“We are a family of 4 (ages 5 and 8) and we loved it!! Best part: a little nook with some toys and books. This made it possible for our kids to play and my husband and I could have a conversation without interruptions! The food was WONDERFUL, all of the staff was lovely, the bathrooms were clean and the decor and atmosphere are awesome. If we ever come back to this area we will definitely be back!!“

“My experience with Lancaster Pie & Coffee began before even entering. My husband and I were reading the sign and then when we finally headed in the owner was there opening the door for us, because he saw my husband was using a cane. Once we were inside we were met with the prettiest cafe, local art to peruse, the incredible smell of pie and the warmest smile from the woman behind the bar / register. The vibes were top notch. So what about the pie? If you call yourself a pie place the pie should be, at least- good. Well, the pie is actually quite amazing. We tried the apple, blueberry and the lemon. The lemon was the showstopper, but all three were spectacular. It felt like coming home and home is perfect and has great pie. Their hot chocolate was good and included rustic homemade marshmallows. The tea selection was fantastic. One of my favorite things (and there were many from my experience), was the quiche. I've tried the quiche in just about every establishment in downtown Lancaster that offers it- none compare to the quiche here. I ordered the Swiss mushroom and it was a revelation. I feel bad for all of the other quiche makers everywhere else. So far behind..... Overall, I was immediately love stricken with the business. They deliver on every level. And the kindness and charm of the employees, owner and hostess must not be diminished. I have a handful of businesses in downtown Lancaster I order from or frequent quite a bit and the owners who are always there are rarely ever friendly or chatty, which is fine, but I wish there was more friendliness. Pie & Coffee has amazing food, fantastic pies and beverages and then the staff is so welcoming and sweet. It's all the things.“

“Pretty sweet coffee shop in downtown Lancaster. Coffee is good and the food was ok. I ordered a savory pastry that could have been warmed up but I was not offered that option. Be wary digital nomads, there is no Wifi offered at this shop, despite the name and numerous outlets under the seats.“

“We had a fabulous meal and experience. They even helped me when the most embarrassing thing happened. I accidently left my wallet at home, so one of the waitresses volunteered to use her Venmo to cover our bill. There was no scene,no fuss, and it eased my embarrassment just a few simple clicks, and I was able to pay the bill. Thank you!“

“What a GEM we’ve found in Freshly Greek! The owner clearly really cares about the amazing food & the atmosphere. This place has the most amazing pita, hummus, drinks, and authentic Greek food! “The Bolo was the bessssssst breakfast sandwhich I’ve ever eaten. Might try on a different bagel next time- ordered on salt and probably would be better on everything or sesame considering bologna is already so salty. “Parking: New Holland Family Restaurant next door to Comfort Inn, which is very good, share the same front parking lot, therefore, sometimes restaurant and inn are both busy. There is much free parking in the outdoor mall across Pennsylvania State Route 23 East and West from the Comfort Inn and New Holland Family Restaurant.“

Including a couple of vegan options.There is a variety of coffee beans for sale.Staff is very friendly and there is plenty of seating. “Amish girls are super sweet. Chai is perfectly made, not watered down at all. Everything is so affordable compared to similar places. Ambience leaves a bit to be desired but for the prices, it's difficult to complain. Still much cozier than similar amish run stores. “Went for a February Saturday morning right when they opened. The staff was friendly and the food and coffee were delicious. We got the shakshouka for 2. Food took about 20 minutes, but that was probably because they were just opening. I would definitely go back. Also great ambiance inside.“

“I go to a lot of cafes. A lot.Not only is this place walking distance from my house but it’s also one of my favorites from dc to Boston. They always got seasonal late flavors. Their breakfast options are delicious. “We stopped in to get lattes on our way out of Lancaster. I ordered a Carmel frappe which was really good. My husband ordered hazelnut cappuccino and lived it. There is a nice sitting area while you wait.We will definitely return.Parking: This is a very busy parking lot because of the outlets. I was surprised how open the parking lot was.“

“Super friendly. We were greeted upon entering and showed a menu. Tried the butter latte (delicious!) which was perfectly prepared. Chocolate croissant was divine. Pistachio macaron was oh so lovely, as was the dark chocolate lavender one. Great little coffee shop with welcoming staff. Honestly, we didn't find what we were looking for while shopping at Tanger outlets, but this coffee shop saved our trip and brightened our day!“

I'm thoroughly addicted to Ross Street roast with Market House a close second. Do yourself a favor, go on their website and check out all their different coffees and buy some. “Was not expecting baked oatmeal, bagels, and treats from the local Ric's Breads bakery at this two-track train station! Service was quick and friendly. The drip coffee I got from their carafes was pretty good, hot, a few options available. And there are even a few tables outside, or you can sit on one of the lovely wooden benches as the morning light streams in from the windows of a lovely, clean train station. Love that this cafe is here now!“

“I really drove up for a Chai Tea and a White Chocolate Hot drinks. I enjoyed these two drinks often. Unfortunately these two didn't survive the way home. The cups were defective and leaked. Unfortunately the bag tore when I reached my destination. No drinks but one hot mess. I called the restaurant and left the manager know and she graciously offered to replace. “I grabbed breakfast here yesterday and have to say this is quite the hidden gem. The building and decor are so cozy and made me feel right at home. The owners have a dog who runs around the property and was just the sweetest thing, making the trip even more fun. I ordered a vanilla latte, which was good and had a strong espresso. I also ordered a brick house omelet to eat. Unfortunately it seemed like my omelet was forgotten about because they were in the middle of a rush, so I asked for it after 30 min. They then got it out quickly and it was delicious- filled with sausage, bacon, peppers, onions, and cheese. It was so big and came with toast, so I was stuffed by the time I was finished. Other than the service snafu, I really liked this cafe!“

I wrote an email to the manger of the Roasted Rooster, and she replied within hours with information that I am so very thankful for, because now I can get my husband a special Christmas gift. If you find yourself in the Kitchen Kettle and in need of a coffee or tea, do not hesitate to step inside. It's clean, friendly and delicious. “10/22/23 When our son got married here about 14 months ago, this was just opening up. I think it's a splendid addition to this gorgeous hotel. It's bright, clean, chill and relaxing to enjoy a coffee or breakfast item here. The staff is ultra pleasant and polite. Not only do they have fabulous light breakfast- lunch selections but feast your eyes on the case that has all on site hotel Pasteur chef creations. Not only are they beautiful but they are absolutely delicious made with fresh ingredients. It's so nice to sit here with a fresh cup of coffee and watch the sunrise. “You want a banger for a bakery look no further than La Dolce Vita. As the name suggests, the bakery expertly makes a huge variety of Italian desserts, which of those I have tried are excellent. I especially love the cannolis, which are beautifully flaky coated with a variety of chocolate on the inside. The whole place smells so darn good. They even offer lunch options as well. “I haven't been inside, I've only visited the drive thru, but almost every coffee I've gotten since they opened has been on point. It's the only Starbucks in Lancaster where the coffee is consistent and just right (what I've come to expect from Starbucks). I'm ashamed to say how much I go through Starbucks drive thrus around the county, the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the drink they put in your hand is far and above the rest of the locations. Not sure why the others have such inconsistent drinks, but it's annoying. So happy this one opened up.“
