“Screpesi’s is a local treasure hidden on the corner of County -roads-less-traveled! I had been driving by this attractive building for 8 years before making a planned stop. The sign is too small to read easily as you drive by..even at the 25 mph speed limit. This told me that whatever was inside must be worth a visit and likely the small sandwich shop was frequented primarily by locals!
I was not disappointed! I was greeted with a smile and asked “hard or soft” reminding me of being asked “wtt or wit-out” in Phili. Anyway, meats are fresh, service is great and if you were to ask me, the hard crust is better!
Wife and I will continue to frequent Screpesi’s and explore their extensive menu.

“Ordered takeout. Great food, but please tell patrons up front that there is a surcharge for using a credit or debit card. When it was time to pay, the young man working the counter took my card and asked if I wanted to add a tip, which I happily said “Yes, add $5.00”. When I got my receipt from the credit card machine I noticed a $2.00 difference from the total at the front register. After asking him why, he pointed to a small, handwritten note taped on the front counter disclaiming the surcharge. Please, please have your folks mention this before taking their cards so patrons have the option.“

“I bought a ham turkey n cheese large sandwich. Which I cut in half ate one half. Had the other at a later time. It was delicious. Staff was a lovely lady who made it was awesome. Thank you for the great sandwich and experience. I will be back.“

“Exactly what I enjoy about a sandwich shop. Family owned, friendly service, great hoagies, old school atmosphere, etc... My two favorite items are "The Real Deal" hoagie and the Garlic Bread Cheesesteak.

“I called at 11:30am to ask about 3 sub catering boxes for lunch (36 sandwiches). Initially, they mentioned they could have it ready for 1pm. I let them know that unfortunately wouldn't work for our time-frame, thanked them, and hung up. Before I could even call another place to order, they called me right back and let me know that they can actually have it ready for 12:15! I placed my order and within 20 minutes (by 12pm) they called me back to let me know it was ready. The subs we got were delicious and every employee was so kind! Love that they have the option for gluten-free bread too. We will definitely be ordering from this location again. Thank you!!!

“Highly recommend. Third-generation family business. Friendly atmosphere. Menu selection. Price. Girl Scout cookies. My norm is grilled cheese with a smile (see picture) and either tomato soup or chili.“

I recommend the tomato soup and anything on a pretzel roll.

“Today I took the advice of the enthusiastic employee who was making the hoagies. He did a custom hoagie which isn’t on their menu but should be. A combination of their “ham on hard roll” and their famous “Italian”. Best I ever had! Along with blue bag Goods chips and an RC Cola. This is the Best in Berks, by far!

“This location is the only reason I'll even still eat Subway. I am very picky and they make the sandwich exactly how I ask, even if it may be annoying. I've even ordered them on Grubhub and can't ask for my mods on there but still comes pretty decent if not a little under toasted for my liking, but still warm and well wrapped. This is also the cleanest Subway I've ever been in, whoever owns it clearly takes pride in their place and has a wonderful staff. The fact it's so consistent even using delivery apps is very telling. I switched from Doordash to Grubhub JUST so I can choose this location.
I just had surgery and can't cook and have been living off this Subway in the meantime. Thank you so much to the staff for keeping me fed and for also being a safe place for me, I've never gotten sick eating here.
Highly appreciate this place and their consistency and dedication to cleanliness.

Kid-friendliness: My kid is picky and only gets a BLT (no LT or mayo lol) and triple toasted. They sometimes send the lettuce and tomatoes seperately in case they think I ordered it wrong LOL but I appreciate them NOT putting it on the sandwich anyway like other places do.“

“My father and I were desperate for food Christmas Eve and we couldn’t find any place still open. We called the Subway in Elverson PA to ask if they’d be open and the individual who answered said that even though we wouldn’t get there until a few minutes after they closed, he would keep the shop open a few extra minutes for us. He also let us order ahead so it would be ready for when we got there. We showed up 5 minutes past close on Christmas Eve and he let us in and had all of our food ready to go. We were able to pay and head out in less than five minutes. His name was Harry and he was AWESOME. So, not only was that an example of EXCEPTIONAL customer service, but the food was also great. The staff at this subway was able to get my order of veggie foot long ,I had opted to toast the bread, and it was perfectly done. I also ordered some churros and chips.
