When we went it was obviously prom time at a local school. Being a former Brit, this is not an experience I ever had and it was nice to see the formality of the students.Kid-friendliness: This is likely not a place to expect crayons and paper mats to colour in, but well behaved kids seemed welcome. It is an grown up dining experience and if you are trying to socialise your children, this is a good place to come to.“

“Family of four. Food was excellent and the interior was very nicely decorate but a little noisy only because it was nicely crowded. We started with a strong Capital Cosmopolitan and Wedge with Blue Cheese and Smoked Bacon. It was odd bacon but good. Our mains were a Bone-In Ribeye 22 oz medium rare, a Sliced Filet Mignon with Cipollini Onions/ Wild Mushrooms/ Fig Essence, a Filet Mignon 10 oz medium well, and a Filet Mignon well done with Oscar All steaks were prepared exactly as ordered. The Oscar was so large we couldn't finish all the jumbo lump crab meat. Our sides were Roasted Wild Mushrooms, Creamed Spinach, and Sam's Mashed Potatoes. The mushrooms could've used more flavor. We had a bottle of Terrazas Altos Malbec red wine with our meal. For desert, we had Capital Grille Cheesecake and Flourless Chocolate Espresso Cake, and I still can't say which was more delicious. Our waiter, Farokh E, was excellent and made our experience perfect. Expensive but highly recommended.“

We went because of the gluten free menu and reviews and it didn't disappoint! Shout out to Brittany! “We love Spring House. The food, drinks and service are consistently top notch. Last night was a step backwards. We were greeted at the table by our server with bread and butter and asking if we wanted more than water to drink. In general the drinks took a while and so did the soup. We waited quite a while for someone to take the empty soup bowls and ask if we wanted a water refill or another drink. The soup bowls were taken when the entrees were served. There was someone nearby who was setting the table next to us but she was only interested a table that was still empty when we left. We remain fans of the restaurant and will be back but clearly not a good moment.“

“We got the mixed grill to share between 3 people and had more than enough food. I liked the chicken skewers and meatballs the best. This was the perfect choice to try a little bit of everything. We added a side of fries and they were perfectly crispy. I would definitely come back!“

Only minor negative was when we arrived 90% of the restaurant was empty and we were told to sit at the sushi bar because they were expecting a wave of reservations. However by the time we finished our meal the restaurant was 80% empty so we definitely could have sat at a table. The menu has a lot of good options so we will definitely return.“

“Very calm atmosphere and an upscale interior. The staff were very attentive and kept our water glasses filled. Our waitress noticed we did not bring alcohol (it is BYOB) and offered us complimentary rice wine. The sushi rolls were prepared quickly and very tasteful. They have a unique yet traditional selection of food, many items that you may not find at a typical sushi restaurant. The miso soup was the best I’d ever had!“

“The food was good. Well presented, well done but unfortunately, priced extremely high. I ordered 2 appetizers for dinner and it was more than enough. The menu is pretentious, filled with ingredients that I've never heard of so while it peeked my curiosity it also simultaneously squeezed my wallet. I can't justify an 80.00 20 oz bone in rib eye or market price crab cakes. There is a new chef and an updated menu, I just hope the chef doesn't price this place out of business.“

“If I could give them 10 stars I would. When the cops & firemen take their lunch breaks here, you know the food is awesome. Service is beyond excellent and the food is ALWAYS consistently delicious. Pizza is always perfectly done - just enough sauce, perfect amount of cheese, crispy bottom. Cheesesteaks and chicken cheesesteaks are great, all their hot/cold sandwiches are. Fries are BOMB. “On Thursday, I took my daughter to Revolution to celebrate her good grades. The food, as usual, was outstanding. However, it was our server, Lillian, that was star. She absolutely spoiled my daughter, was SO SWEET with her, and even personally made hot chocolate and a shirley temple for Lola. Lillian’s impression was so profound that I will never be able to forget tonight. I’m a grown man and Lillian’s kindness almost had me in tears and was just left speechless. Lillian, I don’t know you, but thank you so much for going above and beyond for Lola. You are one of the kindest hearts I have ever had the pleasure to meet and your employer is lucky to have you.“

“We kind of spur of the moment decided to try this place on the way home from work. I decided to try the Connecticut lobster roll which was good but not nearly the best I’ve had. On the plus side, a generous portion of lobster. But the bread was almost soggy from butter and also the cold lobster meat with the warm bun was weird to me - most Connecticut rolls serve the lobster warm in my experience and it seems like the right choice. To be fair, Conshy is up front in the description saying the meat is chilled. I might try the New England next time and see how that goes. Also got the lobster Mac and cheese which again was good but not great. Pretty standard Mac and cheese with admittedly generous lobster hunks. Husband got the flounder platter and enjoyed everything he got. Definitely worth a return visit.“

They recently updated their awning so it now has "Public House" in larger letters larger than "Lew's" so I temporarily panicked that it might have changed owners. Fortunately its still the same.
