“My experience with Lancaster Pie & Coffee began before even entering. My husband and I were reading the sign and then when we finally headed in the owner was there opening the door for us, because he saw my husband was using a cane. Once we were inside we were met with the prettiest cafe, local art to peruse, the incredible smell of pie and the warmest smile from the woman behind the bar / register. The vibes were top notch. So what about the pie? If you call yourself a pie place the pie should be, at least- good. Well, the pie is actually quite amazing. We tried the apple, blueberry and the lemon. The lemon was the showstopper, but all three were spectacular. It felt like coming home and home is perfect and has great pie. Their hot chocolate was good and included rustic homemade marshmallows. The tea selection was fantastic. One of my favorite things (and there were many from my experience), was the quiche. I've tried the quiche in just about every establishment in downtown Lancaster that offers it- none compare to the quiche here. I ordered the Swiss mushroom and it was a revelation. I feel bad for all of the other quiche makers everywhere else. So far behind..... Overall, I was immediately love stricken with the business. They deliver on every level. And the kindness and charm of the employees, owner and hostess must not be diminished. I have a handful of businesses in downtown Lancaster I order from or frequent quite a bit and the owners who are always there are rarely ever friendly or chatty, which is fine, but I wish there was more friendliness. Pie & Coffee has amazing food, fantastic pies and beverages and then the staff is so welcoming and sweet. It's all the things.“
“I recently tried Rachel's Cafe and had the California Chicken Crepe and the Strawberry Crepe. Both were delicious! The California Chicken Crepe had tender chicken, fresh veggies, and a creamy sauce, all wrapped in a delicate crepe. The Strawberry Crepe was sweet and bursting with fresh flavor. The service was great, and the prices were even better, low price for sure. Highly recommended for a satisfying meal or sweet treat.“
“Drove past this coffee shop so many times and finally was able to stop by! I got a hot caramel latte and a cheese danish. Both were delicious! Went in the afternoon and wait time was short. The staff was very kind. I also loved that there was a little bible verse on the cup! The design is lovely! I will be back to try more flavors and support this sweet little business!“
“This place is a gem, my husband and I have been coming here with our two under two. The food is amazing, I'm vegan so I always get the delicious crispy falafel or falafel pita. Everything on the menu is very clear on what's vegan. The hummus is great too, pitas delicious and warm.My husband who isn't vegan enjoys the beef gyro and says it's flavorful and gets it everytime. We also ordered the chicken bites for kids and ours gobble them up.Check out this spot, it's nice and quiet for us but wouldn't mind to see more folks and kids. “These are the best donuts we've ever had and we're foodies. They're like a delicious mix between a croissant and donut. Literally want them every day and so glad we have such a delicious local donut shop. The atmosphere and decor inside is so cute also.“
“We are a family of 4 (ages 5 and 8) and we loved it!! Best part: a little nook with some toys and books. This made it possible for our kids to play and my husband and I could have a conversation without interruptions! The food was WONDERFUL, all of the staff was lovely, the bathrooms were clean and the decor and atmosphere are awesome. If we ever come back to this area we will definitely be back!!“

“My wife and I love Twin Valley Coffee. It is our weekly ritual to spend every Saturday morning enjoying a cold brew with caramel and sweet cream. The best coffee in the area and the service is fantastic. We also love to grind their Jamaican Me Crazy whole bean coffee at home. Simply the best!“

I took my kids there for the first time since we had a little bit of time to spare, the service was excellent, it was inviting and the staff were all so patient (since the 3 of us were new the entire Oola bowl experience). “The Bolo was the bessssssst breakfast sandwhich I’ve ever eaten. Might try on a different bagel next time- ordered on salt and probably would be better on everything or sesame considering bologna is already so salty. Also had walnut/fig cream cheese on cinnamon raisin which was also perfect. Coffee also tasted super fresh and artisanal for a regular drip?? All around superb.“

Locals are obsessed with Dosie Dough because of their hours (open on Sunday), quick, good food, and free coffee multiple days throughout the month thanks to local businesses. Sometimes the baked goods could be a bit fresher in my opinion, but that's about it. They have some healthier options too like granola bars, 4 seed cookies, etc. I like that they have oat milk in their fridge for drip coffee.“

“This place is my staple place for when I want to get a good coffee, a yummy snack/meal, all while getting some work done on my laptop. I haven't had one bad thing here yet. “Amish girls are super sweet. Chai is perfectly made, not watered down at all. Everything is so affordable compared to similar places. Ambience leaves a bit to be desired but for the prices, it's difficult to complain. Still much cozier than similar amish run stores. There's a small play area in the back for children away from the actual 'cafe' 8.9/10Dietary restrictions: They have gluten-free, homemade cookies that are fairly large and inexpensive.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. “AMAZING PLACE!!! MORE AMAZING PEOPLE!!! I am a tour operator and had a group at Tanger Outlet Lancaster. Long and the short... I had a client in need of seat, and an outlet for his portable O2 in a standing room only Butter & Bean. So, one of the staff hears my plea for help and Jessie, the owner comes out. She makes arrangements for not only a seat near an outlet but grabs an extension cord to allow for some movement. The patrons in the entire cafe made way for Jessie and my client. I ask if we can just chill for an hour or so, till he gets charged up and she wouldn't hear of it. "Stay as long as you need to", she said. So, I bought my client a coffee and a sandwich, which was amazing, bought some coffees for those that made space for him, and invited the entire bus group to join us and support Butter and Bean. And we sure did. The food and coffee were great, but the spirit, the vibe and the whole experience I needed to share. Oh, did I mention it was Black Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 1230p!!! Who does that??? Well, Butter and Bean does! So, get great coffee and really good eats, and support a business that we will proudly support in every way.“

“After being addicted to Dunkin' Donuts coffee for decades, I discovered Lancaster County Coffee Roasters at a local store. This is by far the best coffee I have ever had. I'm thoroughly addicted to Ross Street roast with Market House a close second. Do yourself a favor, go on their website and check out all their different coffees and buy some. You will enjoy superb coffee at reasonable prices.“
“Super friendly. We were greeted upon entering and showed a menu. Tried the butter latte (delicious!) which was perfectly prepared. Chocolate croissant was divine. Pistachio macaron was oh so lovely, as was the dark chocolate lavender one. Great little coffee shop with welcoming staff. Honestly, we didn't find what we were looking for while shopping at Tanger outlets, but this coffee shop saved our trip and brightened our day!“

“Was not expecting baked oatmeal, bagels, and treats from the local Ric's Breads bakery at this two-track train station! Service was quick and friendly. The drip coffee I got from their carafes was pretty good, hot, a few options available. And there are even a few tables outside, or you can sit on one of the lovely wooden benches as the morning light streams in from the windows of a lovely, clean train station. Love that this cafe is here now!“
“I grabbed breakfast here yesterday and have to say this is quite the hidden gem. The building and decor are so cozy and made me feel right at home. The owners have a dog who runs around the property and was just the sweetest thing, making the trip even more fun. I ordered a vanilla latte, which was good and had a strong espresso. I also ordered a brick house omelet to eat. Unfortunately it seemed like my omelet was forgotten about because they were in the middle of a rush, so I asked for it after 30 min. They then got it out quickly and it was delicious- filled with sausage, bacon, peppers, onions, and cheese. It was so big and came with toast, so I was stuffed by the time I was finished. Other than the service snafu, I really liked this cafe!“

The coffee was good , could’ve been a little stronger but that’s a personal opinion! Their pastries and food were straight up delicious! I wrote an email to the manger of the Roasted Rooster, and she replied within hours with information that I am so very thankful for, because now I can get my husband a special Christmas gift. If you find yourself in the Kitchen Kettle and in need of a coffee or tea, do not hesitate to step inside. It's clean, friendly and delicious. We can't wait for our return in a few months to get some more coffee.“

I can see how they needed to keep it on the menu. It was absolutely delicious. I wish I had one of these shops closer to home. The Chai is to die for as well. “I've been buying their coffee for months! They roast it fresh and it's incredibly good quality with plenty of options of flavored and unflavored. I love their light roasts, and my two favorite flavored coffees are vanilla macadamia nut and Aztec! I highly recommend this coffee producer!“

“10/22/23 When our son got married here about 14 months ago, this was just opening up. I think it's a splendid addition to this gorgeous hotel. It's bright, clean, chill and relaxing to enjoy a coffee or breakfast item here. The staff is ultra pleasant and polite. Not only do they have fabulous light breakfast- lunch selections but feast your eyes on the case that has all on site hotel Pasteur chef creations. Not only are they beautiful but they are absolutely delicious made with fresh ingredients. It's so nice to sit here with a fresh cup of coffee and watch the sunrise. I'm so happy this beautiful cafe was added.“

“You want a banger for a bakery look no further than La Dolce Vita. As the name suggests, the bakery expertly makes a huge variety of Italian desserts, which of those I have tried are excellent. I especially love the cannolis, which are beautifully flaky coated with a variety of chocolate on the inside. The whole place smells so darn good. They even offer lunch options as well. A must try if you love desserts !“

“I haven't been inside, I've only visited the drive thru, but almost every coffee I've gotten since they opened has been on point. It's the only Starbucks in Lancaster where the coffee is consistent and just right (what I've come to expect from Starbucks). I'm ashamed to say how much I go through Starbucks drive thrus around the county, the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the drink they put in your hand is far and above the rest of the locations. Not sure why the others have such inconsistent drinks, but it's annoying. So happy this one opened up.“
