“I am a foodie for sure and this experience was a flavor explosion!! The beets were a texture fantasy with a crunch and sweet savory home run. And the Striploin?!!!!! Filet tenderness with a better than NY strip flavor (how is it possible?). Second only to my NYC Wagyu A5 favorite. I was a little hesitant when I first saw the menu, but nothing disappointed at all! Would definitely recommend and return with friends for that steak!!! Chef Dave is a Master of flavors. Shame on me for reviewing before dessert. COME FOR THE DESSERT!! SMH. “Tonight we ate at the Urban Tap. Our server Jenna was not only delightful. She was on top of every order both drinks and food. Clearing the table quickly. Filling drinks. And very personable to speak with. I would not only recommend this place to anyone. I would recommend her specifically as your server if possible.“

“My wife & I go to dinner with a few other couples once a month. We go down the alphabet & go to non chain restaurants. We picked Meat & Potatoes for M. This was all of our first time at the restaurant. We were seated in the side 1 table room, the service was great, it was like our own little space. My wife & I got the 2 Tomahawk steaks, bone marrow, asparagus, & shoestring fries. Everything was amazing, we all got different starters to share. We got the pig candy, all starters were great! There was not one complaint from the table, we will definitely be back. I have known the owner for a very long time, & been to his other places & been just as satisfied. “It has been forever since I have sat at a hotel bar but I didn’t want to go outside so Ollie’s was where I ended up for the night and I am so glad I did.

As you can expect, it was easy to get to as it is right on the main check-in level of the Embassy. I found my way over to the bar and began to scroll the menu. To my surprise, there was more than just the regular bar food which allowed for even more options. Can you say excited? LoL!

I asked for a sweet tea but they didn’t have any so I ended up with a Dr. Pepper, I would say it was an even trade. Ha! After a few minutes with the menu I decided to get the Brisket & Swiss along with an order of the Crispy Wings w/ Dry Rub. Once the bartender came back over, I put my order in, and went back to scrolling my phone.

The ambiance of the bar was comfortable. There were multiple games on the televisions but the patrons weren’t loud or outrageous. The bartender was all by herself but her service deliverable was amazing and she did it all with a smile and no one was neglected. Kudos to her!

After a few moments (not too long at all), my food was ready. As I ordered it to go, it came out fresh and pre-packed. I paid and was on my way.

Once I sat down to eat I was excited by the smells coming out of each box. The food was piping hot and I could smell the seasoning of everything that I ordered. The flavor profile of each dish was amazing. The brisket was tender and the swiss was perfectly melted. The wings were truly crispy and meaty. I am so happy I decided to go to Ollie’s.“
