Typical Chinese takeout spot with a pretty standard menu. They have a great lunch deal during the week where you get an entree and either a soup or soda for like $10.

The lunch special is a fantastic value and includes soup and a spring roll. We chose the miso soup, which we agreed is the most flavorful we've ever had. I decided to stay in my neighborhood so I could walk. I worried about it being expensive. Chestnut Hill is high end and the restaurant looked pricey. What a WONDERFUL SURPRISE! I was a solo table but still treated like a queen with lots of servers checking in, giving water and smiling. The roast duck in black bean sauce on the cast iron plate was SCRUMPTIOUS. It comes with a healthy side of white rice and delicate, flavorful bok choi. The skin was crispy yet NOT oily or greasy. The CHUNKS of tender duck meat were excellent. The sauce was thick, savory and yummy. FOODGASM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The portion was so healthy that I was able to take a container home for lunch the next day. Then I ordered the Mudslide ice cream pie for dessert. PERFECTION. Dense, creamy, sweet but not cloying with nut accents, fresh strawberries and cream as garnish. Cool treat on a humid Summer night. When the bill came, I was shocked that it was less than $40. I did not order a cocktail because I wanted to concentrate on the food. I gave them a big tip and said I am absolutely returning. I am also addicted to their spring rolls too. Two perfect crunchy flaky rolls filled with a balanced combination of shrimp, cheese, and cabbage that you can dip in duck sauce or mustard or just enjoy plain.“

“SIMPLY THE BEST CHINESSE RESTAURANT IN THE AREA. We go all the way from Hatboro to this place because is good. They put lots of different vegetables. It is the best in this area. It is not gourmet but the average Chinese restaurant is the best. The people is super nice. The guy cooking is real Chinese and you can tell that he cares. You go to other places, and they just put a bunch of broccoli with a little bit of sauce and they call it Vegie Mix, here, you get a variety of vegetables. The food WAS NOT salty at all, natural.“

“I ordered twice from them through Uber Eats and the food is fantastic! The first time I had fried rice, bbq spare rib tips, blue lemonade, and cheesesteak roll. This time I had regular lemonade with young chow fried rice. I sprinkled soy sauce on it in the picture, but trust me, it didn’t need it, it’s good on its own and I was just being extra lol. They’re officially my favorite Chinese food spot. They’re flavorful, consistent, and always piping hot!“

“Moved to the area 5 years ago. Have struggled to find a half decent Chinese restaurant anywhere nearby. After dozens of really terrible local options we just gave up. In a desperate need to feed the family without time to go grocery shopping, I finally tried Golden Key. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and food is as decent as I make from scratch at home.

Most notably, they seem to make an effort to wash their vegetables really well. I can rarely eat restaurant vegetables 'cause they're so poorly cleaned & still covered in industrial ag chemicals (I work in the industry, as such I'm sensitized to the chemicals. Any residual in the produce I consume makes me sick)“

“This was my go-to spot for delicious takeout food when I lived in Philadelphia. I'd drive out of my way to pick this up. The mango basil fried rice is amazing! I also liked the hunan shrimp. I moved away years ago but got some food again last week when visiting the area, it is still just as yummy as I remember it! The inside is bit rough around the edges but that's normal for takeout spots. Whenever I'm in the area the mango basil fried rice is a must get! Definitely a hidden a gem!!! 😋“

“My family and I 5 generations have enjoyed your food over the years. From my granny (who has now past) my mother, myself, my children, and now their children. The food is always fresh, tasty and having moved down south trips back up North include a 30 - 40 min drive from New Jersey. “Got a general tso combo platter. Super fast, the staff is very friendly, and the portion size is easily double anywhere else in east mount airy for a dollar or two less. Downside is the chicken was not crispy, and it was barely in the box for 5 minutes so i know it didnt get soggy that way. Also the fried rice and egg roll were only so so. Because of the huge portion im having some of the chicken for lunch the next day, 100 percent better cold so it isn't soggy.“

“Food tastes fresh and great, it was ready to eat in 10 minutes after I called. The fried chicken wings were crunchy on the outside and soft tender meat in the inside. But the French fries were average. The home made hot sauce that I asked her to put on them was surprisingly good and not too spicy.“

Of course, being across the street from a bar means I have to deal with the occasional drunk men hitting on me, but it’s all worth it. “Got general Tso chicken, pork fried rice and an iced tea for $10.50. No idea how they are able to charge this little but the food wasn’t bad at all. The pork fried rice was a lil blah, next time I will just get white rice. I didn’t call to order and my food took a lil while but I was very happy with the general tso chicken. Will order again.
