“I have eaten here many of times. The food is always so good. I got two pizza's last night and it was really hard to eat because it had a burnt taste to it. I had gotten two pizza's and they both tasted the same. A little disappointing being I have always had great pizza from here. The burnt taste for me was so bad. Felt like I wasted $40 on pizza. I still give 4 stars because of past experiences.“

Where they fell short was with the overpriced drinks, Autumn rum runner and a martini. The martini came with a 2" square ice cube and not much drink. They need to take lessons from Penn's Tavern Restaurant on how to make a rum runner. No one has beat theirs yet.“

“My wife and I had lunch at Chilangos today, the food was amazing. My wife loved her Shrimp Enchiladas, and I had the best Birria Tacos I've ever eaten. Lots of meat, which melted in my mouth. Tortillas were fried crispy, and I loved the grilled onions/chilis and cilantro/onions that were served on the side. Service has always been great when we eat there.“

“My husband and I have been wanting to try Silantra for months and today we finally checked it out! We LOVE it!! The food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly. Our 11 year old son had a chicken and rice bowl with yellow coconut curry sauce and he wanted me to write that it had the perfect mix of spices and the chicken had a perfect texture. Five stars!! We will 100% be coming back!!“

“We had one of the most wonderful dining experience at Vecu restaurant ( used to be known as Bistro Barbaret). Chef Kevin is a young, promising chef with a great potential!! The service was superb!! Meridith, the maître de is absolutely the best show in town!!! Very knowledgeable, experienced and personal. This place will not be the same without him!! Can’t wait to be back there for another delightful dining experience. On the way out we couldn’t avoid the little European pastry shop. We are very well traveled European couple and we must say, these are by far one of the best pastries in the US, if not the top!!! “The food is to die for, you cannot pick a wrong item! We got the crab dip appetizer, pulled pork entree, crab cake sandwich and the kid's mini dog with fries. Everything was spectacular. Highly recommend the apples and cinnamon as a side! The staff is helpful and attentive from the host all the way to the waitress and managers. I've never been to a restaurant where the service is so great! We will definitely be a return customer 😊 Side note: The restaurant is extremely kid friendly and accommodating. They have high chairs and tables with enough room to fit the high chair or a stroller while still having enough room for everyone else.“

“We have been going there for decades. Generous portions (at good prices) give at least one more meal from leftovers. Rarely have room for the good-looking desserts, but when we do, they are great. Vegetables often disappoint, but a double order of the excellent fries provides potatoes with our eggs the next morning.“

After waiting a little bit the front desk went to check on it and said they were a little bit behind which ok it was busy and prime dinner time on a Friday. Not long after another employee came out to tell me they’re so sorry that the kitchen is behind and offered me a free drink of my choice, I passed it up and instead they gave me two growlers to go, mind you I was ok with waiting on my food I wasn’t complaining just waiting patiently. It was like 15min past the time they gave me ok, no biggie. When I finally got home to eat all the food was amazing and hot. In today’s world this really means a-lot, I love supporting local!! Becky’s Kitchen is truly one of the homiest, most welcoming little eateries you’ll ever step into! I had been here for lunch a few years ago, but my husband had never experienced it, so we decided to stop in for breakfast—and wow, am I glad we did.

The menu is wonderfully abundant for such a small, quaint place. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The pancake was the fluffiest we have ever had. The egg scramble—mine was the chicken, ham, and cheese—was absolutely delicious. The breakfast potatoes with onions were super flavorful and cooked perfectly. The staff is incredibly friendly and makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. And I absolutely love the self-serve coffee and tea bar—such a cozy touch!

We also peeked at the lunch menu and already know we’ll be back soon so my husband can try it out next. Becky’s Kitchen is a must-visit spot, whether you’re local or just passing through. Highly, highly recommended!“
