“My family and I had an incredible dining experience tonight at Umai. We had a special, Kinmedai aka Golden Eye Snapper that was so fresh and tasty, out of this world good! We also had a treat with broiled tuna cheek that was also outstanding. Otoro was so velvety and rich, spicy hotate, sweet ebi, unagi, fried crabs, incredible sushi rolls, savory Akadashi (my son ordered a second it was so good) and everything else we ordered tonight was just incredible. Thanks so much to Rae and his wonderful staff for one of the best meals I've ever had - the best sushi in this area for sure and such friendly excellent service to accompany it! 🙂 Thanks for such wonderful hospitality and all the extra goodies Rae. Not very crowded, service was fast, the sashimi and tempura was fresh and delicious. Friendly staff. Overall calm atmosphere. All the seating are booths fit for 4 people, so keep this in mind for larger parties.“

“We tried Kungfu Sushi for the first time today. We stumbled on it by accident as it is located in an unassuming strip mall. We sampled several items including the Gyoza, Crab Rangoon, and assorted rolls -Ring of Fire, Crazy Monkey, Crabmeat Lover, Mango, Rainbow, and Dragon. Everything was freshly made and delicious! The service was quick and the servers were attentive. We would highly recommend Kungfu Sushi and we will be back!“

The food is excellent, sushi is superb with super fresh fish, portions are generous, prices are very reasonable, and the service is outstanding (ask for Chloe, she'll take good care of you). Don't be fooled if you find the place with only a few patrons. It's a hidden gem. The restaurant may not be elegant but you won’t be disappointed with the food quality, pricing, service, and cleanliness of the place. Never a wait either. Highly recommended!“

“Edit - Within less than an hour of posting my review, I received a prompt call from the restaurant to apologize explaining they saw my review and looked into what could’ve happened. They had found there was a crack in one of their lids and have fixed the issue. I am very happy with how quickly they looked into this and reached out. As such, I’m editing my review and can say this was likely just an accident and not indicative of the overall quality of the restaurant.Been coming here for years and the food is generally good. That said, we found a shard of hard glass or plastic in our food (spicy tuna roll) which my wife bit down on. Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be coming back. Giving two stars just based on the previous good experiences…“
