It’s refreshing to see an authentic Spanish place in such a small area and so close to my location. Also, they prepare fresh juices such as watermelon juice, cantaloupe juice, horchata, and more!“

“Pistola’s Del Sur might officially be one of my favorite spots in Passyunk. Easily one of the best happy hours around, and honestly just a great place overall.
I tried all five tacos: tuna, carne asada, roasted chicken, cheesesteak, and buffalo cauliflower, and every single one was amazing.
Still can’t decide which one was my favorite. The chips and salsa were super fresh, with chips so crispy they tasted homemade.
The staff was incredibly friendly, service was quick, and food came out fast. The vibe inside is chill and relaxing, with a couple TVs, plenty of seating, and a great setup whether you’re there to hang out or just grab a bite. They also have an outdoor area, which I’m definitely coming back for once the weather warms up.
Now let’s talk drinks…if you like margaritas, you have to get the Diablo marg pitcher. During happy hour it’s $28, perfectly priced, strong, and great to share.
Overall, I’ll 100% be back multiple times. Highly recommend, not just for happy hour, but for the food, service, and atmosphere too. 🌮🍹🔥“

“This is the BEST Mexican restaurant in all of Delaware county. AMAZING flavor. Generous portions. I usually go to el limon but this is my new spot. You won’t be disappointed.“

“This was my second time here. I went a couple of months ago and I ordered the same type of tacos (cauliflower). The tacos this time were much more flavourful, had more sauce/seasonings. I also had the same margarita and it was also much improved.

I was there with a party of 8. Service was great and one of our party was running late. We weren’t rushed and were asked if we wanted to wait to order food, which I really appreciated.

Our party included meat eaters, vegetarians, and gluten free (celiac, not by choice). There were multiple choices for everyone. Everyone thought their meals were really good - and this is a crowd that frequents Mexican restaurants.

I have celiac disease and can tell within 30 minutes whether or not I got exposed to gluten. The server was very knowledgeable about gluten free options, from drinks to the food. I was assured that what I ordered had no cross contamination and they don’t put other items in the fryer that they use for tortilla chips. I had heard that they had stopped doing this a few months ago from an online review - but seems like they have a dedicated fryer for their chips again. I did not have a reaction!

The rooftop deck is beautiful and just a wonderful atmosphere. The entire restaurant though is thoughtfully decorated and the murals are gorgeous. Also really thrilled about supporting a local who clearly put a lot of thought into opening a restaurant here in East Falls and making it such a wonderful experience.“

You get a different hot sauce almost every day, because you know it is likely made that morning and they are always good. “My friends and I had the best experience here before seeing a show. It’s truly right off Broad St, so easily walkable from public transportation. We went on a Monday and got a table, but it did fill up quickly! The atmosphere in here is great - a little dim in terms of lighting, but not so dark you can’t see menus etc. My food and drink highlights were the blackberry margarita, short rib tacos, and churros. All were absolutely delicious! But, the best part of our time here was the service. Our server Melanie H was kind, responsive, and helpful! She made sure we were happy the whole time which was great.
