“My work honored me recently with a retirement party, along with our Pittsburgh staff, at the Altius restaurant. My family has enjoyed dinner there before, and as always, everyone was quite impressed with the atmosphere, attentive staff, and fantastic food. Altius is a top-tier restaurant in Pittsburgh, and you will not be disappointed.“
“Great: service, portion sizes, after dinner cocktailGood: creativity of dishes, taste of dishesOK: price pointEh: it's loud. Ate late on weeknight and it was half fullI think a few of the previous reviews were a bit harsh, but it's the diners responsibility to know going in what menu looks like and what price point is.We had one dish from each "size" and desert and it was plenty of food. Not disappointed we ate there, not sure I'd go again for same menu.“
“Finally made it to this awesome brunch spot in Brookline. Line wasn't too bad that day, less than 20 minutes to wait. Picked up biscuits and gravy, spicy chicken biscuit sandwich, and Southern Breakfast with two eggs over easy, biscuits and gravy with fries chicken. Sausage gravy had delicious chuncks of sausage swimming in smooth white gravy. "Hot" chicken was fantastic with the Sichuan oil they use instead of cayenne. Can't go wrong when you see that red chili oil soak up on wonderfully made biscuits. Very good food and great service. Nice combo!“
“I was so excited to finally make it out to Eleven ❤️Eleven is a five star restaurant all the way. Loved being greeted by the fireplace as you entered. On a rainy day it was very comforting. We were seated upstairs overlooking the bar and though I don't have any photos, you need to go see it for yourself.JR, he's the one with the fabulous hair, took wonderful care of us.We ordered the salmon and scallops and beet salad. They were very tasty and filling. We did split the candy bar dessert.I was very excited that I got to try a glass of Pappy Van Winkle 20-year-old bourbon. It was fabulous. Thank you JR for suggesting it.I've decided I'm going to become a regular here. ❤️❤️❤️?“
“The cocktails are good and the food is delicious every time but what needs to be highlighted is the great service from the staff. Managers, servers, bartenders, etc. do whatever they can to make sure every guest has a wonderful time. It makes this a place you want to come back to.“
“We were on a special mother-daughter outing. Everyone was so kind, thoughtful, and gentle with my child who was having her first fancy meal out. The restaurant is also quiet which makes it easy to talk without raised voices. It was such a pleasant meal and since it went so well we'll be coming back for other meaningful family events. Thank you!“
“I walked in and immediately love the quiet and elegant atmosphere. I tried their scallop shrimp risotto, pork chops, tartar, pate. The pork chops were well cooked and tender. But other parts of the chop were a little dry and salty. The risotto was creamy as I expected. The tartar was lean and flavorful. I think the only dish I thought was lacking was the dessert - sponge cake. Definitely wasn’t my cup of tea.The service was amazing and the fact that you get to see the professional chefs move to make these amazing dishes- I love it.“
“My husband and I had a great time experiencing The Puttery for the first time. We had the unlimited package and played five rounds of golf. This includes three 9 hole courses that you can play as many times as you choose. We also took advantage of the food and drinks. Drinks are allowed on the course and each hole has a stand for you to rest your drinks while you putt. For dinner I had the appetizer, potato flautas, and my husband had the BBQ bacon burger. Each were delightful. The decor on the courses and throughout the building was so much fun. I really enjoyed the different seating selections for dining as well. Linda was the host for the Garage course the day we were there. She was super sweet and seemed to love her job so much! We would recommend this place to many and would definitely come again if we are in Pittsburgh .“
“I recently dined at Sultry F&B and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, especially Madi & Morgan, making excellent recommendations. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The attention to detail in both the food and the service truly elevated the dining experience. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Sultry F&B is definitely a gem in the Pittsburgh dining scene!“
“5 stars all the way. I'm vegetarian and my server recommended the mushroom taco. OMG. It was crispy oyster mushrooms with the precise amount of heat. I also go the baha fish taco and subbed potato for the fish. The potato was so crispy I thought they messed up my order and gave me fish. It was awesome, I can't wait to enjoy it again! I can't remember my servers name, but she was great too!“
“I moved away from Pittsburgh a couple years ago and I always regretted not trying Scratch & Co. I finally got a little reunion group together for brunch when I came back in town for a wedding, and I was blown away. The decor is charming, artful, and full of thoughtful antique restoration mixed with modern touches. The food was absolutely fantastic, I had the smash burger and also tried the bagel with schmear and shakshuka. So rare to find really good bagels in Pittsburgh and Scratch & Co. has them! I had an old fashioned donut as well which was also awesome. And the service was perfection as well. We had a great time, I can't wait to come back, I only wish I had made it more often before I left.“
“I treated a few of my students to Easter brunch. They even upgraded us to a private room, which gave the kids space to get the wiggles out, yet still practice their etiquette. All of the children's meals super were affordable. Our waiter was exceptionally kind and patient to all of my little guest. He made them feel welcomed and let them practice communicating confidently.Kid-friendliness: Kids prices were a flat rate. Options were dynamic yet limited so little brains didn't get overwhelmed with options.“
“We had a wonderful evening with family and friends. PA market is an excellent place to get together and enjoy many different flavorful dishes and drinks. The service is always outstanding. We had the arroz con pollo (rice with chicken) and it was delicious. Pizza is always well liked as well as the burgers. Highly recommend.“
“We (couple) had a great dinner at Bridges & Bourbon. The service and atmosphere were great. We booked a day-of reservation and could only get in for dinner at 8:45pm but we didn't mind terribly. It was the St Patrick's Day parade that day so perhaps was busier than normal. We started with the shrimp and salad, both were good but not amazing. I had the smash burger and my partner had the streak - the mains were great. We ended with the tiramisu cheesecake, not what I was expecting (it was in a small ramekin) and more of a mousse than a cheesecake, but it was a nice light sweet to end our meal. I don't drink but the cocktails they were making looked very cool. On the pricier side but for a special night out I think it's justifiable!“
“This is my third or fourth visit to the Vandal and I continue to be impressed. The service is terrific. The ambience is nice casual. There is a small careful menu. And once again for me, as on previous visits, the appetizers totally shine. Everyone of them is interesting. A bit out of the box a bit playful and just as yummy as the description. I'm not usually a big dessert person, but the toffee cake was very delicious.“
“I recently tried this place for the first time via grubhub. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The delivery was timely, and the food was delicious. The portion size was perfect, and everything tasted so good. I also appreciated the message on the box “thank you for supporting our dream.” I will be back again, but in person. I’d also recommend to anyone!“
“Restaurant is actually accessible (not just "pittsburgh accessible" lol), no entrance stairs and it's all on one floor, including bathrooms and outdoor space. There is a parking lot across the street with curb cuts but it crosses a pretty steep street. Food is decent gastro pub fare (I think they have a gluten free fryer but not 100% sure) and the staff act like they are happy to have you.Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is one floor no stairs“
“I am so happy this place exists! These are the best cocktails I have had since we moved to the area from the San Francisco Bay Area. So impressed by the staff, everyone is so friendly and every drink has been fantastic. We will definitely be back!“
“This place is absolutely amazing!!!! I came here with a large party of 10 and EVERYONE’s food was to die for. Some people got something sweet, some did savory….and they were all fantastic. LOVED that they had multiple Benedict’s to choose from. Service was also fantastic! 100000/10 would recommend.“
“The summit has been one of my favorite places since the day it opened. They have hands down the BEST Mac and cheese I've ever had. (I literally call and ask if they have it, believe me, if you know, you know!) they have the most creative cocktails and an amazing staff. I love the chill vibe with candles and dim lights. I newly found an extreme love for their smash burger as well. I'll be back, often!“
“Kevin the manager here is literally the best. They got my order wrong and he was so kind and understanding! He continuously checked in to make sure I was being taken care of and offered me a drink while I waited! Really appreciate him caring so much! I stopped to write this review on my way out ?“
“First time in Pittsburgh and found this restaurant just a short walk from my hotel. Walking by I did not think much, but it was such a pleasant surprise. The inside is beautiful, the staff are so friendly and courteous, and the food is phenomenal. I highly recommend the yellowfin tuna tower. I will come back here everytime I am in Pittsburgh!“
“This is a nice restaurant. The food was good and the service was well-done. With my food allergies, the menu was a bit limited. I can't eat garlic so I had only a few options. The prices are a bit on the high side. My salad meal with one drink and one appetizer was $48 for one person. The restaurant would improve if the lighting was brighter. It was quite dark in the restaurant.“
“This was our first time visiting Blue Sky, but we don't plan for it to be our last! Between us, we had the k-town ribs appetizer, the soup of the day, which was beef chili with cheddar, and chimichurri steak tacos. The fresh, innovative food was very good and served promptly. The service was outstanding. Our server was friendly, super knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely interested in seeing that our needs were met. We also had the unexpected pleasure of hearing a soloist named Katie Simone perform while we are. Great voice and pleasant commentary. All in all, it was a great date.“
“Food was great! The cannelloni was super flavorful, the foccacia was fluffy and delicious, and the veal was perfectly done. Finally, their new panna cotta is incredible.Service was top-notch thanks to Nick, and the living wall adds a ton to the atmosphere. Coming back soon!“
“My partner and I came here for our late Valentine's dinner and were very impressed. The menu had a great selection of entrees, and I was super pleased with my meatloaf. We got the deconstructed smores for dessert which was the perfect end to our celebration dinner. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and answered all our questions regarding drinks. We will be back!“
“I’m traveling from Oregon and stopped by for drinks and food. This is an amazing establish. Reviews don’t do justice. Highly highly recommend stopping by for a quick sip and bite. Everyone was really kind to me. As a solo traveler I wasn’t sure what I would get into. I got a simple shrimp in the basket and it was SO GOOD. Omg. I can go on and on about Squirrel Hill Cafe. From Oregon to Pittsburgh, put this one on your list to check out“
“Best prepared mussels in town in friendy elegant pub setting. Coconut curry sauce delish enough to require extra crusty bread request. Can't wait to try crafty cocktails on Feb. 1.Vegetarian options: Mixed greens salads w candied walnuts, hi grade olive oil vinaigrette. Believe fries are done in peanut oil.“
“I've lived near here for 9 years and finally made it to this place. A great spot in Aspinwall. We were able to get a reservation with short notice on a Friday night. Ambiance here is really nice, most of the dining area is outdoors (watch out for lantern flies). Our waiter was great, very attentive and friendly. They have a great cocktail list. I had the Frontporch Burger, it was great, I liked that it was served on focaccia. Prices are reasonable. Would definitely recommend a visit.“
“This place was beautifully redone from previous bar. I love the layout and all the selection of alcohol. Got the smash burger and friend got bision was perfect and we loved it. Prices are good as well. Thank you for fast and friendly service. .“
“Had a wonderful first time experience last night. Food and drinks were absolutely delicious, generous portions, and something to remember! Atmosphere was very cozy and fun. Staff were very friendly and attentive- Rachael was a gem! ? Will be back with friends!“
“The environment was wonderful. And the food was excellent. Had an outstanding salad to start my meal, followed by shrimp wrapped with bacon as an appetizer. For dinner, we had a burger, Lobster Ravioli, and Chicken and bisquits. Everything was wonderful.“
“Me and my family order from here pretty often, we typically don't have any problems and the food is delicious however just like alot of restaurant on weekends the food seems rush and thrown together, I ordered pizza, steak salad and wings with ranch on the side. the pizza was perfect but the salad barely and anything in it and only tiny bit meat and the ranch spilled all over the wings so I had to drive to get more since my husband can't eat ranch; I'll definitely be back but would probably consider only eating in on weekends for a better experience.“
“Outstanding pizza! As a lifelong NEW YORKER… I love pizza! Shelly Pie Pizza was absolutely outstanding. The best I’ve found in the area as of yet! Service and speedy service coupled with and amazing amount of topping loaded with delicious cheese to satisfy my true pizza craving experience. Thank you for the outstanding food! I WILL BE BACK REPEATEDLY!“
“A very nice selection of draght beers. Only had time for a quick couple of brews while waiting on the family. They had video trivia that would link to your phone. I will be spending more there when I get a chance. It is a great little spot that out of town visitors would enjoys. Being across the street from Grandpa Joe's Candy Store is a big plus. Prost.“
“Definitely the best Jamaican food I've ever had, I only wish I had gone to this place sooner. We tried the j*** chicken mac and cheese in addition to the brown stew chicken with rice, and they were both super flavorful and well portioned. I highly recommend trying this place for yourself.“
“Wonderful spot for just about any occasion - amazing brunch and even better dinner! The service is outstanding and the food has always been top-notch - thrilled to see such a great place on East Carson Street that brings a lot of class and great food to the South Side Flats.“
“City Kitchen was a self-driven experience that gave off upscale vibes. We walked in and my 9-year-old was delighted that he was empowered with so many options. After choosing a large comfy booth, he proceeded to use my phone to order from the vast menu.As I was putting my order in the staff brought over cutlery, glasses, and water. You pay as you enter your order on your phone, so there are no wasted trees (physical receipts). The food is then delivered promptly to your table. It felt like the Jetsons came and took over 2024 and packed flavor along with it. We enjoyed the food and our experience, we will be back!“
“I ordered the crab cake meal and I must say, they were better than the crab cakes I've ordered in Maryland. They were filled with lump crab meat and barely any filler. Delicious. My friend got Red wine braised short rib and also was impressed. Our server Matt was phenomenal. He explained the menu, was friendly and just great service all the way around. The restaurant is located inside the Sheraton Hotel in Station Square and was classy, clean, and inviting. I'll definitely return!“
“Although we have been here several times this was my first time for brunch. It was very off putting that we were asked by the hostess to leave. We occupied our table a little more than an hour. Both my friend and I are in town from Europe. I don’t care for being rushed through a meal. We had paid and were wrapping up our visit but the hostess asking us to leave was too much. We were planning on gathering there Tuesday again but now I think we’ll find somewhere else to go.“
“We tried this restaurant for breakfast and the food was very good. Prices were reasonable, better than most restaurants we have tried for breakfast. Coffee was served immediately after being seated and refilled constantly. It was a clean and neat restaurant, all the staff was very friendly. Will return again and again.“
“Great place to eat. The food was really good, and the service was exceptional. I went there on a Saturday morning at 9:30 AM, and it was a little busy. It seems to be the morning rush around that time. Youmay want to go a little earlier or a little later to avoid the Saturday morning rush.“
“We stayed at the Industrialist Hotel for a weekend getaway and booked a reservation for the Rebel Room (street level restaurant/bar in the hotel) for dinner on Saturday. They have a very nice selection of whiskeys and bourbons along with cocktails. The food selection isn't huge, but there is variety. We started with a charcuterie board and salads. Then split a burger. Everything was very very good. Its not very big, so be sure to have a reservation just in case. The atmosphere is really cozy and the service was great. Will definitely be back.“
“Leo is a hidden gem on the north side with a well-curated draft list, great bar snacks (oh, my! those pickled quail eggs), a massive collection of vinyl, and infused liquors you can have made into just about any cocktail (or better yet, let the tender decide). What more could you possibly need?“
“Big fan of this dive bar! Perfect place if you need quick food and a drink, and can sit at the bar. Also great to go with a group after a long bike ride on the trails! All the wraps are 10/10. Pump track wrap and rail trail are my favorite. I've had the best burgers ever here but they are not consistent. I think it depends on who is cooking because sometimes the are cooked to perfection, and other times they are dry and over done. But the toppings are always unique and good. Service is what you would expect from a dive bar, always friendly and attentive but let you be with your food and beer. Cool place.“
“Don't judge the book by its cover. This restaurant looks odd from outside, but as you enter, it's very welcoming. The ambiance and food are really nice. I definitely recommend it.Kid-friendliness: Shrimp steamed dumplings were good for kids , and customized chicken/ shrimp lomein can be ordered with less spice and oil.“
“We came with a group of 20+ and our bartender did great getting everyone taken care of. The food was delicious! We sampled a some of the Buffalo chicken and poutine taters tots along with the Mac n cheese from others in our group. DELICIOUS!!“
“A great local family-friendly tavern.Dennis was a funny and knowledgeable server. The sugar cookie martini was fantastic! The only drawback was the chicken on the chicken rancher flatbread. It tasted unseasoned and boiled and then seared. The rest of the dish was very flavorful. The broccoli cheddar pierogies were yummy and a perfect comfort food. The take out burger was juicy and quality beef. Fries were very good! Both reheated nicely in an airfryer.“
“Great modern, healthy, restaurant. I loved all the gluten free options and enjoyed the Greek warm bowl with salmon. I also had the kale and apple smoothie, it tasted like it sounds. There wasn’t a lot of sugar or additives to hide the flavor. I still enjoyed the smoothie but it’s not for everyone, it definitely grossed out my husband and toddlers. This may cost a bit more than some similar restaurants but I think it’s worth it for good quality, well made, Whole Foods- which they did an excellent job of providing.Dietary restrictions: They specify on the menu what is gluten free and have lots of good options.Kid-friendliness: I took my toddlers, they were comfortable there. Lots of room for the wagon. Men’s bathroom didn’t have a changing table.“
“I ordered two Chicken Romano dinners and a grilled chicken salad for take out. The Chicken Romano was delicious. It was also very juicy and tender. The grilled chicken salad was very tasty and it was huge. The staff was very friendly to me when I picked up my order. I highly recommended Emil’s and will definitely be back.“
