“A group of 5 of us visited Dish last night and the meals were amazing. Grilled Squid, the best I have ever had. Where else can you find it not breaded and fried? Add to that their amazing sardines so fresh and good. Pasta Funghi another high. Exquisite detail to taste in every dish. The owners go way out of their way to make you feel welcomed and happy and very satisfied. A must visit when you are lucky enough to get a reservation though other friends have happily sat at the bar for dinner just to be there!! Kudos to Dish!“

We did the family style dining for a large group, and it was very well received. One of my Italian classmates sate the the Cacio e Pepe was the best that he had tasted outside of Milan. I would strongly recommend this location for really first rate Italian food and a great atmosphere“

Menu selections included: • Gemelli with Homemade Meat Sauce – twisted pasta served with a rich, slow-simmered sauce • Cavatappi with Creamy Pesto – corkscrew pasta tossed in a vibrant basil pesto sauce The food servings were plentiful, the aroma was inviting, and the dishes were bright, fresh, and full of flavor. You could truly taste the quality of the ingredients. Jen was excellent with communication throughout the process, making everything smooth and easy. “We have been going to Piccolo Forno for years. It is my favorite restaurant. The staff is outstanding. The food is creative and menu items are changed regularly to make use of seasonal ingredients. There are so many delicious choices on the menu that it is difficult to decide what to order. The food is reasonably priced and the corkage fee is less than most restaurants. This restaurant is a gem for anyone who loves delicious Italian food!“

“My son and I had dinner for Mother’s Day. Our first experience at this restaurant. Aside from a small miscommunication where the side dishes were delivered to the table alongside the apps, everything was very good. They corrected the sides and delivered fresh with the entrees, the sides were easily large enough to share amongst three or four people and the food was very good. The app, sides and entrees, as well as the gluten free chocolate cake were all delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant and plan to return.“

We tried Pizza, Pasta, Chicken parmesan, Alfredo Carbonara, Italian Platter (lasagna, stuffed shells, manicotti, ravioli, all covered in sauce and cheese), garlic knots, and mozzarella sticks, salad and warm buttered rolls. Everything was delicious with large portions. We drove an hour away from home and it was well worth the trip. We were graciously taken care of with amazing customer service! My favorite is the stuffed crabmeat mushroom appetizer, bruschetta and Chicken Romano. The meatballs and pasta are so good. My favorite dessert is the Tiramisu. Yes, Joe is our cousin and that is definitely warm and wonderful but Louise, Joe's matriarch, was there too which made it extra special. All food made to order fresh and it definitely shows the attention to every morsel we enjoyed. Oh, the bread is made locally and it's the best. “This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The entrees are creative plays on classic Italian dishes, the sides are well executed and the appetizers are incredible. The most dangerous thing is the buckwheat focaccia. It's fluffy, soft and flavorful, and the variety of dipping options are mouthwatering individually. I love the vibe of the restaurant. It's hip without feeling forced, the staff is friendly and they play cool music. It's a great date night spot. Major drawback is the parking. It's on-street, and a crapshoot at best to find a spot near the door. But don't let that stop you from checking this place out. It's worth the trip. Pricing is in-line with most upscale dining in the city but not at the extreme upper end.“
