“What a special place to celebrate our anniversary! Not only was the food delicious and reasonably priced, we had wonderful service. We were surprised by a handmade anniversary card from the staff and a complimentary dessert. The Juniper Grill is definitely on our list to return to!“

“I have never eaten in restaurant at this location, so I can't speak to that experience, but as far as take out it is usually a decent experience. Carside pickup usually goes smoothly, although the text link next works so you have to call to let them know you arrive. The employees are usually very friendly when they bring it out. Picking up inside the restaurant is a hassle, as the pickup location is in a weird spot and when you stand there all of the employees ignore you so it takes forever to get your food. As far as the food goes it's almost always enjoyable, although sometimes we find the steaks are inedible due to tendons, and they often change the number of chicken tenders they put on the mac and cheese with honey pepper tenders, sometimes there's more than others. They frequently neglect to give me the extra sauces that I pay for, which is annoying. Still the best Applebee's in the area though.“

My husband and I travel all over the country, mainly seeking out destination restaurants and let me tell you the food here is on par with that of the some most prestigious places across the country. My husband said he would rate the ribeye in his top five EVER! Other dishes are creative and delicious as well. Very cool atmosphere, makes you forget you are in Washington while you are dining. I will mention service could have been much more polished to match the food and ambiance. The majority of our question about the dishes where met with an “I’m not sure” from our server. Not really acceptable to not know the menu frontward and backwards when trying to deliver a fine dining experience. However the quality of the food and cocktails helped us over look the lack luster service. So ecstatic that this restaurant is in our neighborhood. Blows away ANYTHING Pittsburgh has to offer! “Stumbled upon Albero Verde, when looking for a fine dining restaurant for our Anniversary that wasn't $50-100/ plate and was more accessible than downtown Pittsburgh....Albero Verde, did NOT disappoint. The owner and Chef, Anthony Pupo, introduced himself while delivering a small, unique tasting of a wonton with a twist. This small but mighty restaurant provided top notch service, an intimate dining experience, good music, the option of BYOB, and the FOOD was too die for. The wonderful waitress suggested that we split the Wedge salad, and I appreciated the suggestion as 1 was plenty for 2 people...but when she brought it out, they had plated it on 2 seperate plates for us, taking away the hassle of dividing the dish ourselves at the table. We then had the Octopus and Beans and Greens appetizers.... both delicious. For our main course, we had the Fran and Fudge (named after the Chef's grandparents) a HEALTHY sized bone in porkchop with brie and goat cheese pierogi and the Scallop and Langoustine Spaghetti... both excellent! For dessert we had the Pomegranate Semifreddo, a refreshing frozen yogurt and a mini chocolate cannoli. We will absolutely be back! Thank you, Chef, for a lovely and tasty evening.“

“Was here this past Saturday for a private gathering on the second floor. Did was very good, it was presented buffet style. Only negative I had was entrance was from the one side of the restaurant up a rather steep flight of stairs. I was curious what they did in the winter time to prevent people from slipping on the stairs and the rational of this as apposed to having a stairway from inside the restaurant. Other than that like I said the food was very good, full bar and the one waitress did a fantastic job.

Update, ate here last week for lunch and again tonight 9/19/24, I think this will be my new go to, closer to home and better menu and they are open till 11pm, the kitchen also closesat 11.“

“This was our first time here and the breakfast/lunch bar was open. it was phenominal. great quality of food, tons of choices in buffet style containers to keep it hot. Everything from made to order omlettes, waffles, sausage, salad, pot roast, mashed potatoes, tender breakfast potatoes. my husband said it was the best omlette he has ever had. he had the Irish Omlette. “I had a great experience at this place! Even though they have been busy on Sunday evening, stuff did an amazing job. I was greeted with a smile by the host and my server was very friendly. The food came out quickly and it looked and tasted really good, I enjoyed my sandwich. But the star of my experience - dessert. The bun was warm and very fresh and the ice cream was soft. On my last visit, I was most pleased with how the staff worked with a cranky guest at the table next to me. This man complained that the food was too cold and the plate was too hot and asked for the food to be sent back, but the server put him in his place with a sassy comeback. He then stormed out of the restaurant. The server didn’t seem too upset because both this man and his companion were annoying, the latter for talking on and on about unimportant topics such as her recent travels.“
