“I went to The Coffee Station again for breakfast on Sunday and had a great experience. The food was good, but what really stood out was our waitress, Denise. She’s like an old-time waitress in the best way—friendly, attentive, and she makes you feel truly appreciated. She goes above and beyond and makes the whole place feel like home. I don’t go out very often these days because of the economy, but I make it a priority to come here when Denise is working. She turns an ordinary meal into an experience worth going out for.“

“Dined in for breakfast on a Friday morning with a large group. Even then, we were able to all seat together by combining nearly all the tables in the space for ourselves. If there were any more people eating in, we would have definitely had to split up, as the seating space is relatively small.

We were able to order and get our food quickly! The space has a nice fun vibe, and there's nice energetic music playing the background on an early morning. One of my pet peeves are places where the music doesn't match the mood of the weather, time of day, or type of restaurant. But they were on point here! 

All the food was fantastic. I ordered the nasi uduk--breakfast rice platter-- and a pistachio latte. One of the people in our group recently came back from a year in Indonesia and he attested to the legitimacy of the food we ate. I don't normally do well with spicy, but I ended up downing all the sambal on this plate-- delicious!“

“Today I stopped at The Hungry A. I have driven buy there many times. As I walked in the owners and people in there all greeted me like they know me. I had a coffee and it was one of the best I ever had. The breakfast sandwich was delicious. I will be be back. But what really got to me I walk with a cane and one of the girls there saw I was having a hard time she came around the counter and took what I was carrying and helped me to my car. Today there are not many people that are kind as she was. It made me know that there is still kind people in this world. If every would take the time to be kind to someone just once maybe it could be a start to make this world just a little better“

“I read all the positive reviews and had to check it out for myself. I have always found it difficult to find something as simple as a good breakfast place. But this time i found it! The second I walked in, I was impressed. The hostess greeted me immediately and with a smile. I asked if I should order now and she smiled and explained that she'd take my order and she'll bring it to me. It was very pleasant. The store itself is clean and bright. I ordered two eggs medium, sausage patties,home fries with peppers and onions, rye toast with a little butter and a medium coffee. Everything was made exactly as I ordered it. The portions were generous and the coffee was great. Thirteen bucks for all that. Perfect. I'll be back.“

“Went in first time today, 3/7/26. Clean, friendly staff. Fast table service. Home fries w/onions well worth value, as well as coffee prices. Really enjoyed eggs, cheese, sausage on long roll. “Found this place about a month ago, and realized it is my local walk to spot! And they've been around for over 30 years! Could not be happier! Been there twice so far, quick and friendly service. The food, simply amazing! I like grits, but often they're either too runny or too thick...finding those perfect goldilock grits is difficult... Train stops grits are just right! Truly the Goldilocks of grits! Awesome place all around, I highly recommend and will definitely be back soon.“

“My daughter and I used to eat at Maman. My daughter is 8. However, Maman drove us out of their restaurant with low quality service and a harassment in us being there for just one hour during our meal. Then we found Nudy's cafe. What's different.... food is better, service is better, cost is lower, and overall atmosphere is way better. Each one of the waiters and waitresses can only be described as outstanding. Nobody pushed us to leave after finishing our meal. My wife has a medical obligation and this is a welcoming place for me and my little girl to hang out while we wait for that to be over. Maman would have threatened us to leave with their Supreme leader ideology. Nudy's makes us feel at home. So if you want higher priced lower quality food with poor service, go to maman. If you want, quality service, polite and outstanding employees, top notch food, and a relaxed environment....go to Nudy's.“

“These guys are one of the best delis around, consistent products, friendly service, and tasty food for low prices. It doesn't get better than this. I have bought over 100 sandwiches from them and they are more consistent than any fast food place. It's delicious every time.“

“My fiancé & I have been coming here for years and we both think it’s hands down the best breakfast spot in Delaware Country. It’s just such a family friendly vibe. The service is so friendly and warm and always so quick. After years coming here, I’ve never had a single complaint. Foods great, staff is great, I’d recommend this place 100000x to anyone looking for a breakfast spot in this area. As for food (everything’s good) but the Huevos rancheros is literally the best thing i’ve ever had. Same with the Eggs Benedict (and i’m critical of eggs benny anywhere I go). “I’ve been in Philadelphia for two months. This is the best breakfast I’ve had. The two scrambled eggs were perfect. The home fries were generous as well as the sausage patties. Topped off with a large cup of coffee. The cost was very reasonable. Highly recommended!“

“The food is tasty, and the prices are very reasonable. For a little over $8, I got a platter of scrambled eggs, pork bacon, and cheese grits. Toast comes with it - they have both white and wheat bread - If it was extra, it was only by a dollar or so.
They used to have multiple tables that you could sit and eat at, but not anymore. The back of the restaurant looks like they're renovating, so those tables are not there. That is the only reason I didn't give the atmosphere 5 stars. However, there is one long table up front. There are no chairs, but on it are the various condiments: ketchup, maple syrup, salt and pepper, hot sauce, etc. My fiancé and I didn't want to eat on the train we were waiting to catch, so we ate at that same long table. Standing up and eating was the better option than trying to eat on a fast-moving train and/or bus.
Staff is very friendly and accommodating.“

“At first looks the place is a little plain and empty. A few out of service drink coolers , a single rack with chips and cookies, and 2 PA skill machines (which I played while I waited for my food). But the place is very clean and you have an open view of the kitchen which I always appreciate as a customer. Prices were reasonable and the food preparation and presentation were notably good. Never judge a book by its cover. This place serves amazing breakfast and I will be back to try the lunch for sure.“

“Being as though I lived in this neighborhood my entire life, I can say that I have never seen this business fall off. They have been a staple since I was young and more than likely beyond that.

The food is the exact type of breakfast food you are looking for. Nothing is over cooked or over seasoned. The food is so good, I find it hard to eat the entire platter at times. It is located in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood, so the environment may not be appealing to some. However, there is no denying or questioning their food and the quality.

Parking: The store is located on a corner. The only place you can't park are the bus stops. However, you can park across the street, behind the bus stops, and along the side the diner.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs to enter, simply a small ramp. Additionally, tables are low and you can rearrange them to fit your needs.“

“I get a bacon egg and cheese with a regular sized half and half. Does me right every time. They scramble the egg instead of doing that lil omelette. I like it. lol. They close at 1pm. They also be busy around 11 so if you calling you and aren’t getting an answer, keep calling. If you don’t call before you order, you will be waiting. All the older people be in there“

Tht are open for take out and they still have the same quality food (fresh), happy demeanor considering our current pandemic, and they are clean 8nside out as usual. “While it's vibe feels like a cramped diner you can't actually eat in, I mean that in the best possible way. I visited Philly to spend a week with my sister, and despite how elbow to elbow you might feel ordering and waiting for your food, the lady behind the counter who I can only assume owns the place makes you feel right at home. I probably reeked of tourist, and all the same, my order was taken and I felt more than comfortable being able to chat back and forth with my sister, her partner, and the order taker without feeling even remotely across the country. Then there was the food... I only had breakfast there twice, and I'm only disappointed I couldn't have had every breakfast there. The home fries were easily some of the best I've ever had, with a perfect crisp to the outside while being nice and creamy in the center, and the onions and peppers only added some extra texture and flavor. The pork sausage omelette was about all I could ever ask for from a diner style omelette. I'm hoping to visit again next year, and I know for certain I'll be wanting to start the next morning here.
