“The Love. Umm, yes please. The vibe. The food. The staff. All great.I went for a solo dinner while in town for a conference. I initially wanted to get the fried chicken with grits and collards but my Server mentioned the special for the night, the ribeye with macaroni & cheese and said he’d go with the ribeye. So I did! It was a double the price but I was out of town and why not treat myself to a steak! It did not disappoint, so so good. Unfortunately I had a bit of a headache so I didn’t have a cocktail but the iced tea was good. ? I live in Atlanta, so hopefully I’ll be back soon enough to try out a drink. I had a lovely meal and it was pretty busy Sunday night. I guess it’s a popular spot.“

“Customer service was exceptional. Seating area was a bit small but everyone was so friendly and worked as a team. Honestly the best service I ever had. I went for restaurant week and ordered the shrimp creole. Omg I cleaned my plate and was still salivating over the idea of more when I got home. My partner ordered the crab soup and the salmon. Eyes rolled in the back of his head y’all. Everything was so well and for my first time they left a lasting impression. Would definitely dine here again. I’m just disappointed the shrimp creole isn’t on the regular menu.“

“I enjoyed dining at Her Place, I definitely felt like I was having a meal in someone's home. The restaurant is tiny and every table has a view of the kitchen. I dined by myself so I was placed at one of the two window seats. My back was toward the kitchen and I had to turn around each time the chef was describing the dishes. The menu wasn't something I would have normally chosen for myself, it was very seafood focused but it was all around tasty. The main dish was a quail and morels. My favorites of the night were the chicken liver pate with radishes and homemade Ritz cracker. They really did taste like a Ritz but much elevated. My other favorite of the night was the dessert: the rhubarb, cream cheese semi freddo, and meringue was to absolutely die for. You could really taste the cream cheese. Also notable was the sauce Americaine in the quenelle/lobster dish, I wanted to scoop it up and lick the plate. I see people complaining how it wasn't enough food since you had to share, I didn't have this problem, as I was solo and was able to eat full plates of everything. I enjoyed the final touches at the end, giving out cookies and a bag of Chex Mix. Bravo. I'd maybe come back if I were to travel to Philadelphia again. $120 after tax and tip.“

“Food was very good. I ordered the meatloaf. Sides are big enough for the entire table to share. Staff service was excellent everyone was so eager and happy to help. The staff even serve the food onto your plate. Nice dark environment. Drinks definitely were good, I got buzz from one drink. Birthday celebration where they even gave a hand written card. Such a pleasant experience“

“Amazing little bar with a great beer selection and excellent bar food. The wings were among the best I’ve ever had (and I’m from Alberta - we take wings seriously!) knowledgeable server and very friendly. They put a lot of care into the food and drink of this bar and it shows.“

“A bit loud but great food and so many choices! I would say they offer a good price for the quality. The pizza was top notch - fresh ingredients and well made, as were the polish pierogi, much lighter and more enjoyable than what I’ve had elsewhere. Definitely make a reservation. And there’s no signage outside so make note of the street address so you can find the right door (only the number outside). Have a blast there!Vegetarian options: Yes, many!“

“Awesome spot with great service, fun atmosphere, and a unique menu. My niece raved about the burger. My mom and I shared the pastrami fried rice which was a delicious surprise. I wasn't expecting how well the flavor combinations come together with the scallions, pastrami, and mustard sauce. The portions are huge! Definitely a go-to spot.“

“It’s a nice small area in the city! I definitely wanted to try a meal that night that was culturally different from my usual orders and this did it! “I had a pretty great experience with my girlfriend and family on a Friday night - they were able to get us inside as the outside became fairly windy. Great food, good service - very pleasant and not a bad price at all.The only improvement could be the outdoors structure but apparently they are improving that soon too.“

“This space is breathtaking. From the first few steps in, you know it’s going to be a good food experience. Meticulous detail on decor and the dishes. We had an oyster appetizer, fresh and well treated. We tried their pasta dishes and the spicy chicken sandwich and neither disappointed. Hands down best restaurant in the city.“

“Came here for a business dinner. It was really an amazing experience. This place is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. It's a tapas style tasting menu so they just bring you out like a dozen different dishes. The portions were perfect and everything was cooked to perfection. The ambiance is really nice and although the space is small it's not loud at all. I thought the waiter was also very nice professional and knowledgeable. This is definitely a high end place that is worth a visit. This may be one of the best restaurants in Philly.“

“Vernick Food & Drink- Philadelphia, Pa. 5 Stars NUMBER 1 ALL USA ALL-TIME!! As we drive north on Christmas Eve I felt a stop in the City of Brotherly Love was appropriate. It was not easy to reserve a fine dining adventure. Vernick could get us in at 11:00pm. I took it because I know how highly regarded this locale is. As we were driving I called and asked if there had been any cancellations. Lucky for me there was. 6:30pm. With a nine year old in tow it was much better. So we get to the restaurant and it's very small but packed to the rafters with people. This to me is always a good sign. All of the tables were very close together. However, being in an establishment like this you never have to worry. Everyone was dressed up and professional. They only downside to this review is it was too dark inside for me to snap pics of the food. I took them but they did not come out well. On to the substance of the experience. The drink menu is easily the coolest array of cocktails I have ever experienced. I started with the House Old Fashioned. A perfect balance of flavors between the bourbon, the butters and the Demerara sugar. My second drink was the Deshler a fine combination of top shelf rye whiskey, dubonnet and dry curaçao. If we were staying in town a few days I would have had more. As I perused the menu I began to wonder why restaurants with a diverse menu like Vernicks do not exist in my neck of the woods. Anyway, I started with fluke served sashimi style in a light piquant broth. The fluke was so fresh it was still moving on my plate. This was my first foray with fluke and it was way worth it. The adventure continued with veal sweetbreads. This organ was so juicy and tender. The sauce was decadent and smooth. I wrapped up with the venison. I have consumed venison over 20 times in my life. Every single time I always got a gamey note at the end. The Vernick venison was sans that note. How they did it I do not know. My daughter who is finicky tried it and thought it was filet mignon. After finishing the meal, we went to exit and the hostess was handing out packs of fresh baked chocolate fudge cookies. Thoroughly amazing. Big Boy rates this number 1 in the country.“
“Great live storytelling event! Intimate space. Drinks were good. Try out the duck cheesesteak. It was delicious! Definitely an elevated cheesesteak. Duck was very tender. It came with fries they were ok. No salt and some were way too soft. I like a little crunch on the outside.“

“I'm a huge fan of Sweet Amalia's, so when we were in the city looking for somewhere to eat I knew I had to check this place out! I starred off with an amazing drink and of course OYSTERS! Both of which were fantastic and a great start. I had the octopus lyonnaise for my meal and then the buttermilk panna cotta for dessert. We sat at the kitchen bar, which was really cool to watch the organized chaos of all of the hard work that goes into each plate. And our server was phenomenal. 5 stars! And already can't wait to go back!“

“I recently worked as a photographer at this bar/restaurant space that was being used for a wedding. There is a small space in the back thats great for pictures and small parties. “Four of us went there last night and all had a great time. The prices are through the roof; the bill for the four of us was $605, but it was worth it. Every single morsel of food and drop of liquid is superb; I can't even single any one item out. The staff members are all pleasant and professional, including the runners who deliver the food and take away the empty plates. They give me one more reason to believe that immigration is such a great thing for our country, despite what a certain narcissist politician and his cult followers might say. I want to give a special shout out to our server, Jim Cheatam, who has a terrific personality. It would be enough reason to go to Ocean Prime just for Jim, but there is so much more. If you have the dinero, visit Ocean Prime for a special treat. And get the Black Orchid, my favorite cocktail of all time!“

“On Point was very on point with our brunch. It's a BYOB spot in heart of Point Breeze with some great flavors and vibes. The group sampled quite a few starters including wings and cheesesteak egg rolls. For the main meal I had to go with the Challah French Toast. Unique flavor especially with the cheese and nuts. The group really enjoyed all the food. Our server TJ was also awesome. Made some great suggestions. Catch me back at on point in the summer.“

“We were very excited to try this spot and finally made it on a Saturday to celebrate our anniversary, which I noted when I made the reservation. Overall our experience was good, but not as good as we had hoped. The vibe and decor is absolutely gorgeous (although we do recommend that they dim the picture lights over the art, as it was very bright and reflective). We had the 4 course chef’s menu and every single dish was really beautiful - this was one of the standout elements, as all the plates looked like art themselves. The flavors were not bad but some of the dishes were on the bland side, while others were quite delicious. We started with the hamachi crudo and endive salad - both were okay. Then the crab bisque and charred octopus - the bisque was the winner. For mains we ordered the lamb loin and sea bass. The lamb dish came out first but we waited about 5 minutes for the bass to come, and it seemed as though the lamb was waiting in the kitchen for a while because it was mostly room temperature by the time I started to eat it. The flavors were good but mild. The seabass was delicious. Also really enjoyed the love cake for dessert. So, overall, a 4-course menu for $70 is a great price compared to the individually-priced dishes. While not every dish was amazing, the meal had some high notes and I really appreciated how beautiful they were. I was a little let down by parts of the meal and disappointed they didn’t acknowledge our anniversary, but overall I think this place was worth the visit and I will likely go back to try it again and explore some of the other dishes.“

“The Barnes Foundation Garden Restaurant is a gem! Beautiful setting and outstanding food and service. The Salade Nicoise was better than I had in Nice on a recent trip! Hats off to chef Michael O’Meara. The choice of greens and dressing superb. We came down from Northern Jersey, joined the museum , and will be back soon to the restaurant. Highly recommended. Locals are fortunate to have access to such a lovely restaurant. Chatted with a local proprietor at the Reading Market after and she concurred.“

“If you’re looking for a yummy brunch spot, you found it! You can’t go wrong with any dish you order. It literally all sounds and looks so delicious! I ordered the avocado toast (needed something light) and my husband got a daily special. Everything was so good! I would say go early but I’m not sure that would even help getting you seated faster but definitely plan on a little wait for a table. The bar is first come first serve - we were able to walk in a grab a seat quickly.“

“Vegan vegan vegan. With only one review on here using the word, it's time to draw attention. There are vegan options here. The veggie burger, vegetable wrap, and red pepper hummus with pita are all vegan. Yay! If you're into meat, you've got loads of options. Food spans a cross between gastro pub and dive bar (read: soups, chili, wings, steak tip sandwiches; quesadilla, nachos, and a variety of sandwiches.) Prices are reasonable and sandwiches come with fries or salad. The beer list is pretty long for a neighborhood watering hole. I snagged a pint of a great black lager, and also tried the Fiddlehead white which was nice too. There were about eight brews on draft and double that number in cans and bottles, plus ciders. Sitting under a tree trapped up in fairy lights on the outdoor patio was quite nice. Indoors is dark wood and a long bar and TV screens. Good place for sports fans or biergarten lunchers. Friendly service too. G'ahead, give it a try.“

“I admit— I’m addicted to their nitro cold brew. If I could siphon the stuff directly to my home I would! What’s even better than great coffee? When it’s being served be FANTASTIC baristas and staff! I absolutely love and respect all of them for constantly providing excellent, warm, and high-quality service no matter how busy the cafe gets. The Comcast Center attracts employees, tourists, and locals alike so it can get buzzy in there, but I can’t resist stopping by when I want a good cold coffee (small nitro, no room).“

“We stopped by after the Philly Love Run for a much needed brunch. It wasn’t full and we had a nice table upstairs by the window. The bartender is awesome! He made a perfect spicy Bloody Mary and was funny and helpful. Thanks for making out lunch great!!The menu online isn’t exactly what they have (at least for brunch) but what we had hit the spot. “My friend and I came across this lovely winery while out and about for New Year’s Eve (2024). We snagged a seat at the bar. Andrew was a great server, Very friendly and personable. I would like to come back for their cuisine, however they have an array of a wine list! I tried a few from dry to sweet and processed to ask questions, they’re extremely knowledgeable and proceeded to even look for an ice wine for me just by mentioning it. so far my favorite would be the house rosé. (and I don’t usually like the dryer side). Thank you for this experience, I am looking forward to many more and happy new year!“

“My friend group chose Harper Garden to be our after bridal shower dinner and drinks destination. Our party of 11 was catered to by Sean our waiter, and I cannot say enough what a good job he did. Throughout the entire night, we never once felt like our large group was a burden, and all of our food was brought out quickly along with our drinks. Our group decided to stick to mostly appetizers and cocktails. The espresso martini was extremely delicious. We also had several people in the group that were gluten-free or not drinking alcohol. They had a wide variety of mocktails as well as gluten-free options for the table. We got muscles, the cheeseboard, fries, buffalo wings, shrimp cocktail and we were not disappointed with any dish. They also had options for a gluten-free bun for the burger on the menu. We sat outside on the patio, which was enclosed and heated. The decorations and lights in the area made it a whimsical evening out. I would absolutely go back to this restaurant for a date night dinner or a cocktail night with friends.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free burger buns, mocktails“

“Our first experience here, popping in on a rainy Saturday evening. Despite the warm, welcoming interior, the first thing we noticed was how loud the restaurant was. Full capacity with a crowded bar does not need loud music playing! It was exceedingly difficult having a conversation with my partner, we actually gave up and people watched.Food was great! We enjoyed our bacon wrapped figs and goat cheese appetizers. The Tips & Shrimp and short rib pasta entrees were great as were the house-made beignets. The awesome hostess was as doing quadruple duty as Villanova students are one Spring break. “Ten Stone is my favorite neighborhood bar for watching the Sixers games. The bartenders and the people at the bar are very friendly and knowledgeable Sixers fans. Despite the Sixers game being on the bartenders keep the drinks flowing. My glass never sat empty for long. When it comes to food, I'm a sucker for anything with truffles, so I love the truffle popcorn. The cheesesteak eggrolls are also a great rendition of that dish. Crispy outside and plenty of meat and cheese inside. The chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun is also good. The chicken needs to be a bit juicier to take it over the top. The gumbo is also a good dish that will keep you warm in the winter and remind you of New Orleans. Unfortunately, the mac & cheese is terrible. As long as you avoid that dish you will have a good time at Ten Stone. If you come during a Sixers game you never know when you might see me at the bar.“
