“I most definitely recommend the Menno Haven Rehabilitation Facility! I was a patient there recovering from COVID. I could hardly move when I arrived and when I left, I walked out of the facility. The nursing and therapy staff is, "second to none!" I wish them all the very best!“

“When you work for a business, any business, you represent that business. You should be looking out for that business, which means ensuring ALL of it's customer's are satisfied. . My wife ordered a steak and asked for it to be medium cooked. It came out rare and still cold in the center. My waitress, which had stepped outside to smoke (probably not the best timing, as she probably should have came back to check on us shortly after delivering a steak, but that is neither here nor there, and she was a rather good waitress aside from that.) . When she didn't return to the table for a while, not wanting to eat in front of my wife while she sat there, I put the steak on a side place and took it to the counter, where another waitress was standing on the phone. Another couple walked in the door, as the waitress, standing right in front of me, and could plainly see the steak, hung up the phone, said "Hello" to the other couple, turned to me and said, "I'll be with you in a minute", and went to give the other couple menus. . She could have easily asked me what was the issue, took my steak, turned around and placed it in the kitchen window, asking the cook to cook it a little further, all of which would have taken less than ten seconds. . While off giving the other couple menus, another couple came to the counter to pay their bill. When this waitress returned behind the counter, instead of asking me anything, she called for the other waitress, who I believe was still outside, again, missing a ten second exchange with me. . Then she attended to the paying customers that were standing right beside me. . Perhaps it was my looks, perhaps it was because this was the first time in this establishment and she didn't know me, or maybe she thought I looked like someone she disliked, I don't know. All I can say is that I was basically 'dissed'. . Finally, our waitress returned, took the steak, and had it cooked a little more. . As I said, you represent the company you work for. Just because I'm another waitress's customer, doesn't mean you disrespect your company's patrons and risk loosing that company's future revenue because I'm not sitting at your table. . . So do I recommend this restaurant? I would. The food was 'good'. Overall, our waitress was 'good'. The atmosphere was 'good'. (Based on a 'poor', 'ok', 'good', 'great' scale.) . Depending on the reaction to this, I would even go back, but I would make sure I did not get the ignoring waitress. . This isn't meant so much to be a bad review as it is a message to the management or owners to perhaps have a talk about how your employees can affect your revenue, and even their own. . Thank you for your time.“

“I had an interesting experience here. I went with minimal expectations. It's a "default" destination for people who don't want to venture out from their hotel after all.

The person tending bar when I arrived was a pleasant lady who took my drink and food order:
Vodka martini and a Bistro Burger
I knew immediately there was a concern because I wasn't asked what vodka I preferred and whether I wanted it straight up or on the rocks etc.
the drink I got was (forgive me) disgusting. It was all vermouth and had a LIME in it.
I choked this down and ordered a whiskey instead since that's pretty much impossible to mess up :)

To make matters worse, the couple that came in after me not only got their burgers before me, they finished them before I got mine.

Another person arrived behind the bar in the meantime.
His name is "T".
He gave me a water without me asking, asked me about my food order, and offered me another whiskey (again without asking me what I had- meaning he had looked to find out).

He apologized for the food situation and got me my burger.

I over-tipped him to acknowledge the good service. I decided to let him know about the issues I had, and he insisted on making me a proper martini. It was perfect.

Turns out he had a family emergency, which is why he was not there when I walked in when they opened to take my order and provide proper service.

Give this guy and his place a chance. He clearly cares about his customers and the service provided here, which is all too rare these days.

“My husband and I were in Shippensburg for a show at the Luhr Center at Shippensburg University last night. We've stayed at this facility in the past so elected to stay here again. The facility is still beautiful and was so clean that it may have been recently updated. What we noticed (as we find everywhere since the pandemic) is the business is short staffed. However, the few people working were outstanding in wearing multiple hats. A manager helped to tend the bar at the Bistro, the desk person cleaned tables and helped to serve our dinner, the young lady behind the bar was cooking breakfast as well as serving and manning the cash register, and a manager was cleaning rooms in the morning. In addition, every person was exceptionally friendly. I want to commend this work force for their ability to work together and keep this business running efficiently. I can only hope that this review reaches upper management of Marriott and these people are commended for their effort. The only thing I would improve was that the water in the swimming pool was too cold. We enjoyed the hot-tub instead.“

“Diffy’s is a Great stop if you’re in the area!
We normally stop in a couple times a year when we go to Shippensburg for something. Every time the fries have been perfectly cooked! Perfect crisp nice size for soft potato inside.

“Excellent meal and service. We both had open faced turket sandwiches. I had mashed, LT had fries. Mashed were very good. Fries were some of the best diner fries ever - and we're both 81 and well travelled. Side salad was outstanding. Great find and we will be back.“

“We were there on Saturday. The food was very good. I was going to order a salad and I asked for Thousand Island dressing and was told that they don't have that. I just can't imagine why a place like Longhorn don't have Thousand Island. So I didn't order the salad. Please think about putting Thousand Island back on the list of dressings. I would think Thousand Island would be a popular dressing.“

“Ordered take out wings and they are the best wings I’ve ever had. The gentleman on the phone who took my order was very nice, repeated back my order to make sure nothing was missed and answered my questions when i didn’t know something. I wanted ranch dressing with the wings, and they gave each box a huge cup filled when most places give barely any ranch. I ordered 40 wings and they were ready within 15 minutes. Great customer service and even better food. 100% recommend.“

“Our server for the evening was Mena. He went over and above to serve us and make our dinner enjoyable. He was pleasant and personable. He did not upcharge us on the additional food that was not ordered. He substituted very kindly when one of our sides was not available. His pleasant conversation made our dinner memorable. We will have to try the buffet he recommended on the weekend sometime.“

“Food was good, nice clean place. Bloody Mary was good however price on menu as a special was 5$, when bill came that wasn't the case. Asked about it and was told the menu was old and they were 9$ now and they can't offer 2 drink specials bc it's not legal, kind of odd. 9$ is the going rate, just don't advertise this if that's the case.“
