we were instructed they were written on the first page of the menu. Which is fine by me if I don't know what something is I'll ask. Now I would have been willing to let all this nonsense slide-we don't get a chance to dine out often-but-and this is the truly disappointing part to all of this. The food was not good. At all. In the past, before the place was remodeled-and they added a bar etc etc the food was magnificent. Our service at this visit was excellent minus the bumpy start but somewhere along the path of expansion and remodeling-the quality and quantity of food has been forgotten. It wasn't just myself who thought this either. There were 7 of us and 5 of our clan were not impressed with the food. Enough so that this will be our last trip to Anthony's of Malvern. It wasn't so much about the whole seating "policy". The facts are -we go out to eat on special occasions. Birthdays, anniversaries, we work hard so we deserve a night out, those types of occasions. I/we want to enjoy the food we order to celebrate those occasions. I ordered the raviolis with two meatballs topped with their pink sauce. The raviolis were overcooked, the meatballs tasted as if they were 1/2 bread crumbs and the pink sauce was bland and unsatisfying. We make the Irish version of pink sauce at home by combining 1/2 jar of Alfredo with a 1/2 jar of marinara. It's not great but it is certainly tastier than what I was served last night. As my wife and kids tell me I've lectured too long! Save yourself the hassle and trade in the Anthony's of Malvern for the Anthony's if Downingtown. In a society that puts so much emphasis on the outside beauty of things, the old adage is true. Beauty is only skin deep. Anthony's of Malvern may look spectacular, something on the inside needs mending. To put it nicely. I've only eaten at Olive Garden once or twice for a reason. It's not truly authentic Italian food. I would spend my money and eat there before sitting-not before all my companions arrive mind you- before dining at Anthony's again. They should be done with the seating policy as well as start a remodel on the quality of the food. As I stated in the beginning of this rant-we've eaten there for decades. We will visit the other Anthony's (Downingtown) when it's time to celebrate Italian style time. In the owner's defense-he did give my father a free piece of tiramisu for his birthday-even though he was late. Thanks“
“Gavin was an excellent server and made coming to Chickie’s a great time. The place was PACKED and the staff was stretched thin, but Gavin repeatedly checked in to make sure we were all good and was up front and transparent about a short wait for crabbie fries given the large crowd. Great employee who knows how to properly manage time and provide exceptional service. Give this man some more bread!“
“This was a special dinner, a nine year anniversary of a relationship and we had a lovely time. The food was excellent, the service, efficient and unobtrusive and the atmosphere was good. There was unobtrusive but agreeable music. It had a distinctive atmosphere for me, reminiscent almost of 30s movies and I would recommend it for a memorable evening. When we went it was obviously prom time at a local school. Being a former Brit, this is not an experience I ever had and it was nice to see the formality of the students.Kid-friendliness: This is likely not a place to expect crayons and paper mats to colour in, but well behaved kids seemed welcome. It is an grown up dining experience and if you are trying to socialise your children, this is a good place to come to.“
“Family of four. Food was excellent and the interior was very nicely decorate but a little noisy only because it was nicely crowded. We started with a strong Capital Cosmopolitan and Wedge with Blue Cheese and Smoked Bacon. It was odd bacon but good. Our mains were a Bone-In Ribeye 22 oz medium rare, a Sliced Filet Mignon with Cipollini Onions/ Wild Mushrooms/ Fig Essence, a Filet Mignon 10 oz medium well, and a Filet Mignon well done with Oscar All steaks were prepared exactly as ordered. The Oscar was so large we couldn't finish all the jumbo lump crab meat. Our sides were Roasted Wild Mushrooms, Creamed Spinach, and Sam's Mashed Potatoes. The mushrooms could've used more flavor. We had a bottle of Terrazas Altos Malbec red wine with our meal. For desert, we had Capital Grille Cheesecake and Flourless Chocolate Espresso Cake, and I still can't say which was more delicious. Our waiter, Farokh E, was excellent and made our experience perfect. Expensive but highly recommended.“
“Wow, the best cheese steak, mounds of steak, cooper sharp cheese and fried onions on choice of regular or seeded rolls. Seeded was a sourdough (but not too sour) made specially for them by Corropolese Italian bakery, amazing! Anna made us feel welcome as we walked in the door, top-notch customer service by all, thank you “
“I’ve had the best experience at Manje Caribbean. I’ve been a customer for awhile and they have not failed me once. I always order the ox tail platter and jerk wings. I can’t get enough! I always order the extra ox gravy and it makes the perfect cuisine!! I’d highly recommend this place for restaurants that serve Jamaican/Caribbean food. They’re the best around!!I’d highly recommend!!!“
“We had reserved a table for 16 for a 21st birthday dinner. They put us in a semi private room, although we were the only party. The service was great, food was hot and good. We went because of the gluten free menu and reviews and it didn't disappoint! Shout out to Brittany! Already booking another event for graduation.Dietary restrictions: Great selection of good gluten free food.“
“First time here with a small group. The restaurant had a positive vibe, the waitstaff were polite, service fast and efficient. The menu was appealing and interesting. I chose the Acapulco Fish Tacos with Mahi Mahi, mango, avocados, greens. They were absolutely delicious. I will be returning to try other amazing menu choices.“
“I have never been to Sedona, but it was highly recommended through Facebook friends. When I arrived, I love the atmosphere. It’s clean . I love the vibe. The waitress Adrian went above and beyond for everything. We had an issue with the food that we ordered, not realizing that it contains some things in it and we were able to eat, but they took very good care of us., Will definitely be back!“
“Nice place with a friendly staff. Love the atmosphere and the food was good. The location is both very convenient and inconvenient. It's right off of route 1, which makes finding it super easy. But getting out of the parking lot is not easy due to the traffic. Still, great place.Parking: Difficult to pull put of lot during daytime hours. Best to make a right turn out and turn around at the gas station, just to be safe“
“Really good dim sum. Not sure about other dishes. Online ordering is super easy. Space is cute, cozy and centrally located. Staff is friendly and helpful too. Only downside is the typical, terrible Phoenixville parking. If you go, will probs have to search for spot, but the food and staff make it worth it. I just wish that they had a pickup area out back or something. Will def be back.Parking: Terrible but not their fault. Could use a designated pick up spot or two.Kid-friendliness: Could be but it's rather tight.Wheelchair accessibility: Kind of accessible. Space is small and things are close.“
“The steak is fine. The sides are mediocre, veggies over cooked. The service is very slow. Our waitress was amazingly sweet, nice, and tries to be attentive but definitely empty drinks, waiting for more, too long between courses. It is very noisy which is fine because it’s a bar but the prices are more upscale dining prices so it’s a little strange. We had a nice time but I’m not sure it’s worth the money. Nothing was necessarily wrong but nothing was that great either to justify the price.“
“Nestled in the heart of Newtown Square, Teca offers a slice of Italian charm, reminiscent of a quaint trattoria tucked away in the rolling hills of Tuscany. This ristorante buzzes with the warmth of hospitality, where the clinking of glasses and the rich aromas of house-made pastas and Neapolitan pizzas blend to create a symphony of the senses. The wine list is a curated collection of Italian vintages, each bottle telling a story of vineyards bathed in Mediterranean sun. At Teca, every dish is a celebration of time-honored traditions and contemporary flair, a testament to the restaurateurs’ passion for exceptional culinary experiences. Whether it’s the delicate balance of flavors in their signature dishes or the attentive service that makes you feel like famiglia, Teca is not just a meal; it’s an invitation to indulge in la dolce vita.“
“I stumbled upon this spot while scouting for locations for a show based in Philly. I love seafood and was drawn as well to the stunning intact 50's diner this seafood market is housed in. It was the end of my scout day but detoured to Hill's none the less. So glad I did. Amazed to learn Hill's has been in this space since the 80's. They had an abundant selection of seafood and the staff behind the counter truly couldn't have been more helpful. I picked up a few things like the smoked trout and the ready to eat jumbo shrimp- did I mention the cocktail sauce? I've got to go back for a jar! Also took a prepared crab cake which just needed to be baked in the oven- pan works too-- and they were kind enough to give me a cooking instructions brochure. They've also got fresh baguettes and rolls. I just prepared the crab cake by baking the roll in the oven while baking the crab cake. I had some chili lime aoli which I topped with their cocktail sauce- with a glass of fine chardonnay-- what's not to love?? I will be back for the sushi grade ahi tuna! Thank you!! This place is the highlight of my Philly adventure! I need to add that I grew up near the Chesapeake Bay and know a good crab cake. This crab cake exceeded my expectations.“
“My husband and I celebrated his birthday at Dolce Zola. It didn’t disappoint! We enjoyed our pasta dishes. The sauces were delicious and the fresh pasta perfectly prepared. The Caesar salad had a bit too much dressing on it so next time we’ll ask for less. BYOB sealed the deal! We’ll be back!“
“I took my sons out to dinner on a randomMonday. Becky was our server. She was polite, warm and the MOST attentive waitress we have had since coming here. She made our experience so pleasant. She had refills before we asked, extra bread without being promoted and had our order down to the T!Ask for her at tie next visit! We certainly will!“
“Everything was great with our dining experience. I made a reservation for 12 (a work function dinner) and when we arrived, I asked the hostess if she could move us to a better location, which she gladly did. Everyone enjoyed the great service, the food and drinks.“
“Best sushi in town! The chef told us they import all fish from Japan and he was trained in Japan for nearly a decade. Rarely see a sushi chef take making sushi seriously in the area. Hope they will move back to their old but bigger place soon.“
“My coworkers and I absolutely LOVE this place! All of the food is delicious and the people who work there are always so nice, accommodating and welcoming! We drive past other Greek restaurants and will willingly follow the olive tree wherever they go!“
“Good food, good service and an amiable gathering place. I highly recommended the baked onion soup, it's very tasty with its decent serving size. The ChopHouse burger was cooked just right and the fish taco was very good. Our server was friendly and efficient. The prices were reasonable, and this is definitely a break from all the surrounding bar and grill places with wall-to-wall monitors that you encounter nowadays.“
“What a wonderful restaurant. We got reservations for a special occasion. The service was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was amazing. Each course in the tasting menu was wonderful. The pasta dish was one of the best I've ever had. I actually prefer this over Vedge as it's sometimes difficult to read the menu and foresee how it'll arrive. Tasting menu is a good value, no complaints at all there. Vibe was lively but not too loud. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. FYI you can BYOB your own wine for a $25 corkage fee. We had our favorite French wine. It was a good deal for us.“
“Went on a Sunday to get take out but they don't have take out on Sundays. Wound up buying some cooked lobster meat and top split rolls to make our own lobster roll sandwiches and potato salad. Lobster was cooked properly and tender. The potato salad was good. Service was prompt and friendly.“
“Want to start off with, nothing wrong with the food, it is just bland. So if you are a pocky eater, this is for you. Even my grandson was disappointed, his chicken Alfredo tasted just like bechmel sauce with nothing added to it. My fish and chips was nothing to write home about and the 2 other kids do not eat anything with flavor so they don’t know what food with taste , taste like. Now the salad bar is definitely worth a visit. Many choices and can make it your own. Then every drink my daughter tried ordering they were out of. Settled on a Gummi bear, expected a Gummi bear possibly on it as a decoration , nope. Service was great and everyone friendly.“
“We love having a freshly made fish dinner right here at Main Line Seafood Market- choose your fish, and how you'd like it cooked, along with any sides, such as broccoli, rice, potatoes, etc. Clean, delicious, and a great choice for a casual and relaxed and friendly atmosphere! And their soups are terrific!“
“So sad we didn’t try this place sooner!Happened to be here on a night they offered a tasting menu. Oysters were phenomenal. Lobster Neapolitan and ceviche were very fresh.Connecticut Lobster roll was pretty good, only I read it too quickly and didn’t realize it’s the hot version. I would have preferred the Maines lobster roll. Crème brûlée was good, wished the sugar was well- more caramelized. But hey! this is an oyster place.Come for the oysters!!“
“We have eaten at this location many times but I have never left a review before. However, we had such a great experience with management that I wanted to leave one! On the night we went a few weeks ago, it was pretty busy so our food took a bit longer than expected to come out. Our toddler was getting fussy and the manager, Tim, was so accommodating and gracious. He specifically came over to our table and made sure that the kitchen brought out some food for our child, that she had crayons in hand, and totally saved the day! It ended up being a lovely night and the food was delicious (as always.) We will continue coming back to Bonefish for the excellent food, drinks, and service!“
“Ok, I HAD to update my review, and remove one star from the five that I initially gave it. Why? Because I found a nearby clear winner in local lobster rolls that deserves a full star higher! (See my review of Cousins Lobster Roll Food truck that is an intermittent guest at the east side drive around Exton Mall. Sorry, Quincy's, but Cousins exactly duplicated the previous iteration of Quincy's with 100% claw meat ( you now add some non-claw) and a fatter, more generous portion of lobster ( I estimate an easy 25%+ more). Of course Quincy's is available 7 days a week ( remember the recent weekly delivery date of fresh lobster there is Tuesdays), and Cousins must be followed on Facebook to learn when they pop up in Exton.“
“The food was good. Well presented, well done but unfortunately, priced extremely high. I ordered 2 appetizers for dinner and it was more than enough. The menu is pretentious, filled with ingredients that I've never heard of so while it peeked my curiosity it also simultaneously squeezed my wallet. I can't justify an 80.00 20 oz bone in rib eye or market price crab cakes. There is a new chef and an updated menu, I just hope the chef doesn't price this place out of business.“
“Amazing products! I love the smoked olive oil, it makes the food taste incredible. They had a sample of roasted peppers in their smoke oil and it was delicious! I hate roasted peppers normally but with this olive oil I can’t get enough of it! Highly recommend!“
“My first visit to Chucky’s was a great one. Place is awesome. I met Susan working the front counter and she gave me the lowdown on all the products and even got to see my old neighbors from Manayunk food being sold there! Marchianos! She even let me have a little sample of the shrimp salad. Totally amazing. Go here before you go anywhere else for crab cakes, stocks pound cakes, marchianos breads and anything else they have. Amazing food and great people working there!“
“We went to slow hand on a very busy night when the bar and kitchen were backed up. Our server, Alex, (who is normally a bartender) was absolutely amazing. He was so personable, checked in on us often, and did anything he could do to help serve us more quickly. We ordered desserts to go, and we left a bit early since one of the desserts was taking a while. Alex chased us down to give us a gift card for the inconvenience. He is awesome and made what could have been a bad night a great one. We will definitely be back ?“
“My first time at the Exton Plaza Azteca and it did not disappoint. The service was great and so was the atmosphere. Our server was friendly and our drinks and food arrived quickly. I started with a house Margarita. Good flavor and I could taste the tequila. The table to order Ceviche was delicious. Very refreshing, nice flavor, good amount of fish, shrimp and avocado. The portion was huge. I had the rib eye tacos and the flavor was not for me. Maybe the smoke. I will be back and will try another entree on the menu. Nice ambiance too! Kudos to all!“
“Great place to eat! Service was great! They messed up my girlfriend’s meal but it was remade right then and there and they even threw in free desert to say that they were very sorry about the mix up. I will definitely be back here to eat again.“
“I’ve passed this place so many times and finally stopped and I’m glad we did. The food is amazing, the staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. Everything on the menu looks good and Diana helped suggest what to order. All of the food is extremely flavorful and aromatic. The wood ear mushroom & pepper sauce is very refreshing and is a nice palette cleanser, had some spicy cucumber added to it and it was fantastic. We were also recommended the fried pork belly with leek which has a nice sweet and slightly peppery spice. Lastly the family stew is incredible. It has beef, shrimp, fish, leek, chili, pretty much ever flavor you can imagine with a nice spicy oily broth, one of the most flavorful Chinese dishes I’ve had. We will definitely be coming back, there was not a single thing I could complain about.“
“I will start with “oh what a night”. All the 5 star ratings are spot on. Our server Jack was a love. He is sincere and patient. Jack answered all our questions regarding food selection and we took his suggestions. We were celebrating our grandson’s 18th birthday and was just the celebration we wanted for him. He actually suggested Joey Chops. He liked what he saw online and we went with it.Lollipop lamp chops had to be the best. Lobster dumplings, burrata, She crab soup and onion soup were starters. Main courseWas Westholme Wagu Teres Major,Wagu NY Strip and seared Tuna steaks. Sides also yummy. Then came desserts, amazing chocolate layer cake. profiteroles, and Crème brûlée were a perfect ending to an amazing dinner. Thank you Jack and Joey Chops. We will make this our go to restaurant. ??????“
