“Had high expectations for this place but the food just wasn’t that great :/ I ate solo and even tried to fit in 3 dishes but neither of them really hit. Pierogi were nicely crisped on the outside but the romesco-like sauce on the bottom made the dish more on the acidic side, especially since there was already pickled relish on top, and I found myself wishing for more fat or sweetness. I actually used ricotta that came with bread and it tasted much better with it. Lobster roll filling was excellent but I wished they’d actually toasted the bread on the inside and not on the outside. Eating soft white bread of which there was a lot just didn’t feel great. Finally, the skate had good flavor and shishitos were a cute touch but the fish was severely undersalted (it’s a thick fillet) and the sauce on the bottom was, again, mostly acidic and didn’t help much.

A 'chickn' sandwich and a 'chickn' wrap made out of mushrooms that tasted magically delicious and seitan reuben that reminded my hubby of the old days when he ate meat. “A group of 5 of us visited Dish last night and the meals were amazing. Grilled Squid, the best I have ever had. Where else can you find it not breaded and fried? Add to that their amazing sardines so fresh and good. Pasta Funghi another high. Exquisite detail to taste in every dish. “I visited from out of town and fell in love with this place. Ended up sitting at the bar and chatting with the bartender and her partner. It was great conversation with very friendly people. The drink! OMG the DRINK!!! I NEED the recipe for the Forged Dirty. Seriously. It is hands down the best dirty martini I have ever had and probably will ever have in my life. Please, someone reach out and send the recipe to me. 🙂 The food was excellent. The pizza was good, the grape leaves were delicious, and the falafel was amazing.“

“My family went for lunch on Saturday, the place was absolutely packed! And for good reason, the food was absolutely delicious! And the service we received from our waiter was perfect. Elijah was very attentive and always happy to meet my toddlers many requests 😅 Also would like to add that even though they were super busy, it took them less than 10 minutes to get us seated and the food didn’t take long to come out at all. “This location was recommended for a medical school reunion in Pittsburgh by our alumni association. The food was excellent and the portions very generous. We did the family style dining for a large group, and it was very well received. One of my Italian classmates sate the the Cacio e Pepe was the best that he had tasted outside of Milan. The orange marmalade horse radish sauce was amazing, sweet with a kick. The king salmon with miso glaze was also delicious but our favorite were the Brussel sprouts. The ginger soy glaze was absolutely the best. I highly recommend a revisit or trip here for a special occasion or just to have excellent food.“

My wife and I have been coming to Maiku for 3 years after finding the good reviews online. We have NEVER been disappointed by Maiku in the dozen or two dozen times we've eaten here. Both dining in and take out, the food is always hot, fresh, and flavorful. The owner is the sweetest woman in the world, and the staff always packs up our take-out orders with the care of a family member. I've been recommending Maiku for years, and figured it was time to leave a review as well. Food, pricing, and atmosphere is a 10/10. Hands down the best Pho in the city, and, in our opinion, best in the country. I'm going to miss this place when we move!!!“

The food was done in minutes and when I went to check out he told me to put my money away the first one is on the house. There aren’t to many businesses like this one in this day and age.
