“Living in the neighborhood right behind this Bruster’s, we’ve had a lot of experience with the owner and her employees. We absolutely love the owner. She is so kind. Once, I mentioned how much I missed chocolate marshmallow ice cream online and she made it the next day! The ice cream is amazing and there are always a lot of varieties. The owner also gives out a lot of coupons as well. Five stars; highly recommend!“

“This location was recommended for a medical school reunion in Pittsburgh by our alumni association. The food was excellent and the portions very generous. We did the family style dining for a large group, and it was very well received. One of my Italian classmates sate the the Cacio e Pepe was the best that he had tasted outside of Milan. They have indoor seating and a big outdoor patio with plenty of seating. Pet friendly.

“I often work remotely from my laptop, and this shop has always been my go-to after moving to the Southside in 2020. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and the baristas are extra attentive and caring. I love this spot so much so that after two years of being a "regular" I started working here part time. As a customer turned employee, I can honestly say that being behind the counter is just as amazing as my experience from the other side of the bar. Lavinia puts so much heart into every detail and cares deeply about fostering a sense of community within the shop (for both employees and customers). I recommend Delanie's to everyone in hopes of it becoming their favorite spot too!“

Careful on how spicy you order the dish...it can get very spicy very quickly. This is a cash pay only restaurant, so be prepared for that.

Parking is tough...because it's Shadyside. If you go for an early dinner there is never any wait.

The soup du jour, a spiced black bean soup, was out of this world. The fried pickles were the best fried pickle wedges I've ever had, with some terrific batter. The wings were good. The sauces were delicious, especially the spice golden BBQ sauce we had (golden goldenboy, I think). The only thing was they weren't crispy.
