“This is such a beautiful restaurant inside. Food was great, we shared some rolls and a couple of larger entrees which were all delicious. Make sure you get the fortune cookie dessert- so good! Cocktail list was a bit limited but lots of other beverages to pick from and the two we ordered were very good.“

“The lady was so nice and the chef came out to greet us as we ate our meal. She was very helpful in explaining to us the flavors and styles of each meal. The restaurant was very homely where you know it’s that authentic family recipe passed down from generation to generation. Our food was hot and served in a timely fashion. Got a teriyaki bowl today and chicken was a hit dry and the carrots were not peeled and possibly not washed. I picked them all out because they tasted awful. “This place is fantastic!I used to work in SHV, and I would have killed for a sushi joint like this back in those days. Based on the prices and location, I would have never expected such a high quality meal with such a pleasant staff experience. I believe the gentleman who assisted me was named Bawi (I could have misheard). He could not have been more kind and gracious. I was there at the end of the night after a fairly slow weekday for them, and he was telling me how they make all of their Sushi fresh --every single day. Since they would not be carrying any of their pre-prepared rolls into the next day, he sent me home with a few samples of some rolls to try something new and share w/ my family. We loved everything!I highly recommend giving them a chance the next time you find yourself in or around the food court!“

“We got back from Japan a week ago and were missing the amazing food. Thankfully, my husband found Yukiyama. Wow! It was super authentic and we loved it. We ordered way too much food not thinking the portions would be Americanized. No matter. I'm happy to have leftovers for lunch this week. We loved the gyoza (dumplings). They were so soft, delicate and flavorful. They didn't need the sauce but the sauce was terrific. The pictures of their sushi looked good so I wanted to try it. The tuna roll was delicious and only $6. My husband loved his chashu (pork that tastes just like bacon) ramen. There were tons of noodles, huge pieces of pork and mushrooms. He really enjoyed it and was in the mood for ramen since we loved it so much in Japan. I got the chicken katsu (basically a cut up fried chicken cutlet or breast). It was so crispy, tender and flavorful. The portion was giant. It came with white rice, miso soup and the sweet and delicious katsu sauce that I love. We wi definitely be back to try other things when we come back out to Squirrel Hill. The man who brought out the food was so sweet. We miss Japan and found an amazing new spot.“

“It took me years to try this place which is sad because their sushi is amazing. I love the prices, the menu definitely has options but it isn’t overwhelming. I came in around 9:30 after craving sushi all day and the staff was friendly and quick to help out. They make the sushi right in front of you. It’s fresh even right before closing. They have a water machine while you wait for your food which isn’t much of a wait at all. The condiments bar was clean, the entire store was very clean. The decor is very cool and welcoming. “Very well decorated, seems humble from the outside but once you step in you are greeted with great service and a genuine Asian atmosphere. They have all you can eat sushi here and many options to choose from including my favorite CHICKEN tempura roll! I was able to order some salmon, crunchy roll, spicy tuna roll.. and if you don’t want to do the sushi you can always have the chicken or steak hibachi which comes with a sort of honey bbq sauce on top of it. Both were very delicious. They honestly put a lot of protein in the sushi so if you’re a fan of the raw, go for it! The only thing was that in some fo the google images it appears to say the all you can eat is 23 dollars but it’s actually 29 which is still a pretty incredible deal for the amount they offer to you, but of course 23 would be better lol“

“Umami is a vibe! The artwork, music, and service come together to create an incredible atmosphere. I’ve been there twice for dinner and absolutely loved the takoyaki (fried octopus balls, they were perfectly cooked. The gyudon (beef rice bowl) was just okay, but the rayu cucumbers were delightful and had the perfect crunch! It’s a great spot for a date night, especially with their shareable plates. You should definitely make a reservation before going!“

“The Golden Gai in Bakery Square has a truly unique vibe—stylish, cozy, and welcoming from the moment we walked through the door. We enjoyed chatting with our wonderful bartender Liz, had the chance to talk with the chefs, and were especially impressed with our server, Hiroki. His thoughtful recommendations and clear passion for what the restaurant offers added so much to the experience.
The cocktails were outstanding—we tried the Ryujin and the Fu Dog, both beautifully crafted. We started with the gyoza, which were truly next level, followed by delicate Madai nigiri sushi. “Taipei is by far the best sushi and Chinese restaurant in the Fox Chapel area. The servers are courteous and the specialty sushi rolls are noticeabley larger and tastier than Jimmy Wan's. In my opinion, Taipei also offers a better selection than Jimmy Wan's. We also appreciate Taipei's complimentary fried wontons served before each meal and orange slices provided at the end of service. This family-friendly restaurant always make us feel at home.“

There were six in our party and they conveniently did an auto gratuity (18%). I try to tip generously anyway but it REALLY annoys me when it is auto added. “Little Tokyo Restaurant is in Mt. Lebanon near Pittsburgh, PA. LTR has hibachi, udon and Ramen bowls, sushi and other options. The food was great as was the service. We had steak and shrimp hibachi, yummy roll (shrimp tempura inside with crab), udon bowl and a spicy tuna hand roll. The only complaint is how loud it was inside. At times it was difficult to hear the conversation at our own table. I would return if I'm in the area again.“

“I have ordered/eaten at this restaurant more than 5+ times. I am local. My 1&only complaint - if someone orders more than 1 sushi roll (2+), we would love 2 pairs of chopsticks. My husband & I order atleast once every 2 weeks & we both love sushi but only order 1 sushi roll each because we order a dinner combo as well plus appetizer. If we could have 2 sets of chopsticks when we order 2 or more sushi rolls, that would %125 make our whole day“

“Love this restaurant for Chinese food. Just a word of advice if you like dishes spicy this is the place to go if you like slightly spicy don't ask for extra spicy. You won't be able to eat it 😭. But that's good at least you know they don't mass produce.“
