“Ended up spending the night in Scranton to avoid the terrible weather/snow along the route to NH. Thought we'd give this place a try for lunch. Amazing! The food was all fresh and hot. Serving sizes definitely leave extra for late night snacks. I would 100% be back for more if I lived in the area. I got the eggplant Parmesan and soup. Cooked perfectly. (Hard to do with eggplant) Husband got the sausage alfredo and soup. The free bread was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. I can not praise this place enough. Our server was attentive and sweet as southern tea. I'm sorry I don't remember her name. She worked 4/4 lunch shift :) The ambience was pleasant. And the beer wasn't skunked! All around 5⭐. Highly recommend!“

“I like trying new breakfast places, so found this place and stopped in on a whim. The owner was friendly, the place had a great atmosphere, and the food was great! It does have a Mexican vibe to it, but don't let that fool ya! Can't wait to come back for dinner. P.S. ask about their secret menu!“

“The food is always delicious. Their gluten free options and regular ones are equally great! I love it being celiac that I know the food not only tastes great but also is safe for me to eat. My non celiac family also really loves it every time we get food from here.“

“Fresh homemade pasta and sauces with the touch of Italy. Very clean, friendly, upbeat atmosphere. Great takeout or dine in service. A wide variety of homemade pasta and sauces to choose from. They just added pizza to their menu and it is spectacular. We started with a margarita pizza which was anmazing! For our main entrées we had Alle Vongole, Al Gamberi and Frutti di Mare. Our number one favorite is the Al Gamberi but all dishes are fantastic. Reservations are highly suggested for the weekend. There is nothing else like this place in our area. A must for Italian food lovers!“

“I ordered a pizza that was on the special and when I got home I quickly realized I had the wrong pizza, so I brought it back. The receptionist told me they would deliver it to my house so I didn’t have to wait. Literally less than 10 minutes later the receptionist who took my order was the one who hand delivered my order to me at my house! I love supporting small businesses with delicious food and customer service that goes above and beyond. Sacco’s Pizzeria is doing a fantastic job, and I can’t wait to place another order! -thank you“

“The family is super nice and down to earth. The Italian dishes are so good. Another awesome family owned business in the 18704. When it's nice out, they have outdoor dining. As you eat outside you can enjoy the beautiful mural that's located across the street at Amy Bezek Photography's studio and art gallery.“

“Chose Grico's for a special occasion this weekend. The staff, especially Matt our server, is amazing and the food was just delicious. Clams in butter garlic appetizer, house made creamy Bleu cheese dressing, and lump crab casserole is very highly recommended. Great chef. Looking forward to coming back....“

“If your looking for a classic but delicious Italian Restaurant look no further. The atmosphere is classy yet homey at the same time. I haven't had a better chicken Alfredo. I've had bad experiences in the food department at some other well known Italian restaurants in the best and so Anthony's surprised me in a good way. Made me love Italian food again. If you want Italian food you can ensure will be delicious and fresh, I'd highly suggest this restaurant.“

“We stopped in about 7:30 for dinner and it was fabulous. The service was excellent despite the lateish hour and the food was fantastic. We had pumpkin ravioli to die for as an appetizer and I had chicken parm that was so tender and flavorful. My side of vodka linguini is a new favorite! So good! Hubby's chicken strips and penne was also great. I also recommend their strawberry salad. Always a great place to eat!“

“Illiano's is by far the best restaurant in the valley. There's something for everyone on the menu. Order the sicilian marinara pizza...thick crust, fresh tomatoes, garlic and plenty of cheese. If you're not happy, it's on you. It's definitely not the food“

“We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Pronto! I started with a chocolate martini which was delicious! I got the chicken Pronto, my husband got chicken Dijon, my friend got veal marsala, and the fourth person got fish. All four of us enjoyed our meals very much! That doesn't happen very often! The food came out in just the right amount of time and they were quick to refill what we needed and cleared our dishes promptly. We will definitely be back!“

“We had a surprise dinner for my parents 50th. There were about 25 of us. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious! The atmosphere was relaxed. They also catered a party we had last summer and the experience was the same. Friendly and accommodating! I would highly recommend The High Bridge House!“

“Classical Italian dishes never a disappointment in all of my trips here. Have been both with small group and large group functions. The antipasto combinations have a variety to suit any palate. The pizza is a pleasant departure away from chain restaraunts. The warm fresh Italian bread is a must.“

“I was first introduced to this food at Toyota of Scranton-loved my salad! This time, I ordered lunch for a group at the Ash St location, and it could not have been more perfect! Joe not only accommodated me on short notice-he knocked it out of the park. He included something delicious (soup, salad, panninis!) for everyone at a really reasonable price-with great presentation. He took care to wrap things well so they wouldn’t spill while I traveled. Additionally, the cashier was friendly and efficient! Will 100% be coming here again!“

“An older property that appears to have been around for 50+ years but very clean (spotless). We stopped for lunch on the way to visit a relative. The food is excellent and the sauce is the best I ever tasted. When I travel again to the area this will definitely be a stop for lunch or dinner!“
“Finally got around to trying both their square and round pizza since it's only $10 for a 16-in. The round has very thin crust which I personally like. I'm not a pizza professor so I can't tell you what kind of cheese or whatever may have gone into the ingredients to give you an idea of what the outcome is but I thought it was good. The slices are definitely not as hefty as you would find at maybe Napoli's or in the Wilkes-Barre area Nello's to give an idea. But for $10 I would not pass this up. As for the square variety again not a pizza professor but it's comparable to most everything else around here. I would say at least in the square tray that I got the crust seemed a little too hard for my liking. But again no joke for a full tray for $10.“

“We had a fabulous dining experience! The chicken parmesan was "chef's kiss" with the perfect amount of sauce and pasta. The chicken was moist and tender. The ravioli was classical italian with a perfect red sauce. The atmosphere was busy, with a lot of people coming and going and the wait staff negotiating between them, but it was a Saturday night. The waitress, Desiree, was pleasant and efficient, and checked up on us often, which was appreciated. Solid 5 out of 5. We will return!“

“Let me say this up front: We went for pizza at the Fort Cafe in Forty Fort and left disappointed. Not because the pizza was bad. Quite the contrary. The 8-cut, Old Forge-style pizza was very tasty, with a baked crust topped with a balanced amount of tangy sauce, chunks of tomato, and cheese. It certainly wasn’t because of the staff. Our server was extremely friendly and delightful, making us feel right at home within 10 seconds with her glowing, warm smile. The reason for our dismay stems from the fact that we didn’t ignore our hankering for pizza and missed out on what appeared to be some amazing dishes. We arrived fairly late on a Friday evening at around 7:40, and were perplexed that – although the restaurant closes at 9 p.m. – we may have missed being served a meal because we arrived after 7:15. Really? All we wanted was to sit, eat some pizza, and leave. However, we completely misjudged our expectations. We were fortunate enough to get a table anyway, and after looking at the menu, realized that Fort Cafe is no mere pizza parlor with an attached bar. Selections such as chicken or veal saltimbocca, scallops, shrimp vodka, baked gnocchi, and other dishes looked exquisitely enticing. Combine that with some wine, and one has an enjoyable experience.Chef Jeff Piazza, who was once the co-owner of fine dining restaurant Gelpiaz in Kingston (now Kevin’s) and the nearby Whitehouse Diner, is at the helm of this tiny, unassuming eatery. He brings with him years of experience, and I’m very much looking forward to returning. Our table afforded me the advantage of peeking into the kitchen, where I was able to see him toss food in a pan over large flames. After glancing at what was eventually being brought out to patrons, I was envious. The meals looked very appealing, and here I was slumming it with only pizza. From what I’ve been told, since the menu consistently changes, checking Facebook for daily posts is recommended. Although the dining room is simple and small, with the tables being very closely arranged, one does not feel cramped. The small venue makes for a comfortable, friendly neighborhood vibe.So check Facebook, make a reservation, and eat delicious pizza only if you must. But I feel I must warn you that you’ll likely miss out on a very splendid dining opportunity if you do.“

“Wow our first and surely NOT our last visit. From the time we walked in, we were greeted by Cathy our server who was very pleasant and asked if this was our first time visiting...so we advised yes. From start to finish the food and service was as if we were back in New York or even better back in Italy. Even Angelo the owner came out of the kitchen to introduce himself to us and sat and had a very nice conversation with us - ironically a small world coming from New York and Stroudsburg area as well as us. We started with the fried calamari and it was excellent. Dinner came with a choice of soup or salad...we choose the soups--both homemade and made to perfection. We ordered the chicken/eggplant combo with broccoli and the homemade ricotta gnocchi-both again were as if we were eating back in New York or in Italy. If you want a great, cozy, family restaurant then this hiding GEM a is definitely the place you would want to visit. We really can't thank Angelo and Kathy enough.....we will be back real soon for sure.“

“The tartufo pizza was extraordinary. Delectable crust and a filling of mushrooms and ricotta with just the perfect sprinkling of truffle oil. Can't get better in Italy. “My husband and I went here on Valentine’s Day for the first time and we were absolutely blown away. The service was attentive and fast, food came out perfectly timed (and hot), presentation was excellent. We each had several yummy cocktails (I recommend the Honey, I Do), shared the clams appetizer, and had the Sole Special and the steak and lobster tail special for dinner. I worked in the restaurant industry in fine dining for many years and am usually so disappointed in restaurant experiences that we have mostly stopped going out to eat. Not anymore. We will be back again and again. Thank you for a lovely meal.“
“I've lived around the corner for a year, but never tried their place 'til last night. Got a pizza for my upstairs neighbor and myself to split. It's unique, and for 5$, you can't beat it. She and I (mostly me) almost ate the whole 12 cuts too!“

“I can only tell you about my experience at the bar because I've never sat at a table for dinner. Food is excellent. I had chicken Parm last night which was fantastic. The red sauce is delicious. Not too sweet like some places. Bartender is awesome. Very attentive. Good selection or top shelf bourbon and nice wines. On the downside, it's expensive, and during the week it's pretty dead. Most definitely go there for the food not the bar experience.“

“My husband and I had a delicious meal last evening. Our server, Dana was fantastic, she was very well appraised on the menu and answered all questions that we asked. I ordered Veal Scallopini, the veal was so tender, and my husband had Mediterranean Haddock, both dishes were a taste treat. A basket of bread came out promptly and I must say the sesame bread sticks were awesome. We chose salad as one of our two choices of sides and it was served cold and crisp. Can't say enough about our dining experience here at the Gramercy.“

“Good food, service and price. Our carry out phone order was professionally taken by someone that knew the menu and asked the right questions. Our order was ready for pick up in twenty-five minutes. It was hot and securely packaged. Highly recommend the Chicken Franchaise, served with soup, veggie and potato. At $20.00 it is very special. Will order again.“
