“About a year ago, I went to John Wright Restaurant for Sunday brunch with a group of friends. I didn’t know what to expect, but the moment I arrived, I was struck by the beautiful waterfront scenery and the stunning, rustic building. Inside, that old-world charm blends perfectly with an upscale dining vibe, giving the place a truly special and unique energy. The brunch was absolutely delicious—so many options, including my personal favorite, eggs Benedict. Fast forward to last night: I stopped in for happy hour with a friend, and we grabbed seats at the bar. It was surprisingly comfortable and not overcrowded at all. The two bartenders were fantastic—warm, funny, and attentive. And the cocktails… OH MY GOSH. Just try them. You’ll thank me later! We ordered the calamari and crab risotto small plates, and they were so good that we immediately ordered a second round of the exact same thing. From a relaxed Sunday brunch, to after-work apps and cocktails, to a special dinner out—John Wright Restaurant gets a solid 10/10 from me. 🍽️“

“Our son's wedding reception was held here, and it was our first time visiting. I was being a bit nosy about the basement when a gentleman who worked there noticed and kindly asked if we’d like to take a peek. Thank you again — that small gesture showed how much you care about your visitors’ experience. During the reception, a family with three young kids started to get a little bored. That same gentleman came out with a basket of brand-new Matchbox cars and gave each child one. Wow! What a thoughtful and above-and-beyond thing to do. “I can’t recommend this place enough! I’ve ate here several times both dinned in and take out and their food is so authentic, so flavorful at such a great price! Not only are your taste buds going to explode with flavor but the staff is so sweet and friendly. They’re quick to approach and get you situated weather it’s take out or dinning in. Lots of younger folks taking the orders, getting you seated and bringing your take out in such a timely manner. It’s also byob. If you haven’t checked this place out, you need to ask yourself why?!?“

“My husband and I loved the winery's website info and visited on a whim - SO glad we did! The property is beautiful and the venue is very spacious and welcoming. Sasha greeted us warmly. He was very knowledgeable and helpful! He patiently explained the different types of wines and helped us in choosing a few that we wanted to sample and purchase. “While we were staying at a local B&B I was searching for something light to eat. This place came across my radar and I decided to try it. So I ordered a cheese steak wrap with lettuce and tomato. Fries and a drink came with it also. The wrap itself was small but that's ok I wasn't really that hungry lol. The taste was amazing and the fries were crispy. Not a bad deal for 11.00. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. They also bring your food to your table. I liked that. I'm definitely coming back again when I'm in the area to try something else 👏“

“My husband and I tried this establishment for the first time last night. We were greeted right away and told to sit where we liked. Our waitress came by our table a couple minutes later to take our drink order. My husband had a bacon cheeseburger and fries, and I ordered a large dinner salad and a chicken breast sandwich. I also ordered a side of cinnamon applesauce and a side of coleslaw. Our food came out pretty quickly. My salad was fresh and my grilled chicken was very tasty. My husband said his bacon cheeseburger was done perfectly. The coleslaw was just a tad bit on the sweet side, but still flavorful. I really enjoyed the applesauce; it wasn't overly sweet and there was just the right amount of cinnamon on it. The restaurant was clean and the staff were super friendly. A friend of mine of many years said it’s the best in the area, my wife and I just moved back from Florida and they don’t make very pizza down there.😊 Anyway, your pizza is AWESOME, TASTY and just very very delicious and great!!!! “Their Angus steak burgers are shockingly good! I didn't have a fresh pizza but I got a slice of margherita pizza (at 8pm) and it was still very good despite being most likely hours old. Am definitely coming back later in the week to try a fresh pizza.“

“Papa's hooked me up the other night. I came in close to closing time and asked for a couple slices. They had sold out, but did offer to bake me some fresh pizza. I paid for 2 slices, but they were good enough to provide me with the whole pie! They couldn't have been nicer about it and really helped me out after a long day. These guys deserve your business.“

“We stay there at least twice a year when we go to Events at Mount Hope Winery. The rooms are great and the resteraunt/bar never disappoints ( huge selection of seasonal beer/ cocktails) They even have a great selection of gluten free items at breakfast“
