“I think the ice cream was great. Tried the maple walnut. Apple dumpling not so much. The bottom was very undercooked, and when reheated, it wasn't very warm. I recommend at least slicing the apple open, so it folds like an onion. This way, the bottom of the dough will have a chance to cook. And more of the liquid from the apples and whatever else they put inside, some people put butter, we'll have a chance to cook out. Or when cooking the apple dumpling, cook it upside down for about ten fifteen minutes and then flip it back over to finish cooking the rest of the way. The top part of the dumpling in the apple was delicious. It was soft enough to use a plastic spoon to cut, but still crunchy At the same time.“

“This has always been my go to DQ.
Today they made a very difficult situation a little better.
Shout out to the Jeannette DQ! On our way to the a Vet with Max our German Shepard, we noticed that the window was open at our DQ on Rt 130 in Jeannette/Hempfield. We had to pull over to rearrange the seating with the dog in the Explorer. I went up to the window and asked if by chance had any Ice Cream to give our dog. I explained where we were headed and why. The owner said "Hold on 1 Minute". A minute later he came walking around the corner with a dish of Ice Creame for our Max. He asked if he could see him. I opened up the hatch and he gave him the ice creame and petted Max for a few minutes. Can't thank him enough. This little jesture of kindness was huge for us. We were able to give Max one last treat! Thank you so much. I hope this message goes viral and you get paid 1,000 fold. You totally deserve it. Dairy Queen (Treat)“

“My neighbor - who is my best friend - and I stopped there Friday after a really tough situation for her. Let me tell you, the lady there from down south was the sweetest person! My husband ordered the pot roast omelette, both times he had asked for no green peppers and was told no problem but yet still had them all through it. When we told our waitress it just seemed not to be a big deal of hers. This evening alone my silverware was greasy, we ended up having to ask the shift supervisor for a drink refill and she ended up getting our box and check for us, my son's plate had something hard cooked in the scrambled eggs as well. This evening we came in a little after 7. There were still a few tables and someone came in after us. Towards the end it seemed like everyone sat in the back and didn't care about anything. I understand it's almost closing time but still. I was so annoyed with our visit this time. There's no consistency in service sometimes.“

“Counter staff could be much friendlier. The lady checking out customers was VERY short tempered and impatient when my family and others were ordering. We were only giving our orders like normal, nothing slow about the order, so to be rushed and so rudely dealt with was un called for. Other people in line were commenting on how rude she was, so on a funnier note, we all were joining in on the eye rolls and head shakes.I normally only leave positive reviews for businesses, as I understand how difficult it is working with the public, but this lady was truly incorrigible.“
