“This review is long overdue, but we wanted to thank the DQ staff for making us a fabulous gender reveal ice cream cake! The owner (I am so sorry to not remember his name) had never made a gender reveal cake, but took our vision and ran with it, no questions asked. The cake (with pink icing inside!) came out great and more importantly, was absolutely delicious. My husband and I cut into it privately and had a slice each night for the rest of the week 🥰“

“Typically, Dairy Queen establishments with indoor seating aren’t are run down and serve lower quality ice cream than purely outdoor ones. Not sure why, but that’s I’ve experienced over the years.

This location, however, is very nice. Thanks to this DQ, I don’t have to spend the colder months craving a blizzard and can try all of the seasonal flavors. The ice cream is consistently good; I go here almost every week, and they never once skimped or served ice cream that wasn’t fresh. The seating area is clean and well maintained.“

“Ice cream is delicious, but the highlight was the service. I had two ten-year-old girls with me who took awhile to choose, and the man who served us was so patient and kind to them. It was very noisy and crowded, but he gave them his full attention and made sure they got exactly what they wanted. Meanwhile another server offered me a taste of his favorite flavor combo, just for fun. I ended up getting the peppermint bark ice cream. Peppermint was my favorite ice cream when I was a kid, and it’s hard to come by these days. This one hit the spot. “My friend and I visited West Chester today for the first time and stopped in here, our first time at Insomnia as well. The gentleman working let us know there would be a bit of a wait as it was Valentine’s Day and they were crazy busy. We left and went back a bit later and it was so worth the wait. The two guys were both working SO hard but when we were waited on, he was so kind and sweet, you would have never guessed how stressed and busy they were if you didn’t see them running around like crazy. And the cookies are amazing too.“

“I had to come on and talk about the young man I believe he said his name was Ben. I was in twice yesterday and during the second trip with my older son he came over to ask how everything was. My son who has anxiety and autism and usually won’t talk to me when we are out starts asking Ben his birthday. I told my son he was working and couldn’t talk. This young man had a full conversation with my son and said that was his job to make sure my son enjoyed his time there. I can not thank you enough. It may just be part of the job for you but it was a lot more then a meal for us“

“Order taker guy was great, and he deserves a two thumbs up for attitude and taking pride in doing his job. Burger was excellent, no complaints. Fries, not so much. They were cold, lifeless and had not been salted. The only negative un a great dining experience.“
