“We had a fantastic dinner at this P.F. Chang’s. I had a reservation but otherwise plenty of seating available on a Friday night. We ordered the half-order lettuce wrap appetizer, we each had the Chang’s spicy chicken entree with side of rice, then finally for dessert we ordered the butter cake. We each had 2 cocktails, the lychee and the lemon drop martini. All was delicious with nice presentation. The staff was extremely friendly. Nate “bald” was a great server and took very good care of us. The manager another “bald” lol also checked on us more than once and brought waters out to us. Definitely would go back!“

“Taipei is by far the best sushi and Chinese restaurant in the Fox Chapel area. The servers are courteous and the specialty sushi rolls are noticeabley larger and tastier than Jimmy Wan's. In my opinion, Taipei also offers a better selection than Jimmy Wan's. We also appreciate Taipei's complimentary fried wontons served before each meal and orange slices provided at the end of service. This family-friendly restaurant always make us feel at home.“

“A pretty typical Chinese food place. The food is good and fairly priced- you even get the egg roll with your meal. The restaurant is a little dimly lit and no one greeted me when I walked in. But, when someone was able to come she was very polite and quick to get me taken care of. We will be getting more food from here for sure.“

My main gripe is that everything only comes in one size - it would be nice to have options for smaller portions or larger family-style servings.Despite these issues, the quality of the food keeps me coming back. “Golden Palace is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in town. It serves delicious Cantonese dishes. The service is prompt, and the waitresses are so nice and kind.

Highly Recommended: Salty Flowing Egg Yolk Bun, Steamed Fish (Bass), Char Siu (Roasted Pork), House Treasure (mixed vegetable and meat), Mushroom and Chicken Clay Pot Rice (the perfect mix of soft and crunchy rice with sweet and savouriness), Fried Pork Intestine (+ Spicy Fried Intestine with Preserved Vegetables), Peking Pork Loin (Sweet and Sour Pork), and the Seafood Pan Fried Noodles. I also love the Steamed Okra, and the Sufu Spinach.

I have never been disappointed at Golden Palace, and I don’t think you will.“

“Restaurant: PLEASE clean the inside of the restaurant. The front desk and seating area with the flowers is soooo dirty. When I went to pick up the food I almost turned around. So dusty and just gross. Honestly it’s the first impression you make. Please just clean it up. I tables looked clean. The floors were fine. But the front area was awful.

Food & Service: The food is great. Egg rolls are amazing. I’m so mad I didn’t get the crab Rangoons now. I know they would have been great. I will say the chicken is a little more fried than I would like. Super crispy and tastes fresh. I don’t like my sesame chicken super fried. But the next day it’s so good. Service was fast. The kids were kind, I didn’t see the adults. They gave my kids some Easter candy which was really cute.“

My daughter and I have been ordering from here for years and we’ve also been inside the restaurant to eat many times and we’ve never had a problem. Their food is very good. “Tried Rice King for the first time and I’m glad I did. Ordered takeout of Hunan pork, vegetable lo-mein and steamed dumplings. Both vegetables and pork were very fresh and each dinner was seasoned as it should be with generous portions. The dumplings were large and savory.

I arrived few minutes early from pickup time given when I phoned my order to find everything ready and nicely bagged up. The owner greeted me when I entered and was pleasant to talk with. I’ll visit Rice King again.“
