“Wick's is awesome! Their staff is always super friendly! I always bring coolers of food from Wicks with me to the Outer Banks when I vacation there for a week in a house rental. Wick's has almost every product available; from burgers, hot dogs, french fries, onion rings, chicken fingers (homemade right there on site), all things seafood, chicken patties, roast beef and gravy and mac and cheese right in the aluminum pans to cook them in, vegetables, almost everything imaginable. I highly recommend this place of business.“

We got the red beans and rice, gumbo and tomato soup and we need to try the rest of the menu! My husband and I just got back from New Orleans and my husband was sad because he loved the food so I googled and found this place! The gumbo was literally better than we had down there 😍 SO GOOD. And everyone working when I picked up (one was the owners daughter) were so passionate about how they make everything from scratch and kept giving me samples of everything and telling me their story. “The Reef Food & Steak is easily one of the best hidden gems on the East Coast. From the outside, sitting in a modest shopping plaza, you might think it’s just another neighborhood bar but step inside and it’s a completely different experience.

Please don’t let the outdated atmosphere keep you from experiencing this place. The service was terrific, and the food was even better. I ordered the fish hoagie and could only eat half; there were at least four pieces of fish on it, plus a side of potato salad. The potato salad wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t bad either.

My husband had the fried shrimp platter with six shrimp, coleslaw, and fries. He said it was delicious and only struggled to finish because the portion was so generous. Overall, I’m honestly upset it took me so long to try this spot. I drive by it at least three times a week!
