“Went on for the first time on a Monday night. Food choices were very good. Service also very good.We ordered the Ikamaruyaki (grilled squid) appetizer which was very good. For dinner we ordered a sashimi platter and Unagi-don bowl. Both were very good as well. Will return in the future when we are looking for Japanese cuisine.“

What really sets it apart are the thoughtful little touches—delicate dabs of caviar and other unexpected accents that enhance and elevate each piece without overpowering the fish.

My friend and I started with the oysters and tuna tasting platter. The oysters were exquisite, and the tuna was, as always, exceptional. We followed with the sushi and sashimi combination, adding salmon, king salmon, and chutoro and Otoro. Heavenly doesn’t even begin to describe it. Every bite was beautifully balanced and absolutely delicious.

The cocktails are equally well crafted, and we ended the meal with sorbet—lemon for my friend and coconut for me. The perfect, refreshing finish to an outstanding meal.

“I often travel for work and usually make it a point to stop and local Asian restaurants and sushi restaurants but I'll tell you what I've been around the world and I am always so blown away how good hakata's food is!!

Please disregard ratings less than five stars HAKATA IS AWESOME! Sometimes I'll stop in in the afternoon and they're rocking out to '90s hip hop while making sushi and it just makes my entire day 😀 they have a fantastic ambiance and even better sushi they're ramen bowls are fantastic as well. I often get the Godzilla roll as well as the Samurai ramen and every single time I am impressed.

I bring my family with me and the kids love it as well they have a fantastic kids menu and they're just a great crew that makes amazing sushi So do yourself a favor and try them.

This place is a GEM and if you don't like it go to the supermarket and get yourself a $0.05 pack of factory made ramen and stay at home.

But if you're looking for something special I promise you're going to love hakata!

“Takumi was a fun place to go for a casual Valentine's dinner with family. The service was attentive and food came out quickly. The vibe in the restaurant was upbeat. The cocktails were inspired and tasty. We loved the purple fry app. If you get he coconut shrimp entree, be aware that the shrimp are not peeled, so there is a bit of messy work to be done. Overall, a great time.“

“I popped in last evening while I was waiting for my dog, who was at an emergency appointment, at the Metropolitan Vet, which is nearby. It was a lovely experience from start to finish. I’m so glad I found this restaurant. I have phenomenal sushi and an amazing hibachi dinner meal. The service was phenomenal. The sushi was fresh. “I come to this shopping center all the time but this is the first time this store was open while I was there. We ordered a variety of 2 cooked and 2 raw rolls and all were a hit. Crunchy Dragon roll is my favorite! The sushi here is so fresh and delicious. I was thoroughly surprised and impressed. I will definitely be ordering party platters from here in the future.
