“My daughter has Celiac disease and can't eat gluten. Jay's has a FANTASTIC menu for those with this problem! His gf pretzel rolls are to die for and the regular pretzel rolls are delicious too! They cook all of the gf food in a separate fryer. We love the gf chicken fingers too. Since all of the gf food has to go through a single cook, it's best to order that before hand because it might take a few extra minutes during busy times. Jay also gives back to the community with donations towards heating oil for those in need during Christmas times. It's an order up window only but there is an outside covered area where you can eat. I would buy it again. 4 stars. Blueberry Breakfast Cake. I liked it but I didn't love it. To me, the blueberries tasted like they came out of a can, and I didn't expect that. The cake was moist, but for me, it was a little too sweet. I wouldn't buy it again but that's my taste. Give it a try and make your own decision. 2.5 stars. Cannoli Cupcake. Not one of those huge cupcakes that you can't fit into your mouth, and you need a fork and knife. Tasty with a little Cannoli on top. 3 stars. Creme Brulee with chocolate mousse topping. “We visited Chez Alice today as just a quick stop in. The ambience is very nice. As if it wasn’t obvious, it’s designed in the French style and many of the pastry items are French. The service was excellent and everyone was incredibly nice. We had the Turkey and Brie sandwich and the Grilled Cheese (Gruyère with a tomato jam). The grilled cheese was AMAZING. The Turkey and Brie was okay. The bread was really nice but the combination of avocado, bacon, and Brie (in addition to the turkey) was odd. I would have made that sandwich a ham, apple, Brie, with a thin layer of fig jam.We also purchased an order of Macarons to go (the salted caramel was insanely delicious) and 4 slices of some of their cakes. The cakes were all nice. The chocolate raspberry torte was HEAVENLY. We also tried the Ferrero Rocher style cake which was good. I loved the Opera cake but my husband and FIL did not. The mango mousse was light and refreshing. The only downside? The individual cakes were a little overpriced, especially when the regular sized cakes were 39-50 dollars. Will we go back? Absolutely.“
“I was very impressed with the "Be Well Cafe" in Richboro. They had a New Year craft activity and scavenger hunt for children yesterday. The owners really went all out with nice crafts and even a "ball drop." My grandkids loved it. I enjoyed a nice cup of tea, and my son... an egg wrap and a speciety coffee drink., and daughter... a chocolate scone and chai. They are now open 7 days a week from 7:30-2:30 pm.
